XG-3 0 wil l show the follo wing items on th e

row.

midd le ro w.
The date will appear on the b ottom row.

1.0 Introduction
4.1 Current Ti me Mode - S etting t he Curre nt Time
How to S et the Curr ent Ti me
+ To sele ct the set ting disp lay, press a nd hold th e
[SEL ] bu tton for about 2 second s in Cur rent Time
Disp lay, and t hen the fla shing " SET" ic on w ill
appe ar.
+ In s ettin g dis play, pre ss th e [SE L] b utton to
ch ange t he s ele ctio n f ollo win g th e a djac ent
diag ram.
+ Wh en one of th e sett ing it ems (m inute, ho ur,
day, mon th, year) i s flashi ng (selec ted), press
the [S/S ] o r [L /R] button to inc rease / decre ase
the n umber. ( Hold do wn the butt on to ch ange
the numbe r at a hig her s peed).
+ Wh en the second di gits are flas hing (sele cted),
pres s t he [ S/S] or [L/ R] butt on to re set the
digi ts t o "0 0". When mont h-day order set ting is
sele cted, pres s the [S/ S] or [L/ R] but ton to
se lec t be twe en mo nth -da y a nd d ay- mon th
form at.
+ Wh en 12/2 4 h our for mat set ting is sel ected,
pres s the [S/S ] bu tton to se lect betwee n 12 and
24 hour forma t. W hen L CD c ontrast is selec ted,
pres s th e [S/ S] o r [L /R] t o in crease or decre ase
th e c ont ras t l eve l f rom 1 (l owe st) to 10
(hig hest).
+ Wh en key beep se tting i s selec ted, p ress th e
[S/S ] o r [L /R] butto n to se lect betwe en ON and
OFF the beep.
+ Wh en th e se tting is c omplete d, h old d own the
[SEL ] but ton to exit the settin g dis play. Th e XG30 w ill a lso ex it th e s etti ng di spl ay i f N O
keys troke has b een a ctivate d for 1 m inute.

5.0 Daily Alarm M ode - Daily Alarm 1, D aily Alarm 2 and Chi me Display
5.1 Daily Alarm M ode - Setting the Daily Alarm and Chime ON-O FF

+ Th e XG- 30 inc ludes tw o daily ala rms, the y are
the Daily Alarm 1 an d Dai ly Alar m 2.
+ Th e Da ily A larm 1 and Dai ly Al arm 2 are
work ing i ndepend ently.
+ If the ala rm i s tu rned ON, the XG-30 wil l so und
at the pr eset a larm time ev eryday. Whe n the
alar m sou nds, pres s any bu tton (ex cept E L
butt on) to stop the beep.
Hour ly Chi me an d Hal f-Hour Chime
+ Th e XG-30 incl udes tw o chime func tions, they
are hourl y chim e and half -hour chime.
+ Ho urly Chime: If the hourl y chi me i s tu rned ON,
the XG -30 will beep o nce ever y ho ur at the
hour (e.g . 1:00 , 2:0 0,3:00 and etc.)
+ Ha lf-H our Chi me: If th e ha lf-ho ur c hime is
turn ed ON, the XG- 30 will beep o nce every 30
minu tes at th e hour a nd at th e half pa st hour
(e.g . 1:00 , 1:3 0 2:0 0, 2:3 0, 3: 00 an d etc. )
+ Ch eck the com ing cha pter 5. 3 for m ore det ail

the [L/R] butto n in the Daily A larm 2 Disp lay.
+ Wh en th e Da ily Al arm 1 or 2 is O N, th e al arm

+ To turn ON or OFF the Chim e fu nction, pr ess
the [L/R] butto n in Chime Displ ay.

+ To se lect th e setti ng disp lay, hold the [SE L]
butt on fo r ab out 2 seco nds in Ala rm 1 (sett ing
alar m 1) or Alarm 2 (settin g ala rm 2 ) Dis play,
and then the f lashin g "SET " ico n wil l app ear.
+ In set ting di splay, p ress th e [SEL] but ton to
chan ge th e sel ectio n bet ween min ute a nd
hour foll owing the a djacent diag ram.
+ Wh en th e dig its are f lashing (se lected) , pr ess
th e [ S/S ] o r [L /R] bu tto n t o i ncr eas e /
decr ease the n umber. (Ho ld down th e button
to change the nu mber a t a higher speed ).
+ Wh en t he se tting is comple ted, hold down the
[SEL ] butto n to ex it the set ting di splay. Th e
XG-3 0 will also ex it the sett ing displ ay if NO
keys troke has b een a ctivate d for 1 m inute.
