Adjust the settings
You can change the settings of the player in the [SETUP] menu.

Select and set the language you prefer.
[DISPLAY] Menu
Progressive Scan
Check whether your TV can accept the progressive signal. If your TV accepts it, you can enjoy accurate color with high quality by selecting [On].
If there is any error after setting to Progress Scan, you have to initialize the unit by pressing and holding STOP for ve seconds.
[AUDIO] Menu
Set the player’s Audio options according to various disc output type you use.
Dolby Digital / DTS / MPEG
Select the type of digital audio signal to use the DIGITAL AUDIO OUT jack.
[Bitstream]: Select to connect DIGITAL AUDIO OUT jack to an amplier with Dolby Digital, DTS or MPEG decoder.
[PCM] (for Dolby Digital / MPEG): Select to connect DIGITAL AUDIO OUT jack to an amplier without Dolby Digital or MPEG decoder.
[O] (for DTS): Select to connect DIGITAL AUDIO OUT jack to an amplier without DTS decoder.
TV Aspect
Select and set TV aspect ratio according to your TV type and preference.
[4:3]: Standard TV type
[16:9]: Wide TV type
Display Mode
Select and set Display Mode according to your preference. Display Mode works only when the TV Aspect mode is 4:3.
[Panscan]: Display full screen with cut non­main scene on TV.
[Letterbox]: Display wide screen with black stripe at top and bottom on TV.
Sample Freq. (Frequency)
Selects the sampling frequency of the audio signal between [48KHz] and [96KHz].

DRC (Dynamic Range Control)
To adjust the volume level by itself when Audio level reaches to more than the specic level (Dolby
Digital only).
Vocal (DVX640/DVX642 only)
To mix the vocal with music using the multi­channel karaoke DVD.
[LOCK] Menu
Move to [Area Code] by pressing d. Press ENTER after input the 4-digit password. Input the same 4-digit with password again to verify and press ENTER. The Rating and Password menu will be activated.
Rating
Input the 4-digit password and press ENTER. Select the level from 1(Kids) to 8 (Adult).
Change Password
Input the former 4-digit password. Input the new 4-digit password and input it again to verify.
If you forget the password
Remove the disc. Input “210499” on Setup menu and press ENTER. The password will be cleared.
Area Code
To input the standardized area code refer to the Area Code List on page 18.
[OTHERS] Menu
B.L.E (Black Level Expansion)
Select [On] or [O ] to expand the black level or not.
It just operates when TV system is set to NTSC.
REC Bitrate
(DVX642/DVX647K only)
To select bitrate when you record from Audio CD to USB directly. Higher bitrate gives better sound quality. For detailed recording method, see page 16.
Score (DVX642/DVX647K only)
The score can be displayed after singing a song with microphone. Select [On] in Score to use this function. The score is displayed only when a chapter, title or track is fully nished. Fanfare sounds with the high score.
DivX VOD
ABOUT DIVX VIDEO: DivX® is a digital video format created by DivX, Inc. This is an ò cial DivX Certied® device that plays DivX video. Visit divx.com for more information and software tools to convert your les into DivX video.
ABOUT DIVX VIDEO-ON-DEMAND: This DivX Certied® device must be registered in order to play purchased DivX Video-on-Demand (VOD) movies. To obtain your registration code, locate the DivX VOD section in your device setup menu. Go to vod.divx. com for more information on how to complete your registration.
[Register]: Displays the registration code of your unit.
[Deregister]: Deactivate your unit and display the deactivation code.
