Sectional Assembly Instructions:
DANGER
• To prevent suffocation, keep plastic bags away from children.
• Do not sit or lie on ma ttress of sleep sofa except when it is fully extended. Never close unit with person or animal inside.
WARNING
• Always keep open flame and lit cigarettes away from upholstered furniture. Upholstered furniture may burn rapidly with toxic gas and thick smoke.
• Closely super vise children and disabled persons using this product.
• Sit down in the unit slowly. To avoid tip over, do not throw your weight against the back of the unit.
• Do not stand, sit or place extra weight on the arms or back.
• Do not use this product if it is dama ged. Do not use attachments or substitute parts.
• This product is intended for indoor residential use only.
• This product is not intended for use as a health care device.
• Use care when moving the product. Disconnect modular units. Securely grip non-moving parts only.
• Do not stand on stationary ottomans. They are intended only for use as a footrest.
• To avoid tipover, sit in center of chairs and ottomans. Do not rock or sit near edge of stationary product.
• Do not sit or place extra weight on the head area of the sleep sofa mattress. Excess weight can cause the sleep surface to tip up and back.
• Do not use La-Z-Boy is in motion. This furniture is not intended to protect its occupant in an accident. Safely secure the furniture while the vehicle is in motion to prevent injury or damages from any sudden stop.

• Do not move sectional units while connected together. The purpose of the connecting
bracket system is to connect the units and prevent them from being separated. The connecting bracket does not provide adequate structural support for the movement of connected units.

Select sectional styles come with hidden connecting brackets, located on the bottom of the sectional units. The pivoting lock brackets are located under the right side (sitting) of sectional units without right side arms (F (sitting) of sectional units without left side arms (F
1. Arrange the sectional units as desired. Leave approximately a foot between units to be connected.
2. Rotate the pivoting lock brackets to extend from under the unit (F brackets must be perpendicular to the edge of the unit to engage the connecting posts.
3. Align the connecting posts with the pivoting lock brackets. Push the units together to connect both sets of brackets (FIG URE 3).
4. To disconnect, lift the end of the unit with the connecting posts from the pivoting lock brackets.
