INSTRUCTIONS RELATIVES A LA SECURITE

LIRE LES INSTRUCTIONS SUIVANTES AVANT TOUTE UTILISATION DE L’APPAREIL.

Lisez attentivement et suivez ces instructions an d’utiliser au mieux toutes les fonctions qu’offre cet

appareil. Merci de noter qu’il s’agit de précautions générales qui peuvent ne pas s’appliquer à votre unité.

1. Lisez ces instructions.

2. Conservez ces instructions.

3. Suivez toutes les instructions.

4. Prenez en compte les avertissements.

5. N’utilisez pas cet appareil près de l’eau.

6. Nettoyez-le seulement avec un chiffon doux.

7. Ne bloquez aucune ouverture de ventilation. Procédez à l’installation selon les instructions.

8. N’installez pas cet appareil près de sources de chaleur telles que plinthes électriques, cuisinières, ou autres (même les amplicateurs).

9. Ne tentez pas d’outrepasser la mesure de sécurité de la che polarisée ou de la prise de terre. Une che polarisée possède deux broches, dont l’une est plus large que l’autre. Une che avec une prise de terre possède deux broches plates et une troisième broche ronde pour la prise de terre. La broche plus large et la troisième broche constituent des mesures de sécurité importantes visant à vous protéger. Si vous ne parvenez pas à insérer complètement la prise dans la prise électrique murale, contactez votre électricien pour remplacer la prise murale obsolète.

10. Le câble d’alimentation doit être mis en place de sorte qu’on ne marche pas dessus ou qu’il soit écrasé particulièrement à l’endroit de la prise, à l’endroit où il est branché et à l’endroit d’où il sort

de l’appareil.

11. Utilisez uniquement les pièces détachées/accessoires spéciés par le fabricant.

12. Débranchez cet appareil durant les orages ou lorsqu’il n’est pas utilisé durant une longue période.

13. Référez-vous à un personnel qualié pour toute réparation. Une réparation sera nécessaire si l’appareil était endommagé d’une manière ou d’une autre, si le câble d’alimentation ou la prise

était endommagé(e), si un liquide s’est déversé ou si des objets sont tombés dans l’appareil, si

l’appareil a été exposé à la pluie ou à l’humidité, ou s’il a subi une chute.

14. Cet appareil ne doit pas être exposé à des gouttes d’eau ou à des éclaboussures et aucun objet rempli de liquide, tel un vase, ne doit être placé sur l’appareil.

15. Ne surchargez pas la prise électrique. Utilisez uniquement la source d’alimentation comme

indiqué.

16. Utilisez les pièces de rechange spéciées par le fabricant.

17. Vous ne pouvez installer le produit au mur que si cela est recommandé par le fabricant. Suivez les

méthodes indiquées dans le guide d’utilisation.

DEBALLAGE DE L’APPAREIL

Lors du déballage, assurez-vous que les pièces suivantes soient incluses :

Maniement des disques

• Faites attention à ne manier les disques qu’en les prenant par leurs côtés. Pour garder le disque

propre, ne touchez pas la surface du disque.

• N’écrivez rien sur l’étiquette avec un crayon bille ou tout autre ustensile d’écriture.

• Si la surface du disque est salie, essuyez la doucement avec un chiffon souple. N’utilisez pas de

produits nettoyants, essence, dissolvant, liquides de prévention antistatique ou tout autre solvant. Si nécessaire, utilisez un kit de nettoyage pour CD.

ALIMENTATION

Le CD Boombox Spider-Man fonctionne avec une source électrique CA 230V – 50Hz ou avec 8 piles de type C (non incluses).

Connexion à l’alimentation

1. Assurez-vous que l’appareil soit éteint.

2. Insérez une extrémité du câble CA à la prise d’entrée CA située à l’arrière de l’appareil.

3. Branchez l’autre extrémité du câble CA à une prise électrique murale CA 230V – 50Hz.

Mise en place des piles

1. Ouvrez le compartiment des piles situé à l’arrière du CD Boombox en pressant sur les onglets et en

soulevant le couvercle.

2. Insérez 8 piles de type C (non incluses) en respectant la polarité indiquée au fond du compartiment

et comme indiqué sur le schéma ci-dessous.

3. Fermez le compartiment des piles.

Note: Le câble CA doit être déconnecté de la prise CA située à l’arrière de l’appareil an que le produit

puisse fonctionner avec des piles.

ATTENTION : si le produit présente un mauvais fonctionnement ou subit des décharges

électrostatiques, enlevez puis remettez les piles.

Ne pas recharger les piles non rechargeables. Retirer les accumulateurs du jeu avant de les recharger. Ne charger les accumulateurs que sous la surveillance d’un adulte. Ne pas

mélanger différents types de piles ou accumulateurs, ou des piles et accumulateurs neufs et usagés. Les piles et accumulateurs doivent être mis en place en respectant la polarité. Les piles et accumulateurs usagés doivent être enlevés du jouet. Les bornes d’une pile ou d’un accumulateur ne doivent pas être mises en court-circuit. Ne pas jeter les piles au feu. Retirer les

piles en cas de non utilisation prolongée. Ce jeu doit être alimenté avec les piles spéciées

seulement.

• Les disques sales, rayés ou déformés peuvent provoquer des sauts de lecture ou des bruits.

• Essuyez-les en un mouvement droit, de l’intérieur vers l’extérieur de la surface du disque. N’essuyez jamais les disques par mouvements circulaires.

• Cet appareil est conçu pour lire uniquement les disques compacts portant le logo d’identication

ci-dessous. Des disques non conformes au standard de Disque Compact peuvent ne pas être lus correctement.

• Ranger le disque dans sa pochette après son utilisation pour éviter des rayures sérieuses qui

pourraient provoquer des sauts de lecture du lecteur laser.

• N’exposez pas les disques à la lumière directe du soleil, à une forte humidité, ou à des températures

élevées durant des périodes prolongées.

• Une exposition prolongée à de fortes températures peut déformer le disque.

• Ne collez pas de papier et n’écrivez sur aucun côté du disque. Des stylos pointus pour écrire ou des encres utilisées dans certains feutres peuvent endommager les surfaces du disque.

Nettoyage de l’appareil

• Pour éviter tout incendie ou électrocution, débranchez l’appareil de l’alimentation en courant CA

quand vous le nettoyez.

• Nettoyez l’appareil en l’essuyant avec un chiffon à poussière comme pour un meuble. Nettoyez et

essuyez les parties en plastique avec précaution.

• Il est conseillé d’utiliser un savon doux et un chiffon humide pour nettoyer la partie frontale.

UTILISATION DES ECOUTEURS

Branchez des écouteurs (non fournis), équipés d’une prise de 3,5 mm de diamètre, à la prise des écouteurs située à l’arrière de l’appareil. Après avoir branché les écouteurs, les haut-parleurs seront

automatiquement désactivés. ATTENTION : Baissez toujours le niveau du volume avant de mettre vos écouteurs. Autrement votre audition pourrait être endommagée.

UTILISATION DE LA RADIO

1. Faites glisser le sélecteur de fonction sur la position RADIO pour mettre l’appareil en marche.

2. Faites glisser le sélecteur de bandes sur AM, FM ST (stéréo) ou FM Mono pour choisir la bande

radio désirée.

3. Réglez le bouton de réglage des stations radio pour sélectionner la station de radio.

4. Réglez le contrôle du volume pour obtenir le niveau sonore désiré.

5. Pour éteindre la radio, faites glisser le sélecteur de fonction sur la position POWER OFF (éteint).

Conseils pour obtenir une bonne réception radio :

Pour assurer une sensibilité maximale du tuner FM, l’antenne FM doit être entièrement étirée pour obtenir la meilleure réception possible. Evitez de placer l’antenne trop près des haut-parleurs et de

tout autre appareil électrique. Lors d’une réception FM stéréo, l’indicateur FM stéréo restera allumé

lorsqu’une station stéréo est reçue. Pour obtenir la meilleure sensibilité d’une réception AM, essayez

de repositionner l’appareil jusqu’à ce que la meilleure réception soit obtenue.

UTILISATION DU LECTEUR CD

Lire un CD

1. Pour lire un disque audio, ouvrez le compartiment CD puis placez soigneusement un CD audio

avec la face imprimée orientée vers le haut.

2. Fermez le compartiment CD et faites glisser le sélecteur de fonction sur la position CD pour mettre

l’appareil en marche. Le nombre total de plages sur le CD apparaîtra sur l’afchage LCD.

3. Appuyez sur le bouton de LECTURE/PAUSE . L’indicateur de lecture s’allumera et le CD

commencera la lecture à partir de la première plage.

4. Réglez le contrôle du volume pour sélectionner le niveau sonore.

5. Pour arrêter momentanément la lecture, appuyez de nouveau sur le bouton de LECTURE/PAUSE . Le numéro de la plage clignotera et l’indicateur de lecture s’éteindra. Pour reprendre la lecture, appuyez de nouveau sur le bouton de LECTURE/PAUSE .

6. Pour arrêter la lecture, appuyez sur le bouton STOP .

Bouton Saut avant / Bouton Saut arrière

1. Quand le CD est arrêté, pour lire directement votre plage préférée, appuyez sur le bouton saut

avant ou sur le bouton saut arrière pour trouver la plage désirée et appuyez sur le bouton

LECTURE / PAUSE .

2. Lors de l’écoute d’un CD, appuyez sur le bouton saut avant pour jouer la plage suivante ou sur

le bouton saut arrière pour jouer la plage précédente.

3. Pour localiser un passage particulier au sein d’une plage, maintenez le bouton saut avant ou

le bouton saut arrière appuyé jusqu’à ce que vous le trouviez. Relâchez le bouton pour revenir

à une lecture normale.

Note:

• Si un disque est mal placé, sale ou endommagé, il ne pourra pas être lu par le lecteur.

• Le numéro de chaque plage joué est afché sur l’écran LCD.

• Pour éviter de rayer le disque, n’ouvrez jamais le compartiment CD pendant que le disque tourne.

Attendez l’arrêt complet du disque avant d’ouvrir le compartiment CD. Ne touchez pas la lentille quand

le compartiment CD est ouvert.

• N’utilisez pas la poignée de transport lors de l’écoute d’un CD. Le lecteur CD ne doit être utilisé que sur une surface stable.

Répétition

1. Pour répéter une plage spécique, appuyez une fois sur le bouton de répétition pendant la lecture

d’un disque. L’indicateur de répétition clignotera.

2. Pour répéter le CD en entier, appuyez deux fois sur le bouton de répétition pendant la lecture d’un

disque. L’indicateur de répétition s’allumera en restant xe.

3. Pour annuler la fonction répétition, appuyez plusieurs fois sur le bouton de répétition jusqu’à ce que l’indicateur de répétition s’éteigne.

PROGRAMMATION DE LECTURE CD

Cette fonction permet de mettre des plages en lecture dans un ordre programmé.

1. Faites glisser le sélecteur de fonction sur la position CD.

2. En mode d’arrêt, appuyez une fois sur le bouton Programme. Le numéro “01” clignotera sur l’afchage.

3. Appuyez sur les boutons saut avant ou saut arrière pour sélectionner la première plage à

inclure dans la programmation.

4. Appuyez de nouveau sur le bouton Programme pour conrmer et stocker la plage.

5. Répétez les étapes 3 et 4 pour programmer les autres plages à inclure dans la séquence.

6. Appuyez sur le bouton pour commencer la lecture. Les plages seront lues dans l’ordre programmé.

Note:

• Pour annuler la fonction programme, appuyez deux fois sur le bouton STOP pendant la lecture.

• Pendant la programmation, appuyez sur le bouton STOP ou ouvrez le compartiment CD pour annuler la fonction.

FONCTIONNEMENT DE LA PRISE D’ENTRÉE AUX

Vous pouvez mettre de la musique en lecture par les haut-parleurs de ce CD Boombox en connectant

sa prise AUX IN à votre lecteur MP3 ou à tout autre lecteur audio digital.

1. Branchez une extrémité d’un câble audio (non inclus) à la prise AUX IN situé à l’arrière de l’unité et

l’autre extrémité du câble à la prise de sortie de votre lecteur audio digital.

2. Faites glisser le sélecteur de fonction sur la position AUX IN.

3. Réglez le contrôle du volume selon le niveau d’écoute désiré.

FONCTIONNEMENT DE LA SORTIE LINE

1. Faites glisser le sélecteur de fonction sur la position CD.

2. Branchez un câble de connexion (non inclus) à la prise LINE OUT situé à l’arrière de l’appareil pour le connecter à des amplicateurs.

CONNEXION DU MICROPHONE

Pour utiliser un microphone:

1. Branchez le microphone (non inclus) à la prise microphone située à l’arrière de l’appareil.

2. Vous pouvez maintenant utiliser le micro pour chanter sur vos morceaux favoris.

Note: Pour éviter un effet Larsen, n’utilisez pas le micro trop près des haut-parleurs ou réduisez le

volume jusqu’à ce que le bruit disparaisse.

Servicing is required when the apparatus has been damaged in any way, such as power-supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture does not operate normally, or has been dropped.

14. This product should be operated only from the type of power source indicated on the marking label. If you are not sure of the type of power supply to your home, consult your appliance dealer or local power company. For products intended to operate from battery power, or other sources, refer to the operating instructions.

15. Do not overload wall outlets and extension cords as this can result in a risk of re or electric shock.

16. Never push objects of any kind into this product through openings as they may touch dangerous voltage points or short out parts that could result in re or electric shock. Never spill or spray any type of liquid on the product.

18. Upon completion of any service or repairs to this product, ask the service technician to perform safety checks to determine that the product is in proper operating condition.

Caring for discs

• Treat the disc carefully. Handle the disc only by its edges. Never allow your ngers to come in contact with the shiny, unprinted side of the disc.

• Do not attach adhesive tape, stickers, etc. to the disc label.

• Clean the disc periodically with a soft, lint-free, dry cloth. Never use detergents or abrasive cleaners to clean the disc. If necessary, use a CD cleaning kit.

• If a disc skips or gets stuck on a section of the disc, it is probably dirty or damaged (scratched).

POWER SOURCES

The Spider-Man CD Boombox operates on AC 230V – 50Hz or with 8 x C size batteries (not

included).

AC operation

1. Check that the unit is switched off.

2. Insert the small end of the AC cord into the AC socket at the back of the unit.

3. Plug the other end of the AC cord into any convenient AC 230V – 50Hz power outlet.

Battery installation

1. To install the batteries, open the battery compartment located at the back of the unit by pressing in on the tabs, then lifting it off.

2. Insert 8 x C size batteries (not included) observing the polarity indicated in the compartment, and as per the diagram shown below.

3. Close the battery compartment.

Note: The AC power cord must be disconnected from the AC socket on the rear of the unit in order for the product to operate on battery power.

WARNING: If the unit malfunctions or receives an electrostatic shock, turn the unit off and on again. If this proves to be ineffective, remove the batteries and insert them again.

Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged. Rechargeable batteries are to be removed from the toy before being charged. Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision. Different types of batteries or new and used batteries are not to be mixed. Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended are to be used. Batteries are to be inserted with the correct polarity. Exhausted batteries are to be removed from the toy. The supply terminals are not to be short circuited. Do not throw batteries into a re. Remove the batteries if you are not going to use the game for a long period of time.

• When cleaning the disc, wipe in straight lines from the centre of the disc to the outer edge of the disc. Never wipe in circular motions.

• This unit is designed to play only compact discs bearing the identication logo as shown here. Other discs may not conform to the CD standard and may not play properly.

• Discs should be stored in their cases after each use to avoid damage.

• Do not expose discs to direct sunlight, high temperatures or dust, etc.

• Prolonged exposure or extreme temperatures can warp the disc.

• Do not stick or write anything on either side of the disc. Sharp writing instruments, or ink, may damage the surface.

Cleaning the unit

• To prevent re or shock hazard, disconnect your unit from the AC power source when cleaning.

• The nish on your unit may be cleaned with a dust cloth and cared for as other furniture. Use caution when cleaning and wiping the plastic parts.

• Mild soap and a damp cloth may be used on the front panel.

HEADPHONES CONNECTION

Plug any normal headphones (not included) with a 3.5mm jack plug into the headphones jack located at the back of the unit. When the headphones are in use, the speakers are turned off. CAUTION: Too high volume, especially when using headphones, can damage your hearing. For this reason, please turn the volume down before connecting the headphones.

RADIO OPERATION

1. Slide the function selector to the radio position to turn the unit on.

2. Slide the band selector to select AM, FM ST (stereo) or FM Mono for the desired radio band.

3. Use the tuning control to select the desired radio station.

4. Adjust the volume control.

5. To switch off the radio, slide the function selector to the POWER OFF position.

Note: To ensure maximum FM tuner sensitivity, the FM wire antenna should be fully extended to obtain the best possible reception. Avoid close proximity to the speakers and other electrical appliance. For FM stereo reception, the FM stereo indicator will light steadily when a stereo program is being received. When tuning in AM reception, to ensure best AM sensitivity, try repositioning the unit until the best reception is obtained.

CD OPERATION

Play a CD

1. To play a CD, pull open the CD door, and carefully place a disc on the centre spindle with the

printed label side facing up.

2. Close the CD door and slide the function selection button to the CD position to turn the unit on. The LED display will show the total number of tracks on the disc.

3. Press the PLAY/PAUSE button . The PLAY indicator will light and the CD will start playing from the rst track.

4. Adjust the volume control to set the sound level.

5. To suspend playing, press the PLAY/PAUSE button again. The track number will ash and the PLAY indicator will go off. To resume playing, press the PLAY/PAUSE button once again.

6. To stop playing, press the Stop button.

F.FWD button/REW button

1. When the CD is stopped, to play your favourite track directly, locate the desired track using the F.FWD or the REW buttons and press the PLAY/PAUSE button .

2. When listening to a CD, press the F.FWD button to play the next track, and press the REW button to play the previous track.

3. To search forward or backward through the playing track, press and hold the F.FWD or the REW buttons to locate a specic musical passage. The player will move forward or backward at high speed as long as the button is pressed. Stop pressing the button to return to normal playback.

Note:

• If a disc is installed incorrectly, dirty or damaged, it will not play.

• As each track is played, the track number is shown on the display.

• To prevent damage to the disc, never open the CD door while the disc is rotating. Wait for the disc to stop before opening the CD door. Never touch the lens when the CD door is open.

• Do not use the carrying handle when playing CD. The CD should only be used on a steady surface.

Repeat

1. To repeat continuously a single track, press the repeat button once while in play mode. The repeat indicator will ash.

2. To repeat all the tracks, press the repeat button twice while in play mode. The repeat indicator lights

steadily.

3. To cancel the repeat function, repeatedly press the repeat button until the repeat indication goes off.

CD PROGRAMED PLAY

Use the program function to preselect the order in which a sequence of tracks will be played.

1. Slide the function selector to the CD position.

2. Press the program button, “01” will blink on the display.

3. Use the F.FWD or REW buttons to select the rst track to include in the programmed

sequence.

4. Press the program button again to conrm and store the track.

5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 to program the other desired tracks.

6. Press to begin playback. The tracks will be played in the programmed order.

Note:

• To cancel the program function, press the stop button twice while in play mode.

• During program setting, press the stop button or open the CD door.

AUX IN OPERATION

You can play music through the speakers of this CD Boombox by connecting its AUX IN jack to your MP3 or other digital audio player.

1. Plug one end of an audio cable (not included) into the AUX IN jack located at the back of the unit, and the other end of the cable to the line out jack of the device you want to connect.

2. Slide the function selector to the AUX position.

3. Adjust volume control to your desired listening level.

LINE OUT OPERATION

1. Slide the function selector to the CD or the radio position.

2. Plug in a connection cable in the Line Out jack located at the back of the unit to connect it to other ampliers.

MICROPHONE CONNECTION

To use a microphone:

1. Connect the microphone (not included) to the microphone jack located at the back of the unit.

2. You can now use the microphone to sing your favourite tunes.

Note: To avoid feedback noise, keep the microphone away from the speaker or reduce the volume level until the noise disappear.
