1. L ay t he back across the a rms of th e body. L ift the back at a slig ht a ngle and ali gn the b rack ets on t he b ack with the brackets on t he body (FIG URE 1).
2. L owe r th e ba ck o nto the body, makin g su re the b ack and body brac kets are com pletely engaged .
• To ma ke s ure the back is prope rly inst alle d wi th both sets of b ack and bod y brack ets enga ged, stan d be hind the ch air and twist the back fro m si de to si de. I f on e or both sides move out of posi tion the bracke ts are not engaged (F IGURE 2). Remove t he back and repeat the steps above.

3. L ock the brackets by u sing a s crewdri ver to push down the locking levers (FIGU RE 3 ).

1. L ay t he back across the a rms of th e body. L ift the back at a slig ht a ngle and align the bra ckets on th e ba ck w ith the brack ets on t he b ody (FIG URE 1).
• The back bra cket s ma y be loc ated on the outside or in side of the back asse mbly.
2. L owe r th e ba ck o nto the body, makin g su re the b ack and body brac kets are com pletely engaged .
• For chairs with back bracket s on the outs ide of the back assembly, stand beh ind the unit an d tw ist the back from side to side. If one or both s ides move ou t of posi tion the bracket s ar e no t en gag ed ( FIGURE 2). Re move th e ba ck a nd r epeat the s teps above.
• For chairs with back bracket s on the insi de o f th e ba ck assem bly, l ift the back uph olstery cov er t o vi sually confi rm that both sets of back and body brac kets are eng age d (F IGUR E 3) .

P ush the conso le back until the truss h ead screws o n th e ro cker recl ine r ar e en gaged in bo th t he f ront and rear bra cket s on the conso le.
4. P lace the le ft s ide (sitting ) ro cker recliner ( FIGU RE 2 ) ne xt to th e un it w ith the truss head scr ews, e ither the right side (sitti ng) rock er r ecli ner or the conso le. Move the left side (sit ting) roc ker recliner approxi mately 4" fo rward o f th e un it w ith the screw s. Push the rocke r re clin er bac k un til the truss he ad s crew s ar e engag ed i n bo th the f ront and rear bracket s on the roc ker recliner.
5. Ad jus t th e gl ides on the c onsole to le vel the unit, if neces sar y. Tur n clockw ise to lower and cou nterclockwi se t o ra ise.
6. Th e units must be disco nnected before movin g the loves eat. To disco nnect t he u nits , press the swi ng a rm o n th e au tomatic lat chin g brack et a nd s lide the unit for ward (FIGURE 4).

• T his u nit i s equ ipped wit h a tensio n adj ustment f eature for the reclining mechanism tha t is preset at the factory. The tension settin g can be ch anged for your personal preferen ce. To av oid tip over an d ins ure s tability, do not operat e the unit with the tension adjustment wing nuts comple tely loosened.
WARNING
NOTICE: – To r educ e t he risk of product dam age:
• Make s ure the legrest is closed before t ilting fo rward a nd adjust ing the tensi on.
• Do n ot co mpletely tighten the wing nuts. The te nsion springs s hould not be c ompl etely compress ed af ter making adjus tmen ts. If this occurs, the wing nuts m ust be l oose ned a minimum of ½-t urn t o avoid damage t o the s pring ten sion assembly.
• Do n ot co mpletely loosen t he wing nuts. The spr ing s hould n ot slide on the bolt after making adjust ments. If the sp ring slides on the bolt, ti ghten the wing nut clo ckwise a mi nimum of ½-turn after the sprin g no longer s lides on the bo lt.

T he 2 nd p osition is s lightly more incline d fo r co mfortab le t elev ision v iewi ng (FI GURE 3). The 3rd posit ion is fully extende d fo r co mplete relax ati on ( FIGURE 4). To lower the leg rest, ro tate the handle counter cloc kwis e to the fully extended posi tio n, th en r ota te clock wise to the fully clos ed posit ion.

4. R emove the t wo s pace r bu shings from betw een the swivel base bottom and g lide base sub assembl y (F IGURE 2).
