Important Safety Instructions

When used in the directed manner, this unit has been designed and manufactured to ensure your personal safety. However, improper use can result in potential electrical shock or fire hazards. Please read all safety and operating instructions carefully before installation and use, and keep these instructions handy for future reference. Take special note of all warnings listed in these instructions and on the unit.

1.Water and Moisture The unit should not be used near water. For example: near a bathtub, washbowl, kitchen sink, laundry tub, swimming pool or in a set basement.

2.Heat and The unit should be situated away from heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves or other appliances (including amplifiers) that produce heat.

3.Power Source The unit should be connected to a power supply only of the type described in the operating instructions or as marked on the appliance.

4.Power Cord Protection Power supply cords should be routed so that they are not likely to be walked on or pinched by items placed upon or against them. It is always best to have a clear area from where the cord exits the unit to where it is plugged into an AC outlet.

5.Cleaning The unit should be cleaned only as recommended. See the section “Care and Maintenance” of this manual for cleaning instructions.

6.Object and Liquid Entry Care should be taken so that objects do not fall and liquids are not spilled into any openings or vents located on the product.

7.Attachments Do not use attachments that are not recommended by the product manufacturer.

8.Lightning and Power Surge Protection Unplug the unit from the wall outlet and disconnect it during these periods of time. This will prevent damage to the product due to lightning and power-line surges.

9.Overloading Do not overload wall outlets, extension cords, or integral convenience receptacles as this can result in a risk of fire of electric shock.

10.Damage Requiring Service This unit should be serviced by qualified service personnel when: A.The power supply cord or plug has been damaged. B.Objects have fallen into or liquid has been spilled into the enclosure. C.The unit has been exposed to rain. D.The unit has been dropped or the enclosure damaged. E.The unit exhibits a marked change in performance or does not operate normally.

11.Periods of Nonuse If the unit is to be left unused for an extended period of time, such as a month or longer, the power cord should be unplugged from the unit to prevent damage or corrosion.

12.Environment Attention should be drawn to the environmental aspects of the use of

apparatus in moderate climates.

13.Servicing

The user should not attempt to service the unit beyond those methods described in the user's operating instructions. Service methods not covered in the operating instructions should be referred to qualified service personnel.

- Where the mains plug or an appliance coupler is used as the disconnect device, the disconnect device shall remain readily operable.

iPod Adaptors

Five different adaptors are designed to suit any “dockable” iPod model to th e d ocking s tation. B efore c onnecting y our iP od to th e system, s elect a nd insert t he p roper a daptor f or y our i Pod model into the docking station first (refer to following iPod adaptor table).

Listening to iPod

This model includes adaptors for adopting different iPod models. If the docking port will not be used for an extended period of time, it is recommended to cover the docking port by using the “Dock Cover” insert (included).

1. Select a suitable adaptor for your iPod and insert it into the docking area. Your iPod can now be inserted into the docking port by placing the connector on the bottom of the iPod onto the connector in the docking bay. Caution: Please be careful when seating the iPod into the docking to avoid damaging the 30-pin connector on the iPod or in the docking system.

2. Press the POWER button to turn on the unit. Note: (i) No 3.5mm stereo audio plug should be plugged into the AUX IN jack, otherwise the unit will switch to AUX IN mode. (ii) Once the power is ON, it charges the iPod.

3. Press & hold the PLAY / PAUSE button from your iPod to turn it on.

4. Press the iPod PLAY/PAUSE button to start music playback.

5. Adjust the sound level by pressing the VOLUME +/- button.

Note : The volume level cannot be adjusted using the volume control on your iPod after being docked.

6. To remove the iPod from the unit, press and hold the iPod PLAY/PAUSE button for three seconds to switch off the device and then gently remove it from the docking connector.

* For the 5G (fifth generation) 30GB and 60GB iPods with video capability.

Please use the original ada ptor from your 5G iPod model at the time of

purchase. No 5G adaptor is provided from this system.

iPod playback control (from your iPod):

- Press the PLAY/PAUSE button to pause or resume the iPod playback;

- Press the Skip/Search Forward or Backward button to skip to the next or previous song;

- Press and hold the Skip/Search Forward or Backward button for fast-forwarding or fast-rewinding during playback.

Listening To An External Audio Source

Connect the audio cable

1. with 3.5 mm stereo plug to the AUX IN Jack located at rear of the unit.

2. Connect the other end of the cable to a Line Out Jack or Headphone Jack of your external audio device.

3. Turn on the external audio device.

4. The volume level can now be controlled through the main unit. Operate all other functions on the auxiliary device as usual.

Note:

(1) If you connected the Line Out Jack of your external device then you only need to adjust the volume control of this unit. If you connected the Headphone Jack of your external device then you may need to adjust both the volume control of your external device and the volume control of this unit to find the most desirable volume setting.

(2) Press the POWER button turning off the unit when you finish listening. Don't forget to switch off the power of your external device as well.

Audio Line Out

The unit provides an audio output source for the connection with an other audio device. The Stereo audio LINE OUT Jacks (L&R) located at rear of the unit.

Care and Maintenance

- Do not subject the unit to excessive force, shock, dust or extreme temperature.

- Do not tamper the internal components of the unit.

- Clean your unit with a damp (never wet) cloth. Solvent or detergent should never be used.

- Avoid leaving your unit in direct sunlight or in hot, humid or dusty places.

- Keep your unit away from heating appliances and sources of electrical noise such as fluorescent lamps or motors.

Het apparaat zou niet blootgesteld moeten worden aan druppels of spetters. Tevens zouden er geen voorwerpen op het apparaat moeten worden geplaatst die gevuld zijn met vloeistof zoals vazen.

Indien deze unit op de aangegeven manier wordt gebruikt dan is uw persoonlijke veiligheid gewaarborgd vanwege het ontwerp en de fabricage van de unit. 5.Schoonmaken De unit behoort alleen zoals wordt aangeraden te worden schoongemaakt. Zie het hoofdstuk “Zorg en Onderhoud” van deze handleiding voor schoonmaakinstructies.

6.Voorwerp en Vloeistofingang Er behoort gelet te worden op dat voorwerpen en vloeistoffen niet in de openingen of ventilatiegaatjes op het apparaat kunnen komen.

7.Toevoegingen Gebruik geen toevoegingen die niet door de fabrikant van het product worden aanbevolen.

8.Bescherming tegen Bliksem en Hoge Voedingsgolven Haal de stekker van de unit uit de wandcontactdoos en sluit de unit voor een bepaalde tijd af. Dit zal beschadiging van het apparaat die door bliksem en hoge voedingsgolven worden veroorzaakt voorkomen.

9.Overbelast Overbelast wandcontactdozen, verlengsnoeren en driewegstekkers niet omdat dit kan resulteren in brandgevaar of een elektrische schok.

10.Vereiste Service bij Beschadiging Deze unit behoort nagekeken te worden door een gekwalificeerde onderhoudsmonteur als: A.Het voedingssnoer of de stekker beschadigd is B.Voorwerpen of vloeistoffen in de behuizing zijn gekomen C.De unit bootgesteld is geweest aan regen D.De unit gevallen is of de behuizing beschadigd is E.De unit een merkbaar verschil in uitvoering vertoont of als hij niet normaal werkt

11.Periodes van geen gebruik Als de unit een lange tijd niet wordt gebruikt zoals een maand of langer dan behoort het voedingssnoer van de unit uit het stopcontact gehaald te worden om beschadiging of corrosie te voorkomen.

12.Milieu Er behoort aandacht te zijn voor de milieuaspecten door het gebruik van apparaten in matige klimaten.

13.Service De gebruiker behoort geen poging te ondernemen om service aan de unit uit te voeren behalve de handelingen die beschreven zijn in de gebruiksaanwijzingen. Servicehandelingen die niet in de gebruiksaanwijzingen staan behoren overgelaten te worden aan gekwalificeerde onderhoudsmonteurs.

Waarschuwing:

- De ventilatie mag niet belemmerd worden door de ventilatie openingen

te bedekken met objecten als kranten, tafelkleden, gordijnen etc.

- Geen open vuurbronnen zoals brandende kaarsen, mogen op het apparaat geplaatst worden.

- Het apparaat mag niet blootgesteld worden aan druppelende of spetterende vloeistoffen en objecten gevuld met water, zoals vazen, mogen niet op het apparaat geplaatst worden.

- Plaats het product niet in gesloten boekenkasten of rekken zonder geschikte ventilatie.

- Als de stekker of een apparaatkoppelaar wordt gebruikt als het uitschakelapparaat, dan moet het uitschakelapparaat goed toegankelijk zijn.

iPod Adapters

Vijf verschillende adapters zijn ontworpen om elk “dockable” iPod model op het basisstation aan te sluiten. Selecteer en voeg voor het aansluiten van uw

iPod op het systeem een juiste adapter in voor uw iPod model op het basisstation te plaatsen (zie de volgende iPod adaptertabel).

Dit model bevat adapters voor verschillende iPod modellen. Als de basispoort een lange tijd niet gebruikt zal worden is het raadzaam om de basispoort te bedekken met de “Dock Cover” (basisbedekking) (meegeleverd).

1.Selecteer een geschikte adapter voor uw iPod en steek deze in het basisgebied.

Adaptertabel :

Uw iPod kan nu in de basispoort gestoken worden het aansluitpunt aan de onderkant van de iPod op het aansluitpunt van het basisstation te plaatsen. Waarschuwing: Wees voorzichtig bij het plaatsen van de iPod op het basisstation om beschadiging van de 30-pin aansluiting van de iPod of het basisstation te vermijden.

2.Druk op de POWER knop om de unit aan te zetten. Noot: (i) Er behoort geen 3.5mm stereo audio stekker in het AUX IN contact gestoken te worden, anders zal de unit naar de AUX IN modus schakelen. (ii) Als de unit ON (aan) is, laadt de iPod.

3.Druk op de PLAY / PAUSE (speel/pauze) knop van uw iPod en houdt deze vast om deze aan te zetten.

4.Druk op de PLAY/PAUSE knop van de iPod om het afspelen van muziek te starten.

5.Regel het geluidsniveau door op de VOLUME +/- (geluidssterkte +/- ) te drukken. Noot : Het geluidssterkteniveau kan niet geregeld worden met de

geluidssterktebediening op uw iPod nadat deze op het basisstation

* Voor de 5G (5 generatie) 30GB en 60GB iPods met video capaciteit. Gebruik de originele adapter van uw 5G iPod model van de tijd van

uw aankoop. Er is geen 5G adapter met dit systeem meegeleverd.

6.Druk om de iPod van de unit te verwijderen, op de PLAY/PAUSE knop van de iPod en houd deze drie seconden ingedrukt om het apparaat uit te schakelen en verwijder het dan voorzichtig van het basisstation.

Afspeelbediening van de iPod (van uw iPod):

- Druk op de PLAY/PAUSE knop om het afspelen van de iPod te pauzeren of te vervolgen;

- Druk op de Skip/Search Forward (overslaan/voorwaarts zoeken) of op de Backward (achterwaarts) knop om het volgende of het vorige nummer over te slaan;

- Druk op de Skip/Search Forward of Backward knop en houd deze vast om tijdens het afspelen snel voorwaarts of snel achterwaarts te gaan.

Luisteren naar de iPod

Luisteren naar een Externe Audio Bron

1. Sluit de audio kabel met de 3.5 mm stereo stekker aan op het AUX IN contact aan de achterkant van de unit.

2. Sluit het andere eind van de kabel aan op een Line Out contact of koptelefooncontact van uw extern audio apparaat.

3. Zet het externe audio apparaat aan.

4. Het geluidssterkteniveau kan nu door de hoofdunit geregeld worden. Gebruik alle andere functies op het hulpapparaat als gebruikelijk.

Noot: (1) Als u het Line Out contact van uw extern apparaat gebruikt dan heeft u alleen de geluidssterktebediening van deze unit nodig om te regelen. Als u het hoofdtelefooncontact van uw extern apparaat aansluit dan mag u beide geluidssterktebedieningen gebruiken om de meest gewenste geluidssterkte instelling te vinden. (2) Druk op de POWER knop om de unit uit te zetten als u klaar bent met luisteren. Vergeet niet om ook uw extern apparaat uit te schakelen.

Audio Uitlijn

De unit heeft een audio uitvoerbron voor de aansluiting met andere audio apparaten. De Stereo audio LINE OUT contacten (L&R) zitten aan de achterkant van de unit.

Zorg en Onderhoud

- Stel de unit niet bloot aan extreem stoten, schokken, stof of temperaturen.

- Zit niet aan de interne componenten van de unit.

- Maak uw unit schoon met een vochtige (nooit nat) doek. Chemische middelen of wasmiddelen moeten nooit gebruikt worden.

- Vermijd het achterlaten van uw unit in direct zonlicht of warmte, vochtige of stoffige plaatsen.

- Houd uw unit uit de buurt van verwarmingsapparaten en bronnen van elektrisch geluid zoals TL lampen of motors.

Adaptateurs iPod

Cinq adaptateurs différents sont conçus pour adapter n'importe quel modèle d'iPod iPod “connectable» à une station d'Accueil. Avant de connecter votre iPod au système, sélectionnez et insérez l'adaptateur adéquat pour votre modèle iPod dans la station d'Accueil (se référer au tableau des adaptateurs iPod ci-dessous).

Tableaux des adaptateurs :

* Pour les iPods 5G (cinquième génération) 30GB et 60GB avec fonction vidéo. Utilisez l'adaptateur original vendu avec votre iPod 5G. Aucun adaptateur

5G n'est fourni pour ce système.

Ecoute de l'iPod

Ce modèle inclus des adaptateurs pour connecter différents modèles d'iPod. Si le dock n'est pas utilisé pendant une longue période, il est recommandé de le recouvrir avec sa protection (incluse).

1. Sélectionnez l'adaptateur qui convient à votre iPod et insérez-le dans le dock. Votre iPod peut maintenant être inséré dans le dock en insérant le connecteur situé au bas de votre iPod dans le dock. Avertissement : Faites attention lorsque vous insérez l'iPod dans le dock afin d'éviter d'endommager le connecteur 30 broches de l'iPod ou du dispositif de connexion.

2. Appuyez sur le bouton ALIMENTATION pour mettre en marche l'appareil. Remarque : (i) Dans le cas ou une prise audio stéréo de 3.5 mm est branchée dans la prise d'entrée AUX, l'appareil bascule automatiquement en mode d'entrée auxiliaire AUX IN. (ii) Une fois que l'appareil est en marche, il recharge l'iPod.

3. Appuyez et maintenez le bouton LECTURE / PAUSE de votre iPod pour le mettre en marche.

4. Appuyez sur le bouton LECTURE / PAUSE de l'iPod pour lancer la lecture.

5. Ajustez le volume en appuyant sur le bouton VOLUME +/- . Remarque : Le volume ne peut pas être ajusté via le contrôle de

volume de votre iPod une fois ce dernier amarré.

6. Pour retirer l'iPod de l'appareil, appuyez et maintenez d'abord le bouton LECTURE/PAUSE de l'iPod pendant 3 secondes afin de l'éteindre. Ensuite, retirez-le avec précaution du dock.

Contrôle de lecture de l'iPod (depuis votre iPod):

- Appuyez sur le bouton LECTURE/PAUSE afin d'interrompre ou de relancer la lecture de l'iPod.

- Appuyez sur les boutons Saut/Rechercher en avant ou en arrière afin de jouer la musique suivante ou précédente.

- Appuyez et maintenez les boutons Saut/Rechercher en avant ou en arrière afin d'avancer ou de reculer rapidement la lecture.

Ecoute d'une source audio externe

1. Connectez le câble audio avec prise stéréo de 3.5 mm à la prise d'entrée auxiliaire AUX IN située à l'arrière de l'appareil.

2. Connectez l'autre extrémité du câble à la sortie ligne ou à la sortie casque de votre dispositif audio externe.

3. Mettez en marche le dispositif audio externe.

4. Le volume peut maintenant être contrôlé à travers l'unité principale. Exploitez toutes les autres fonctions sur le dispositif auxiliaire comme indiqué.

Remarque:

(1) Si vous utilisez la sortie ligne de votre dispositif externe, alors vous aurez juste besoin d'ajuster le contrôle de volume sur l'appareil. Si vous utilisez la sortie casque de votre dispositif externe, alors vous aurez potentiellement besoin d'ajuster le contrôle de volume à la fois sur votre dispositif externe et sur votre appareil afin de trouver le niveau sonore désiré. Adaptadores para iPod

Cinco adaptadores diferentes han sido diseñados para el modelo iPod a la base Dock. Antes de conectar su iPod al sistema, seleccione e inserte el adaptador adecuado para su modelo iPod en la estación Dock primero (refiérase a la siguiente tabla de adaptadores para iPod ).

Tabla de adaptadores :

Escuchar el iPod

1. Seleccione un adaptador adecuado para su iPod e insértelo en la zona Dock. Escuchar una fuente de audio externa

1. Conecte el cable de audio con el enchufe estéreo de 3.5 mm a la entrada AUX IN localizada en la parte trasera de la unidad.

2. Conecte la otra punta del cable a la salida Line Out o salida para auriculares de su dispositivo de audio externo.

3. Encienda su dispositivo de audio externo.

4. El nivel del volumen puede controlarse a través de la unidad principal. Se podrá operar las demás funciones en el dispositivo auxiliar como de costumbre.

1.Wasser und Feuchtigkeit Das Gerät sollte nicht in der Nähe von Wasser benutzt werden. Beispiel: in der Nähe von Badewannen, Spülen, Waschbecken. Swimmingpools oder feuchten Kellerräumen.

2.Hitze und offene Flammen Installieren Sie das Gerät nicht in der Nähe von Hitzequellen, wie z. B. Heizungen, Herden oder anderen Geräten die Hitze produzieren (z. B. Verstärker) auf.

3.Stromversorgung Das Gerät sollte nur mit der in der Anleitung oder auf dem Gerät angegebenen Netzspannung betrieben werden.

4.Schutz des Netzkabels Das Netzkabel sollte so verlegt werden, dass es nicht möglich ist darauf zu treten und keine Gegenstände darauf liegen. Es ist immer sinnvoll den Bereich, an dem das Kabel aus dem Gerät austritt und den Bereich um die Steckdose herum, frei zu halten.

5.Reinigung Das Gerät sollte nur den Anweisungen entsprechend gereinigt werden. Lesen Sie dazu den Abschnitt „Pflege und Wartung“ in der Bedienungsanleitung für detaillierte Reinigungsanweisungen.

6.Gegenstände und Flüssigkeiten im Gerät Achten Sie darauf, dass keine Gegenstände oder Flüssigkeiten durch die Öffnungen in das Gehäuse gelangen.

7.Zubehör Verwenden Sie keine Aufsätze, die nicht vom Hersteller angegeben wurden.

8.Gewitter und Spannungsschwankungen Ziehen Sie den Stecker aus der Steckdose, wenn Sie das Gerät über einen längeren Zeitraum nicht benutzen. Damit wird verhindert, dass das Gerät bei Spannungsunterschieden oder Blitzeinschlägen beschädigt wird.

11.Nichtbenutzung Wenn das Gerät über einen längeren Zeitraum nicht benutzt wird (z. B. ein Monat oder länger), sollten Sie den Netzstecker des Geräts aus der Steckdose ziehen, um Schäden und Korrosion zu vermeiden.

12.Betriebsbedingungen Achten Sie bitte darauf, dass dieses Gerät für den Betrieb unter moderaten klimatischen Bedingungen gedacht ist.

iPod-Musik hören

Zu diesem Gerät mitgeliefert werden Adapter für verschiedene iPod-Modelle. Wenn der Docking-Anschluss des Geräts für längere Zeit nicht benutzt wird, wird empfohlen die ihn mit dem Docking-Verschluss (im Lieferumfang) Staubeinwirkung zu schützen.

1. Wählen Sie den geeigneten Adapter für Ihren iPod und schließen Sie ihn am Docking-Anschluss an. Die können nun Ihren iPod am Docking-Anschluss anschließen, indem Sie den Anschluss an der Unterseite des iPod auf dem Docking-Anschluss aufsetzen. Achtung: Gehen Sie bitte äußerst vorsichtig vor, wenn Sie den iPod in den Docking-Anschluss setzen, um zu vermeiden, dass der 30-Pin-Anschluss des iPods oder des Docking-Systems nicht beschädigt wird.

2. Betätigen Sie die POWER-Taste zum Anschalten des Geräts. Hinweis: (i) Schließen Sie keinen 3,5 mm Klinkenstecker am AUX IN Eingang an, da ansonsten das Gerät in den AUX-Modus geht. (ii)Sobald das Gerät eingeschaltet ist, wird Ihr iPod aufgeladen.

3. Halten Sie die WIEDERGABE/PAUSE-Taste auf Ihrem iPod gedrückt, um ihn einzuschalten.

4. Betätigen Sie dann die WIEDERGABE/PAUSE-Taste auf Ihrem iPod zum Starten der Wiedergabe.

5. Stellen Sie die Lautstärke mithilfe der VOLUME +/- Tasten ein. Hinweis: Die Lautstärke kann nicht mithilfe der Lautstärketasten

eingestellt werden, wenn ein iPod mit dem Gerät verbunden ist.

6. Wenn Sie den iPod vom Gerät herunter nehmen wollen, halten Sie die WIEDERGABE/PAUSE-Taste auf Ihrem iPod für 3 Sekunden gedrückt, um ihn auszuschalten, und nehmen Sie ihn dann vorsichtig vom Docking-Anschluss herunter.

iPod-Wiedergabesteuerung (über den iPod):

- Um die Wiedergabe vorübergehend anzuhalten, betätigen Sie die WIEDERGABE/PAUSE-Taste . Betätigen Sie die WIEDERGABE/PAUSE-Taste erneut, um mit der Wiedergabe fortzufahren.

- Benutzen Sie die Schnellsuchtasten oder , um zum nächsten bzw. vorigen Titel zu springen.

- Halten Sie die Schnellsuchtasten oder gedrückt, um den Schnellvorlauf bzw. Schnellrücklauf zu aktivieren.

Benutzung eines externen Audiosignals

1. Schließen Sie das externe Audiogerät mit einem 3,5 mm Audiokabel am AUX IN-Eingang an der Rückseite des Geräts an.

2. Schließen Sie das andere Ende des Kabels am LINE OUT-Ausgang oder Kopfhöreranschluss des externen Audiogeräts an.

3. Schalten Sie die externe Audiogerät an.

4. Sie können das Lautstärkeniveau nun über die Lautstärketasten des Geräts einstellen. Alle anderen Funktionen können am externen Gerät wie gewohnt gesteuert werden.

Hinweis: (1) Wenn Sie den LINE OUT-Ausgang des externen Geräts verwenden, können Sie die Lautstärke nur an diesem Audiosystem einstellen. Wenn Sie den Kopfhöreranschluss des externen Geräts verwenden, können Sie die Lautstärke sowohl am externen Gerät als auch am Audiosystem, einstellen. (2) Betätigen Sie die POWER-Taste, um das Gerät nach der Benutzung auszuschalten. Vergessen Sie dabei nicht das externe Gerät ebenfalls auszuschalten.

Audioausgang

Dieses Gerät verfügt über einen Audioausgang zum Anschluss anderer Audiogeräte. Diese Stereo-Audioausgänge (L / R) befinden sich auf der Rückseite des Geräts.

Handhabung und Wartung

- Vermeiden Sie Gewalt- oder Stoßeinwirkung und Staub bzw. Extremtemperaturen.

- Versuchen Sie nicht die innere Bauelemente des Geräts zu manipulieren.
