yy The file name is limited to 180 characters.

yy Maximum files/Folder: Less than 2000 (total number of files and folders)

yy Depending on the size and number of the files, it may take several minutes to read the contents on the media.

yy File compatibility may differ depending on the server.

yy Because the compatibility on DLNA server are tested on the bundle DLNA server (Nero MediaHome 4 Essentials) environment, file requirements and playback functions may differ depending on media servers.

yy The file requirements on page 8 are not always compatible. There may have some restrictions by file features and media server’s ability.

yy Playing a video subtitle files are only available on share folder of a PC or DLNA media server created by supplied Nero MediaHome 4 Essentials software on this unit package.

yy The files from removable media such as USB drive etc. on your media server may not be shared properly.

yy This unit cannot support the ID3 Tag embedded MP3 file.

yy The total playback time of audio file indicated on the screen may not correct for VBR files.

yy HD video files contained on the USB 1.0/1.1 may not played properly. USB 2.0 are recommended to play back HD video files.

yy This unit supports H.264/MPEG-4 AVC profile Main, High at Level 4.1. For a file with higher level, the warning message will appear on the screen.

About DLNA

This Unit is a DLNA Certified digital media unit that can display and play movie, photo and music content from your DLNA-compatible digital media server (PC and Consumer Electronics).

The Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) is a cross-industry organization of consumer electronics, computing industry and mobile device companies. Digital Living provides consumers with easy sharing of digital media through your home network.

The DLNA certification logo makes it easy to find products that comply with the DLNA

Interoperability Guidelines. This unit complies with DLNA Interoperability Guidelines v1.5.

When a PC running DLNA server software or other DLNA compatible device is connected to this unit, some setting changes of software or other devices may be required. Please refer to the operating instructions for the software or device for more information.

LG Remote

You can control this unit with your iPhone or Android phone via your home network. This unit and your phone must be connected to your wireless network device such as access point.

Visit “Apple iTunes” or “Google Apps Marketplace” for detailed information of “LG Remote”.

Compatibility Notes

yy If you experience compatibility problems, please contact an authorized Customer Service Center.

yy Dolby Digital Plus are supported with maximum 7.1 channels if you use HDMI connection for the audio output of the unit.

Certain System Requirements

For high definition video playback:

yy High definition display that has HDMI input jacks.

For Dolby® Digital Plus and DTS multi-channel audio playback:

yy An amplifier/receiver with a built-in (Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus or DTS) decoder.

yy Main, center, surround speakers and subwoofer as necessary for chosen format.

For playing files on your PC’s share folder via your home network, the PC requires below.

yy Windows® XP (Service Pack 2 or higher), Windows Vista® (no Service Pack required) Windows 7® (no Service Pack required)

yy 1.2 GHz Intel® Pentium® III or AMD Sempron™ 2200+ processors

yy Network environment: 100 Mb Ethernet, WLAN

yy More than 1 folder on your PC has to be shared. Visit suppot link of your operating system for more information on file share settings.

A 1(POWER): Switches the unit ON or OFF.

In web browser menu, You can control this button displayed cursor in all directions.

Note: If you leave the unit without touching, the touch function will be disable for energy saving. To activate the touch function, press direction button and touch the sensors.

E HOME (n): Displays or exits the Home Menu.

F BACK (x): Exits the menu or resumes playback.

GColored (R, G, Y, B) buttons:

They are also used for [Smart Share], [Premium] and [Web Browser] menu.

Hd (Play): Starts playback. M (Pause): Pauses playback.

Ic/v: Searches backward or forward.

C/V: Press and hold for two seconds to skip previous/ next chapter or file.

Z (Stop): Stops playback.

Battery Installation

Remove the battery cover on the rear of the Remote Control, and insert two R6 (size AA, alkaline) batteries with 4and 5matched correctly.

Connecting the AC

Adapter

Connect the unit to the power supply with the supplied AC adapter.

Connect the power cord to the adapter, and then plug the other end into an AC outlet.

Only use the AC adapter supplied with this device. Do not use a power supply from another device or another manufacturer. Using any other power cable or power supply may cause damage to the device and void your warranty.

HDMI Connecting to Your TV

If you have a HDMI TV or monitor, you can connect it to this unit using a HDMI cable (Type A, High Speed HDMI™ Cable). Connect the HDMI jack on the unit to the HDMI jack on a HDMI compatible TV or monitor.

Set the TV’s source to HDMI (refer to TV’s Owner’s manual).

yy If you select a resolution manually and then connect the HDMI jack to TV and your TV does not accept it, the resolution setting is set to [Auto].

yy If you select a resolution that your TV does not accept, the warning message will appear. After resolution change,

if you cannot see the screen, please wait 20 seconds and the resolution will automatically revert back to the previous resolution.

yy The 1080p video output frame rate may be automatically set to either 24 Hz or 60 Hz depending both on the capability and preference of the connected TV.

Additional Information for HDMI

yy When you connect a HDMI or DVI compatible device make sure of the following:

-- Try switching off the HDMI/DVI device and this unit. Next, switch on the HDMI/DVI device and leave it for around 30 seconds, then switch on this unit.

-- The connected device’s video input is set correctly for this unit.

-- The connected device is compatible with 720x480p, 1280x720p, 1920x1080i or 1920x1080p video input.

yy Not all HDCP-compatible HDMI or DVI devices will work with this unit.

-- The picture will not be displayed properly with non-HDCP device.

Resolution Setting

The unit provides several output resolutions for HDMI OUT. You can change the resolution using [Setup] menu.

1. Press HOME (n).

2.Press green (G) colored button. The [Setup] menu appears.

yy If a connected HDMI device does not accept the audio output of the unit, the HDMI device’s audio sound may be distorted or may not output.

yy When you use HDMI connection, you can change the resolution for the HDMI output. (Refer to “Resolution Setting” on page 13)

yy Select the type of video output from the HDMI OUT jack using [HDMI Color Setting] option on the [Setup] menu (see page 23).

yy Changing the resolution when the connection has already been established may result in malfunctions. To solve the problem, turn off the unit and then turn it on again.

yy When the HDMI connection with HDCP is not verified, TV screen is changed to black screen. In this case, check the HDMI

connection, or disconnect the HDMI cable.

yy If there are noises or lines on the screen, please check the HDMI cable (length is generally limited to 4.5 m(15 ft.)).

3.Use W/Sto select [DISPLAY] option then press Dto move to the second level.

5.Use W/Sto select the desired resolution then press Center button to confirm your selection.

A digital multi-channel connection provides the best sound quality. For this, you need a multichannel Audio/Video Receiver that supports one or more of the audio formats supported by your unit. Check the logos on the front of the Audio/Video receiver and the manual. (PCM Stereo, Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus or DTS)
