Virtually Seamless 120” Screen

The seam size of one side has only 2mm. Viewers can enjoy the virtually seamless screen on the 2 X 2
120” multi-vision display. This virtually seamless design lets you watch natural screens without black lines
on your video wall composition.

APC (Auto Picture Calibrator)

LG’s plasma 60PJ10 model is designed for 2 by 2 multi-vision display system. On the large multi-vision
screen the most important point is picture uniformity of unit set respectively which composes the 2 by 2
multi-vision. Especially, brightness, color temperature and gamma curve are considerable to represent
natural, vivid image to viewers. LG’s plasma technology provides the APC System that automatically
calibrates the unit set of picture level to affect the brightness, color temperature, gamma curve and so on.

Each unit set exchanges the APL (Average Picture Level)
information with each other at same time.
The controller (APC) feeds back appropriate picture level
each unit set. Finally viewers can see the unified image on
the 2 by 2 screen, working independently.

Only LG’s plasma display has this cutting-edge
technology to calibrate a unit display set.

Anti Burn-in Protection (ISM)

LG’s plasma display provides the anti burn-in protection function in the main chip, which has several
types of anti burn-in protection image and function more. Using this internal image and function, the
display set adapted LG’s plasma module dramatically reduces burn-in.
Additionally ISM (Image Sticking Minimization) on the plasma module is recommended to eliminate
the burn-in image.

Screen Saver (Brightness Control)

What is the Image Sticking?

All displays, not only plasma panels, basically have image
sticking problems. Fortunately, plasma panel’s image
sticking is a temporal phenomenon caused by the unstable
electrical state in plasma cells, not permanent.

If there is no movement for
several moments (which are
defined by the user), brightness
can drop to max. 30% of its
initial value finally.

This Screen Saver (Brightness
Control Method) is also one of
the ISM (Image Sticking
Minimization) method that can
eliminate the burn-in image
effectively.

The execution of ISM is a
selective function and users
can set up the screen saver
on-off simply.

How to save the power in Plasma?

The Answer is
CELL DIMMING.
3 Mega Control System

To display a white expression in a plasma panel, each Red, Green, Blue cells will be turned on at same time.
But for expressing red screen, only red cell should be turned on, the other green and blue should be
turned off. In other words, only charged red cells spend the electric power, the other cells are not charged.
However on the same red screen sometimes the different level of brightness may occur.
The electric power will be proportional to the brightness level of cells in LG’s plasma display, varying with
the sustained number (electric power) each cells

Power Consumption on each load

The power consumption varies with the load (on cells member) in LG’s plasma display

Dimming Driving method is a cutting edge technology for Flat Panel Displays
that improve picture quality and help reduce power consumption.
LG’s 60” Plasma Panel has 3,144,960 cells and each cell’s brightness can be
adjusted and controlled by the new Cell Dimming Driving method.
The Cell Dimming Driving method is advanced compared to other devices in
the display industry as they use a method called Local Dimming that can only
control the brightness of backlights in blocks.
Control of over 300 million individual cells shows the superior picture quality
and energy saving technology of LG’s Plasma Panels.
