The following laser notice labels may be affixed to this printer.

Laser no tice

The printer is certified in the U .S. to conform to the requirements of DHHS 21 CFR Subchapter J for Class I (1) laser product s, and elsewhere is certified as a Class I laser product conforming to the req uir em ents of IEC 60825-1.

Class I laser products are not considered to be hazardous. The printer con tai ns internally a Class IIIb (3b) laser that is nominally a 10 milliwatt diode laser using an aluminum galliu m indium phosphide structure laser operating in the wavelength region of 645-670 nanometers. The l aser system and printer are des igned so there is never any human access to l aser radiation above a Class I level during normal oper ation, user maintenance, or prescribed service condi tion.

Laserprodukte der Klasse I gelten als unschädlich. Im Inneren des Druckers befindet sich ein Laser der Klasse IIIb (3b), bei dem es sich um einen Galliumarsenlaser mit 5 Milliwatt handelt, der Wellen der Länge 770-795 Nanometer ausstrahlt. Das Lasersystem und der Drucker sind so konzipiert, daß im Normalbetrieb, bei der Wartung durch den Benutzer oder bei ordnungsgemäßer Wartung durch den Kundendienst Laserbestrahlung, die Klasse I überstei gen würde, Menschen keinesfalls erreicht.

1. General information

The Lexmark ™ C792 ( 5062-xxx) is a network-capable color printer that uses electrophotographic technology to deliver high-quality images, presentation graphics, line art, and text. It prints both four-color and monochrome print jobs.

The C792 represents the latest in Lexmark printer innovation, including a full-color eTask touch screen with improved messaging and animation, enhanced security features, remote operator panel access and control, customizable reports, and access t o the growing list of downloadable and customizable solutions.

A variety of con nectivity optio ns enable the printer to b e used in all types of system environments. You can attach one internal adapter to support network configurations requiring Ethernet, Token-Ring, Loc alTalk, serial, infrared, or additional parallel ports.

The printer also has flexible paper handling. It supports a wide variety of paper sizes, and has a standard multipurpose feeder that makes it easy to print on envelopes, transparencies, labels, card stock, and nonstandard siz e paper. You can add option al i nputs to the base printer, which can increase the printer paper capacity to 3750 sheets.

Use the informati on to troubleshoot print quality, paper jams, user status messages, error codes, or gener al symptoms, and then follow the instructions to repair the printer. After you complete the repair, perform tests as needed to verify the repai r.
