• Best results are obtained when solution temperatures are 23-25°C.
USE OF THE OCTA-SLIDE 2 VIEWER
The Octa-Slide 2 Viewer should be held so nondirect light enters through the back of the Viewer.
Insert the Octa-Slide 2
the reacted sample into the top of the Viewer. Match
the color of the
Bar into the Viewer. Insert
reaction to the color standards.
PROCEDURE
RANGE: 0.5-10 ppm PHOSPHATE (PO
)

1. Insert the Phosphate Octa-Slide 2 Bar (3115-01) into the Octa-Slide 2 Viewer
(1101).
2. Fill a test tube (0843) to 10 mL line with sample water.
3. Use a 1.0 mL pipet (0354) to add 1.0 mL of *Phosphate Acid Reagent (6282).
Cap and mix.
4. Use a 0.1 g spoon (0699) to add one level measure of Phosphate Reducing
Reagent (6283). Cap and mix until dissolved. Wait 5 minutes.
5. Insert the test tube into the Octa-Slide 2 Viewer. Match sample color to a color
standard. Record as ppm Phosphate.
RANGE: 5-100 ppm PHOSPHATE (PO4), 1:10 DILUTION
1. Insert the Phosphate Octa-Slide 2 Bar (3115-01) into the Octa-Slide 2 Viewer
(1101).
2. Use a 1.0 mL pipet (0354) to add 1.0 mL of sample water to test tube (0843).
3. Dilute to 10 mL line with deionized water from the Demineralizer Bottle (1151).
4. Use a second 1.0 mL pipet (0354) to add 1.0 mL *Phosphate Acid Reagent
(6282). Cap and mix.
5. Use the 0.1g spoon (0699) to add one level measure of Phosphate Reducing
Reagent (6283). Cap and mix until dissolved. Wait 5 minutes.
6. Insert the test tube into the Octa-Slide 2 Viewer. Match sample color to a color
standard. Record as ppm Phosphate.
