5.1 Speaker Setup
Make the following settings for the built-in 5.1 channel surround decoder.
1. Press ENTER and 5.1 Speaker Setup menu appears.
2. Use b / B to select the desired speaker.
3. Adjust options using v / V / b / B buttons.
4. After setting, returns to the previous menu by pressing RETURN button.
Speaker selection
Select a speaker that you want to adjust. [Front speaker (Front L), Front speaker (Front R), Center Speaker (Center), Subwoofer (SubWoofer), Rear speaker (Rear L), Rear speaker (Rear R)]
Note:
Certain speaker settings are prohibited by the Dolby Digital licensing agreement.
Size
Since the speaker settings are fixed, you cannot change the settings.
Volume
Press b / B to adjust the output level of the selected speaker. (-6dB ~ 6dB)
Distance
If you connected speakers to your DVD/CD Receiver, setting the Distance lets the speakers know how far the sound has to travel to reach your set listening point. This allows the sound from each speaker to reach the listener at the same time.
Press b / B to adjust the Distance of the selected speaker.
Test
Press b / B to test the signals of each speaker. Adjust the volume to match the volume of test signals memorized in the system.

Speaker System Connection
Connect the speaker wires the speaker terminals. To obtain the best possible surround sound, adjust the speaker parameters (volume, distance, etc.).
Notes:
Be sure to match the speaker wires to the appropriate terminal on the components, + to + and – to –. If the cables are reversed, the sound will be distorted and will lack bass.
If you use front speakers with low maximum input rating, adjust the volume carefully to avoid excessive output on the speakers.
Be careful of the following

” may appear on your TV display during operation and indicates that the function explained in this owner’s
manual is not available on that specific DVD video disc.

A section whose title has one of the following symbols is applicable only to the disc represented by the symbol.

Types of Playable Discs
In addition, this unit can play a DVD-RW, DVD+RW, CD-G and CD-R or CD-RW that contains audio titles, MP3, WMA, JPEG or DivX files.
Notes:
Depending on the conditions of the recording equipment or the CD-R/RW (or DVD-RW, DVD+RW) disc itself, some CD-R/RW (or DVD-RW, DVD+RW) discs may not be played on the unit.
For DVD-R/RW Discs, only ones rewritten in video mode and finalized are supported on this player.
When there are a lot of data in a disc, it may take longer to be read on this player than on other model.
Do not attach any seal or label to either side (the labeled side or the recorded side) of a disc.
Do not use irregularly shaped CDs (e.g., heart-shaped or octagonal). It may result in malfunctions.
Regional Code
This unit has a regional code printed on the rear of the unit. This unit can play only DVD discs labelled as the same as the rear of the unit or “ALL”.
Notes on Regional Codes
If you try to play a DVD with a different regional code from your player, the message “Check Regional Code” appears on the TV screen.

TV Connection
Make one of the following connections, depending on the capabilities of your existing equipment.
Tips:
Depending on your TV and other equipment you wish to connect, there are various ways you could connect the DVD/CD Receiver
. Use one of the connections described
below.
Please refer to the manuals of your TV, VCR, Stereo System or other devices as necessary to make the best connections.
Caution:
Make sure the DVD/CD Receiver is connected directly to the TV. Select the correct AV input on your TV.
Do not connect your
DVD/CD Receiver
to the TV via your VCR. The DVD image could be distorted by the copy protection system.
SCART connection
Connect the EURO AV OUTPUT (TO TV) socket on the DVD/CD Receiver to the corresponding jacks on the TV using the scart cable (T).
Component Video connection
Connect the COMPONENT VIDEO OUT jacks from the DVD/CD Receiver to the corresponding jacks on the TV using a Y PB PR cable (C).
If your television is a high-definition or “digital ready” television, you may take advantage of the DVD/CD Receiver’s progressive scan output for higher video resolution.
If your TV does not accept your resolution setting, abnormal picture appears on the screen. Please read owner’s manual for TV then set the resolution that your TV can accept.
Composit Video connection
Connect the MONITOR jack from the DVD/CD Receiver to the Video IN jack on the TV using the video cable supplied (V).
Antenna Connection
Connect the supplied FM antenna for listening to the radio.
Connect the FM Wire aerial to the FM aerial connector.
Notes:
Be sure to fully extend the FM wire aerial.
After connecting the FM Wire aerial, keep it as horizontal as possible.
Speaker System Connection
Connect the speaker wires the speaker terminals. To obtain the best possible surround sound, adjust the speaker parameters (volume, distance, etc.).

Optional Equipment Connection
Connect a VCR to the AUX IN connectors.
Installation
Do not touch the inner pins of the jacks on the rear panel. Electrostatic discharge may cause permanent damage to the unit.

technology with stereo sources, optimized for stereo speakers. Listeners may experience amazing virtual surround effects with their own multimedia players.
Multichannel sound The Multichannel sound changes the
sound in 5.1 ch into a virtual one in the 10.1 ch so that it provides such a feeling that you listen to the sound simultaneously from the right and left speakers and center speaker.
8. TUNING(-/+)/SKIP/SCAN(../>>)
For manual tuning, press TUNING (-/+) repeatedly. For automatic tuning, press and hold TUNING (-/+) for about two seconds on the front panel.

10. USB Port Connect the USB port of a USB Memory
(or MP3 player, etc.) to the USB port on the front of the unit.
Removing the USB Device from the unit
1. Choose a different function mode or press STOP (x) twice in
a row.
2. Remove the USB device from the unit.

When you connect a portable music playing device to the PORT. IN jack on this device by using a ( 3.5mm)mini stereo cable (not supplied), you can here the sound being outputted from the portable device through the speaker

Don’t extract the USB device while operating.
Music files (MP3/WMA), image files (JPEG) and Video files can be played.
This unit cannot use a USB HUB.
Recommended Memory Cards. Compact Flash Card (CFC), Micro Drive (MD), Smart Media Card (SMC), Memory Stick (MS), Secure Digital Card (SD), Multimedia Card (MMC), Memory Stick Pro (MS-Pro)
- Compatible with: FAT16, FAT32
- Only use the memory cards recommended.
Devices which require additional program installation when you
have connected the unit to a computer are not supported.
In case of a USB HDD, make sure to connect an auxiliary power
cord to the USB HDD for proper operation. Up to 2 primary
partitions of a drive are supported. If there is an extension
partition, up to four partitions are supported.
If the drive of USB device is two or more, a drive folder is
displayed on the screen. If you want to move to the initial menu
after you select a folder, press RETURN.
Digital cameras and mobile phones are not supported.
Only USB 1.0/ 1.1supported.(In case USB 2.0 is inserted in to the
player,if operates at the same speed as that of USB 1.1.)
Operate using the Remote Control

MUTE Press MUTE to mute your unit. You can mute your
unit in order, for example, to answer the telephone.

You can set the DVD/CD Receiver to turn off automatically
at a specified time.
1. Press SLEEP to set the desired sleep time. The sleep time

2. Each time you press SLEEP the setting changes in the
following order.
(DIMMER ON)→SLEEP 180 →150 →120→90 80 70 6050 40 30 20 10 →(DIMMER OFF) Note: You can check the remaining time before the DVD/CD Receiver turns off. Press SLEEP. The remaining time appears in the display window.
5. RETURN Removes the setup menu.

appears on the screen. Otherwise, the disc menu may appear.

- 1.5 speed playback
You can quickly enjoy a movie and music. The 1.5 speed allows you to watch the pictures and listen to the sound quicker than playing at a normal speed on the disc.
1. Press the PLAY button during the normal playback. The screen will appear at 1.5 speed with sound .
2. To return to normal PLAY, press PLAY.

on the remote control PLAY button.

playback. Press X repeatedly to play Frame-by-Frame.

This function enable you to record music to a connected USB storage device from AUDIO CD.

1.Insert a USB device suffiicent free space to the USB port on the unit.
2.Select DVD/CD to record from by pressing FUNCTION button on the remote control. AUDIO CD - Press
v / V to select the track/file you want

“USB REC” will start flashing on the display.
- When you start the USB recording ,Recording percentage rate
will be appear on the display window during the recording .
4. File will be stored to CD_REC in a format “TRK_001.mp3”

Title (Track) –Current title (or track) number/total number of
titles (or tracks).
Chapter –Current chapter number/ total number of chapters.
Time – Elapsed playing time.
Audio – Selected audio language or channel.
Subtitle – Selected subtitle.
Angle – Selected angle/ total number of angles.
Sound – Selected sound mode.
Note: If a button is not pressed for a few seconds, the on­screen display disappears.

Initial Settings
By using the Setup menu, you can make various adjustments to items such as picture and sound. You can also set a language for the subtitles and the Setup menu, among other things. For details on each Setup menu item, see the pages 8 to 9.

To display and exit the Menu:Press SETUP to display the
menu. A second press of SETUP will take you back to initial screen.
To go to the next level: Press B on the Remote Control. To go back to the previous level:Press b on the Remote
Control.
GENERAL OPERATION
1. Press SETUP. The Setup menu appears.
2. Use v / V to select the desired option then press B to move
to the second level. The screen shows the current setting for the selected item, as well as alternate setting(s).
3. Use v / V to select the second desired option and then press B to move to the third level.
4.
Use v / V to select the desired setting then press ENTER to confirm your selection. Some items require additional steps.
5. Press SETUP or PLAY to exit the Setup menu.
LANGUAGE
Menu Language: Select a language for the Setup menu and the
on-screen display.
Disc Audio / Subtitle / Menu:
Select the language you prefer for the audio track (disc audio), subtitles, and the disc menu.
Original – Refers to the original language in which the disc was recorded. Other – To select another language, press numeric buttons and then ENTER to enter the corresponding 4-digit number according to the language code list on the page 12. If you enter the wrong language code, press CLEAR.
DISPLAY
TV Aspect 4:3 – Select when a standard 4:3 TV is connected. 16:9 – Select when a 16:9 wide TV is connected. Display Mode: The display Mode setting works only when the
TV Aspect mode is set to “4:3”. Letterbox – Displays a wide picture with bands on the upper and lower portions of the screen.
Panscan
Automatically displays the wide picture on the entire
screen and cuts off the portions that do not fit.
Progressive Scan
Progressive Scan Video provides the high quality pictures with less flickering. If you are using the Component Video jacks for connection to a TV or monitor that is compatible with a progressive scan signal, set [Progressive Scan] to [On]. Press ENTER.
- If you not press ENTER within 10 seconds it will be [OFF].
- If you have no progressive scan TV ,in the state progressive scan [on] will not appear the screen. (so then,press and hold STOP button on the remote control 5seconds. it will be change [OFF].) TV Output Select – Select an option according to the TV connection type. [YPbPr]: When your TV is connected with the COMPONENT/PROGRESSIVE SCAN jacks on the unit. [RGB]: When your TV is connected with the SCART jack.
- When connected by RGB, COMPONENT OUT not operate.
- In Progressive scan [on] state, TV Output select mode is inactivate.
AUDIO
Each DVD disc has a variety of audio output options. Set the
receiver’s AUDIO options according to the type of audio system
you use.

24. TV - Controlling the TV
Your remote control is capable of operating your DVD/CD Receiver as well as limited functions of LG TV. Follow the instructions below to operate your LG TV.
Setting Remote Control Codes for LG TV
1.Hold POWER (TV) and press CHANNEL(v/V) button
repeatedly until the TV on or off.
2..The POWER (TV), CHANNEL(v/V), VOLUME (+/-), and
INPUT buttons on remote control are used to operate the LG TV.
Note: If the remote control does not operate your particular TV,
try the other code or use the remote control originally supplied with the LG TV. (LG and Gold Star)Due to the variety of codes used by manufacturers, OUR COMPANY cannot guarantee that the remote control will operate every LG TV model.

Record AUDIO CD source to USB One track recording : If the usb recording is played during
playback of the cd, the only track would be recording into the USB.
All track recording: If the USB Rec. button is pressed at the CD stop, all track would be recording.
Program list recording: USB Records after selectig the tracks pressing the PROG./MEMO. button if you want to record the tracks you want.

Speaker selection
Select a speaker that you want to adjust. [Front speaker (Front L), Front speaker (Front R), Center Speaker (Center), Subwoofer (SubWoofer), Rear speaker (Rear L), Rear speaker (Rear R)]
Note: Certain speaker settings are prohibited by the Dolby Digital licensing agreement.
Size: Since the speaker settings are fixed, you cannot change the settings.
Volume: Press b / B to adjust the output level of the selected speaker. (-6dB ~ 6dB)
Distance: If you connected speakers to your DVD/CD Receiver, setting the Distance lets the speakers know how far the sound has to travel to reach your set listening point. This allows the sound from each speaker to reach the listener at the same time.
Press b / B to adjust the Distance of the selected speaker. Test : Press b / B to test the signals of each speaker. Adjust the
volume to match the volume of test signals memorized in the system.

DRC (Dynamic Range Control)
Make the sound clear when the volume is turned down (Dolby Digital only). Set to [On] for this effect.
Vocal
Set Vocal to [On] only when a multi-channel karaoke DVD is playing. The karaoke channels on the disc will mix into normal stereo sound.
LOCK (Parental Control)
Rating: Blocks playback of rated DVDs based on their
contents. Not all discs are rated.
1. Select “Rating” on the LOCK menu then press B.
2. To access the LOCK options, you must input the password
you have created. If you have not yet entered password, you are prompted to do so. Input a password and press ENTER. Enter it again and press ENTER to verify. If you make a mistake before pressing ENTER, press CLEAR.
3. Select a rating from 1 to 8 using the v / V buttons. Rating 1-8: Rating one (1) has the most restrictions and
rating eight (8) is the least restrictive. Unlock: If you select unlock, parental control is not active
and the disc plays in full.
4. Press ENTER to confirm your rating selection, then press
SETUP to exit the menu.
Password: You can enter or change password.

Select Password on the LOCK menu and then press B.
2. Follow the step 2 as shown above (Rating).
To change the password, press ENTER when the “Change” option is highlighted. Input a password and press ENTER. Enter it again and press ENTER to verify.
3. Press SETUP to exit the menu.
If you forget your password
If you forget your password, you can clear it using the following steps:
1. Press SETUP to display the Setup menu.
2. Input the 6-digit number “210499” and press ENTER. The password is cleared.
Area Code
Enter the code of the area whose standards were used to rate the DVD video disc, based on the list on page 12.
1. Select “Area Code” on the LOCK menu then press B.
2. Follow step 2 as shown in rating section.
3. Select the first character using v / V buttons.
4. Press B and select the second character using v / V buttons.
5. Press ENTER to confirm your Area code selection.
OTHERS
DivX(R) VOD Registration
We provide you the DivX®VOD (Video On Demand) registration code that allows you to rent and purchase videos based on the DivX®VOD service. For more information, visit www.divx.com/vod.
1. Select “DivX(R) VOD” option and then press B.
2. Press ENTER while “Select” is selected and the registration code will appear. Use the registration code to purchase or rent the videos from DivX®VOD service at www.divx.com/vod. Follow the instructions and download the video onto a disc for playback on this unit.
3. Press ENTER to exit.
Note: All the downloaded videos from DivX®VOD can only be played back on this unit.

Playing an Audio CD or MP3/WMA file
This unit can play Audio CDs or MP3/WMA files.
MP3/ WMA/ Audio CD
Once you insert a cd with MP3/WMA files or Audio, a menu appears on the TV screen. Press v / V to select a track/file and then press PLAY or ENTER, and playback starts. You can use variable playback functions. Refer to the page 6,7or 8.
ID3 TAG
When playing a file containing information such as track titles, you can see the information by pressing DISPLAY. [ Song,Title, Artist, Album, Year, Comment ]
-ID3 Tag will be operate in the MP3 file.
Tips:
Press MENU to move to the next page.
On a CD with MP3/WMA and JPEG, you can switch MP3/WMA and JPEG. Press TITLE, and MUSIC or PHOTO top of the menu is highlighted.
AUTO EQ is set for WMA/ MP3 file in the DVD/CD,USB function.
Programmed Playback
The program function enables you to store your favorite tracks from any disc in the receiver memory. A program can contain 30 tracks.
1. Insert a disc. Audio CD and MP3/WMA Discs:
2. Select a track on the “List”, and then press PROG./MEMO.“ ” icon appears on the display window and then press ENTER to place the selected track on the “Program” list. Repeat to place additional tracks on the list.
3. Select the track you want to start playing on the “Program” list. Press MENU to move to the next page.
4. Press PLAY or ENTER to start. Playback begins in the order in which you programmed the tracks. Playback stops after all of the tracks on the “Program” list have played once.
5. To resume normal playback from programmed playback, select a track of AUDIO CD (or MP3/WMA) list and then press PLAY.
Repeat Programmed Tracks
1. Press REPEAT when playing a disc. The repeat icon appears.
2. Press REPEAT to select a desired repeat mode.
• TRACK: repeats the current track
• ALL: repeats all the tracks on programmed list.
• Off(No display): does not play repeatedly.
Erasing a Track from “Program” List
1. Use vVto select the track that you wish to erase from the
Program list.
2. Press CLEAR. Repeat to erase additional tracks on the list.
Erasing the Complete Program List
Press PROG./MEMO. and then, “ ” icon will appear. Use v / V to select “ Clear All” icon and then press ENTER.
Note:
- The programs are also cleared when the disc is removed.
- During playback,AUTO skip is not supported
Viewing a JPEG file
This unit can play discs with JPEG files. Before playing JPEG recordings, read the notes on JPEG Recordings page 14.
1. Insert a disc and close the tray. The PHOTO menu appears on the TV screen.
2. Press v / V to select a folder, and then press ENTER. A list of files in the folder appears. If you are in a file list and want to return to the previous Folder list, use the v / V buttons on the Remote to highlight and press ENTER.
3. If you want to view a particular file, press v / V to highlight a file and press ENTER or PLAY. While viewing a file, you can press STOP to move to the previous menu (JPEG menu).
Tips:
There are three Slide Speed options : > (Slow), >> (Normal), >>> (Fast) .Use v /V /b /B to highlight the Speed. Then, use b / B to select the option you want to use and then press ENTER. Slide Show : Use vVbBto highlight the (Slide Show) then press ENTER.
Still Picture :
1.Press PAUSE/STEP during the slide show. The DVD/CD
Receiver will now go into the PAUSE mode.
2.To return to the slide show, press PLAY or press PAUSE/STEP
again.
Playing an Audio CD or MP3/WMA/JPEG/ DivX file
You can preset 50 stations for FM Before tuning, make sure that you have turned down the volume.
1. Press FUNCTION on the Remote Control until FM appears
in the display window.
2. Press and hold TUN.(-/+) for about two seconds until the frequency indication starts to change, then release. Scanning stops when the DVD/CD Receiver tunes in a station.
3. Press PROG./MEMO. on the Remote Control. A preset number will flash in the display window.
4. Press PRESET +/- on the Remote Control to select the preset number you want.
5. Press PROG./MEMO. on the Remote Control again. The station is stored.
6. Repeat steps 3 to 6 to store other stations.
To tune in a station with a weak signal
Press TUN.(-/+) repeatedly in step 3 to tune in the station manually.
To clear all the stored stations
Press and hold PROG./MEMO. for about two seconds and “ ERASE ALL” appears in the display window and then press PROG./MEMO. again, the stations are cleared.
If you have accidentally entered into the "ERASE ALL" mode and you do not wish to clear the memory, do not press any key. After a few seconds, the "ERASE ALL" will go off by itself and change to normal mode.
Note:If all stations have already been entered, the FULL message will appear in the display window for a moment and then a preset number will flash. To change the preset number, follow steps 5-6 as above.

Listening to the music during slide show :
You can listen to music during slide show, if the disc contain music and photo files together. Use v /V /b /B to highlight icon then press ENTER to start slide show.
You can not adjust sound mode and VIRTUAL sound [VSM]during the Music PHOTO ALBUM playing.
Moving to another File
Press SKIP (. or >) once during viewing a picture to advance to the next or previous file.
Rotating the picture
Press v /V during showing a picture to rotate the picture clockwise or counter-clockwise.
Playing a DivX Movie file
You can play DivX file in USB device and DivX disc. in the DVD/CD Receiver
1. Insert a disc and close the tray. The MOVIE menu appears on the TV screen.
2. Press v / V to select a folder and then press ENTER. A list of files in the folder appears. If you are in a file list and want to return to the Folder list, use the v / V buttons on the remote to highlight and press ENTER.
3. If you want to view a particular file, press v / V to highlight a file and press ENTER or PLAY.
4. Press STOP to exit.
Tips:
Press MENU to move to the next page.
On a CD with MP3/WMA, JPEG and MOVIE file, you can switch MUSIC, PHOTO and MOVIE menu. Press TITLE and MUSIC, PHOTO and MOVIE word on top of the menu is highlighted.
Notes:
Be sure to select “SUBTITLE ON” mode by pressing the subtitle file every time before playing a DivX file .
When the subtile has more than two languages in the file, original subtile is only available.
You can not adjust sound mode and VIRTUAL sound [VSM]during the DivX file playing.
Notice for displaying the Divx subtitle
If the subtitle does not display properly during playback, press and hold S-TITLE for about 3 seconds then press S-TITLE to select another language code until the subtitle is displayed properly
Additional features
Time Search
To start playing at any chosen time on the disc:
1.Press DISPLAY during playback.
2.Press v / V to select the time clock icon and
“--:--:--” appears.
3.Input the required start time in hours, minutes, and seconds from left to right. If you enter the wrong numbers, press CLEAR to remove the numbers you entered. Then input the correct numbers.
4.Press ENTER to confirm. Playback starts from the selected time.
Screen Saver The screen saver appears when you leave the unit in Stop mode for about five minutes.
Last Scene Memory
This receiver memorizes the last scene from the last disc that is viewed. The last scene remains in the memory even if you remove the disc from the receiver or switch off the receiver.
If you load a disc that has the scene memorized, the scene is automatically recalled.
Note: This receiver does not memorize the scene of a disc if you switch off the receiver before commencing to play the disc.
System Select
You must select an appropriate system mode for your TV system. If NO DISC appears in the display window, press and hold PAUSE/STEP on theremote control for more than 5 seconds to be able to select a system (PAL, NTSC or AUTO).
When the selected system is not compatible with the system of your TV, normal colour picture may not be displayed.
NTSC: Select when DVD/CD Receiver is connected with NTSC-
TV.
PAL: Select when DVD/CD Receiver is connected with PAL-
TV.
AUTO: Select when DVD/CD Receiver is connected with Multi
system TV.

This unit is equipped with RDS (Radio Data System), which brings a wide range of information to FM radio. RDS, now being used in many countries, is a system for transmitting station call signs.
RDS TUNING
When a FM station is tuned in and it contains RDS data, the unit will automatically display the station call signs.
1. Press FUNCTION to select the FM mode.
2. Select a desired station by pressing TUN.(-/+). When the RDS transmission is received, the display shows the program serive name (PS).
3. Press RDS to recall the frequency.
RDS DISPLAY OPTIONS
The RDS system is capable of transmitting a wide variety of information in addition to the initial call sign that appears when a station is first tuned. In normal RDS operation the display will indicate the station name, broadcast network or call letters. Pressing RDS on the remote control enables you to cycle through the various data types in the sequence:
(PS →FREQUENCY→PTY→RT →CT)
Note:
Some RDS stations may not choose to include some of these additional features. If the data required for the selected mode is not being transmitted, the Display Window will show a PS
NONE,RT NONE,CT NONE, or PTY NONE message.
Programme Search (PTY)
You may search for a specific Programme Type (PTY) by following these steps:
1. Press FUNCTION to select the FM mode on the remote control.
2. Press PTY on the remote control, the display will show the last PTY in use.
3. Press PTY repeatedly to select a desired PTY.
4. When the PTY is selected, press TUN.(-/+).The unit will go into an automatic search mode.When a station is tuned, the search will stop.

Troubleshooting
Check the following guide for the possible cause of a problem before contacting service.
Symptom
No power.
The power is on, but the DVD/CD Receiver does not work.
No picture.
There is no sound or only a very low-level sound is heard.
The playback picture is poor.
The DVD/CD Receiver does not start playback.
Loud hum or noise is heard.
Radio stations cannot be tuned in.
The remote control does not work properly.
The front panel display is too dim.
Cause
• The power cord is disconnected.
• No disc is inserted.
• The TV is not set to receive DVD signal output.
• The video cable is not connected securely.
• The connected TV power is turned off.
• The equipment connected with the audio cable is not set to receive DVD signal output.
• The audio cables are not connected securely.
• The power of the equipment connected with the audio cable is turned off.
• The audio connecting cable is damaged.
• The disc is dirty.
• No disc is inserted.
• An unplayable disc is inserted.

• There is an obstacle in the path of the remote control and the DVD/CD Receiver.
• The batteries in the remote control are flat.
• Nothing is displayed on the front panel display.
Correction
• Plug the power cord securely into the wall outlet.
• Insert a disc. (Check that the DVD or, audio CD indicator in the DVD display is lit.)
• Select the appropriate video input mode on the TV so the picture from the DVD/CD Receiver appears on the TV screen.
• Connect the video cable into the jacks securely.
• Turn on the TV.
• Select the correct input mode of the audio receiver so you can hear the sound from the DVD/CD Receiver.
• Connect the audio cable into the jacks securely.
• Turn on the equipment connected with the audio cable.
• Replace it with new one.
• Clean the disc.
• Insert a disc. (Check that the DVD, or audio CD indicator in the DVD display is lit.)
• Insert a playable disc. (Check the disc type, colour system and Regional code.)
• Place the disc with the playback side down.
• Place the disc on the disc tray correctly inside the guide.
• Clean the disc.
• Press the SETUP button to turn off the menu screen.
• Cancel the Rating function or change the rating level.
• Clean the disc.
• Connect the speakers and components securely.
• Move your TV away from the audio components.
• Connect the antenna securely.
• Adjust the antennas and connect an external antenna if necessary.
• Tune in the station manually.
• Preset the stations (page 10).
• Point the remote control at the remote sensor of the DVD/CD Receiver.
• Use the remote control within about 23 ft (7 m).
• Remove the obstacle.
• Replace the batteries with new ones.
• Press SLEEP(Dimmer) on the remote control.

• Some discs may not operate due to a different recording format or the condition of disc.

Note:- When you stop recording during playback ,the file that has been recorded at that time will be stored.
