The FS 3030 CINELITE for the LV 5700A is an exclusive software application for the LV 5700A.
For information on how to use the LV 5700A, see the LV 5700A Instruction Manual.
1. FEATURES
Displays the luminance of each component of the video signal (luminance component) in terms
of a camera aperture (f_Stop), luminance level (percentage level), or RGB level.
(1) You can select aperture (f_Stop), luminance level percentage (% Display), or RGB level for
displaying the luminance information. For RGB level, you can select RGB percentage or
RGB tone display.
(2) Displays the f_Stop value according to the CAL Table setting (GAMMA correction 0.45
(ITU-R BT709) or a user-defined correction table USER1 to USER3).
(3) Measures and displays luminance information at any location of the video using the X and
Y cursors.
(4) Displays the measured values in real time when shooting a video.
(5) Displays luminance information at the video signal reference point and at the comparison
point as well as the difference in the luminance levels between the two points (diff).

3. CINELITE INSTALLATION
You can use the CINELITE features by installing the software from the CF card. Follow the procedure below to install the software.
3.1 Before Installation
(1) The software is exclusive to the LV 5700A. Do not connect the CF Card to another
device.
(2) Copying the contents of the CF card without LEADER’s consent is prohibited. Note
that even if you copy the contents to another CF card, you will not be able to install CINELITE from that card.
(3) Once you install CINELITE to one LV 5700A, you will not be able to install it to another
LV 5700A using the same CF card.
(4) Follow the precautions below when handling the CF card.
• Do not touch the connector.
• Avoid exposing the CF card to heat, moisture, or direct sunlight.
• Do not apply shock to it.
• Do not remove it while it is being accessed.
3.2 Installation Procedure
(1) Check that the LV 5700A firmware version is 8.3 or later.
On the LV 5700A startup screen, check that the firmware version is 8.3 or later. You cannot install CINELITE if the firmware version is 8.2 or earlier. The startup screen appears after you turn on the power.
(2) Turn the LV 5700A off.
(3) Connect the CF card to the connector on the rear panel, and turn the power on.
When the power is turned on, the CINELITE features are automatically installed. When the measurement screen appears, the installation is complete. Do not remove the CF card while the LV 5700A is starting up.
(4) Check that the word “CINELITE” is displayed on the startup screen.
To confirm the installation, turn the power off, and then turn it back on. Check that the word “CINELITE” appears below the model name on the startup screen. Then, remove the CF card.
(5) Affix the CINELITE label to the front panel.
The figure below indicates where you can affix the label.

4.3 f_Stop Value Display Function
[ PICTURE → F4 f_Stop DISPLAY ] Displays the f_Stop value at the cross-point of LINE_No (Y cursor) and SAMPLE_No (X cursor). Displays the Y (luminance) level (=d_Lev) of the video signal indicated by LINE_No and SAMPLE_No as well as the calculated value of the Y (luminance) level (=d_Lev) by taking the reference value (d_REF) when the F4 18% REF_SET is pressed to be 0. This value indicates the aperture of the camera.
(1) If F•5 GAMMA=0.45
Displays the f_Stop value after ITU-R BT709 correction. If the reference level is set to REF18% (d_REF).
1) When LEVEL % 0
f_Stop = Not measureable
2) In case of 0 < LEVEL % < 8.1%
f_Stop = (Log((LEVEL%/100)/4.5)/Log2) - d_REF
3) When LEVEL% ≥ 8.1%
f_Stop = (Log((((LEVEL%/100)+0.099)/1.099)^(1/0.45))/Log2) - d_REF
(2) If F5 GAMMA=USER
Displays the value that is obtained by linearly approximating the values between the table values using the CAL table that you set using the F6 CAL_SET function menu.
When the luminance level (LEVEL%) at the intersection of the X and Y cursors is 0% or less or 80% or more, the f_Stop value display is displayed in yellow. Others are displayed in white.
4.3.1 f_Stop Setup Menu
Press PICTURE → F•4 f_Stop DISPLAY to display the LINE_No (Y) and SAMPLE_No (X) cursors as well as the LINE_No and SAMPLE_No at the lower left of the screen indicating the X and Y cursor positions. The f_Stop value is displayed near the cross-point of the X and Y cursors.
Note: Because the X and Y cursors indicate the positions represented by LINE_No and
SAMPLE_No, the cursors and luminance level are not displayed for values in the blanking period.

4.3.5 CAL_Table Setting Rules
In the user-defined measurement, the levels set in the CAL_Table are interpolated using linear approximation. Set the values in the table according to the rules given below. Correct measurements may not be displayed depending on how the table is set. (1) Be sure to set the Lev values in the table consecutively.
Setup Example
[22.0] 0.0 0 [16.0] 1.0 0 [11.0] 2.0 64 [ 8.0] 3.0 102 [ 5.6] 4.0 240 [ 4.0] 5.0 372 [ 2.8] 6.0 504
[ 2.0] 7.0 0 The measurements are valid for Y levels 0 to 504 in the setup above. Do not create unspecified data in the 8.0 to 4.0 range.
(2) The Lev settings in the table must increase monotonically.
In (1) above, Lev(11.0) < Lev(8.0) < Lev(5.6) < Lev(4.0) < Lev(2.8).
The position specified by the F6 CAL_F is assigned the Lv value that is the current cursor position.
REF_SET value. Displays the difference between the F value when you pressed F•4 18% REF_SET in the f_Stop setup menu and the F value that is determined from the Lv value at the cursor position.
4.4 %DISPLAY Displaying Function
