HOME ROLL & PITCH SETUP INSTRUCTIONS » FIRST TIME ONLY

During the setup process, calm water conditions are favorable. Please follow the instructions as carefully as possible to ensure you set the most
accurate default HOME position. If an error is made during setup, both HOME ROLL and HOME PITCH positions can be erased and reset. Erasing
and Resetting HOME ROLL and HOME PITCH will be described in more detail on the bottom of this Quick Reference Guide.

When being setup for
the first time, the system

defaults to HOME ROLL
CALIBRATION MODE on
engine startup. This is
indicated by the scrolling
horizontal crosshair LEDs.

TO ENSURE THE MOST ACCURATE RESULTS
WE RECOMMEND SETTING UP IN CALM WATER CONDITIONS.

Get the boat on plane without using
the trim tabs. The tabs will be fully

retracted. Once the boat is on
plane, ensure the engine(s)
are trimmed in order to
achieve maximum bow rise
without porpoising. Get the boat to your typical cruising speed.

IT IS ESSENTIAL TO KEEP THE BOAT IN A STRAIGHT LINE DURING HOME PITCH
CALIBRATION. PROCESS TAKES 66 SECONDS FROM THE MOMENT THE AUTO
BUTTON IS PUSHED UNTIL HOME PITCH DEFAULT POSITION IS CALCULATED.

The Auto Glide will use this HOME ROLL POSI­TION to level the boat automatically from port to

starboard, while on plane. When you determine
that the boat is level from side to side, press and
release the “AUTO” button one time. At the exact
moment the AUTO button is released the Auto
Glide will store the boat’s ROLL POSITION as the
DEFAULT HOME ROLL position.

As soon as you release the “AUTO”
button on HOME ROLL CALIBRATION

MODE, the horizontal crosshair LEDs will
stop scrolling and the vertical crosshair
LEDs will begin to scroll up and down to
indicate that the Auto Glide is in HOME
PITCH CALIBRATION MODE.

After getting the boat to cruising speed,
press and release the AUTO button to

initiate the HOME PITCH CALIBRATION
PROCESS. During the HOME PITCH
CALIBRATION PROCESS, the key
pad vertical scrolling crosshair LEDs will
begin to scroll at a faster pace and the

DN LEDs will ash every 6 seconds as

the tabs are extended in short bursts to a fully extended position.

Immediately after the HOME PITCH CALIBRATION
PROCESS is complete, the scrolling light disappears,

the Auto Glide will calculate the optimum pitch angle for
the boat, and will save it as the HOME PITCH DEFAULT
POSITION. At this time the AUTO light will illuminate.

FROM THIS POINT FORWARD THE SYSTEM WILL
DEFAULT INTO AUTO MODE AT START UP.

HOME ROLL & PITCH SETUP INSTRUCTIONS » RESETTING ONLY

With your motor(s) turned “OFF”,
activate TEST MODE by pressing

and holding all four (4) UP/DN

buttons on the key pad for ve (5)

seconds. Once TEST MODE is
activated, the LEDs on the key pad

run through a sequence of ashes

to notify the operator that the Auto
Glide is in TEST MODE.

Once in TEST MODE, press and hold
the “AUTO” button until it transitions

into ROLL CALIBRATION MODE
& the horizontal crosshair LEDs
will scroll left to right. When you
determine that the boat is level from
side to side, press the “AUTO” button
one time. Once released the “AUTO”

LED INDICATOR will ash three times. conrming the new HOME

ROLL DEFAULT POSITIONS has been stored.

blank indicating the Auto Glide is back in
STANDBY MODE.

Restart your motor(s) & the Auto
Glide will

default to HOME PITCH
CALIBRATION MODE. The
VERTICAL CROSSHAIR LEDs
will scroll up and down to indicate
the Auto Glide is ready to reset
a new HOME PITCH DEFAULT
POSITION. For HOME PITCH
CALIBRATION PROCESS refer to

steps 4 through 6 above.

the desired ROLL and PITCH posi­tion, press and hold the FAV 1 and
FAV 2 buttons simultaneously until the

corresponding lights ash 5 times. At

this point your custom AUTO setting
has been saved.

TO OVERRIDE AUTOMATIC SETTINGS (AUTO, FAV 1, FAV 2, OR HOLD) AND
MANUALLY CONTROL THE TRIM TABS, SIMPLY PRESS ANY OF THE UP OR
DN BUTTONS. AT THIS POINT, ALL AUTOMATIC BOAT CONTROL DECISIONS
STOP AND YOU ASSUME FULL MANUAL CONTROL OF THE TRIM TABS.

SHARP TURN Your current automatic setting LED INDICATOR will blink

faster when the Auto Glide is in YAW LOCKOUT during sharp turns. The
Auto Glide will not correct for changes in ROLL or PITCH angle.

SAVING AUTO GLIDE CUSTOM SETTINGS

Before you can save an alternative HOME ROLL AND PITCH SETTINGS for

“HOLD”, “FAV 1” and “FAV 2”, you must rst place the Auto Glide in MANUAL

MODE, by pressing any of the four UP/DN buttons on the Key Pad. This puts
the Auto Glide in MANUAL MODE and you are now in control of the trim tabs.

Save ”FAV 1” or ”FAV 2”

Once you have found the desired roll and
pitch position, press and hold the FAV 1 or
FAV 2 button until the corresponding light

ashes 5 times. The FAV 1 or FAV 2 LED

Indicator will illuminate when you activate
this setting. This setting will remain available
until a new FAV 1 or FAVE 2 position is set.

Save ”HOLD”

Once you have found the desired roll
and pitch position, press and the HOLD
button to temporarily save your current
position. The HOLD button and the green
crosshair will illuminate when you activate
this setting.

HOLD CUSTOM TEMPORARY SETTING

Press briey to hold boat’s current

position. Light illuminates upon activation.

Custom setting will not be saved.

DN STARBOARD DOWN Press to

manually lower the bow’s starboard side.
Light above illuminates to indicate activity.

ROLL INDICATOR

Indicates the boat’s roll position based
on current settings.

UP STARBOARD UP Press to manually

raise the bow’s starboard side. Light below
illuminates to indicate activity.

FAV 2 CUSTOM SAVED SETTING

Press and hold

to save boat’s current position.

FAV 2 setting. Light will illuminate

Exit TEST MODE by holding down
all four (4) UP/DN buttons for one (1)

LEDs will go blank indicating the Auto

Finally, press the AUTO button to
enable your custom AUTO setting.

Press & hold for 5 seconds to
enable STANDBY MODE.
