INTRODUCTION:

The Atomic Alarm Clock with 12 Hour Color Forecast and Snooze Alarm features
radio-controlled time, weather forecast, indoor and outdoor temperature/humidity as
well as heat index and dew point, on a stylish, colorful, and easy to read tabletop
display. Use the integrated USB charging port to charge your devices when the
Atomic Alarm Clock is plugged into a power outlet.

THIS STATION LEARNS!
Please allow 3-4 weeks for barometer calibration to generate an accurate
forecast.

ATOMIC AL ARM CLOCK:

SETUP INSTRUCTIONS STEP BY STEP:
STEP 1: (optional battery operation)

 Remove battery cover from the Atomic Alarm Clock: Slide tab to right and pull out

to remove the cover.

 Insert 3 NEW AA batteries (not included) into the

back of the Atomic Alarm Clock. Observe the
correct polarity (see marking inside the battery
compartment). Do NOT mix old and new batteries.

 The Atomic Alarm Clock will light up and show,

indoor temperature, humidity and channel 1.

STEP 2:

 Insert the 5-volt a/c power adapter into the

designated area on the back of the Atomic Alarm Clock.

 Plug the a/c power adapter into a wall outlet for continuous backlight (ON/OFF),

and dimmer feature.

 Note: Backlight will illuminate for 8 seconds when using only battery power with a

press/release of the SNOOZE/LIGHT button.

 IMPORTANT: When operating on a/c power, to avoid interference, the backlight

and USB charge port will turn off while the Atomic Alarm Clock searches for the
WWVB signal. The backlight and USB charge port resume after a 2-10 minute
search.

STEP 3:

 Keep the transmitter within 10 feet of the Atomic Alarm

Clock during setup.

 Remove battery cover from transmitter: Slide the battery

cover down and lift off the back.

 Insert 2 NEW AA batteries (included) into the TX14TH

transmitter. Observe the correct polarity.

 The CH switch is set to Channel 1 by default. Confirm channel 1 is selected.

 Within 3 minutes the Atomic Alarm Clock will beep and then show readings in the

Outdoor temperature area on the LCD.

 Note: Use Alkaline batteries (or Lithium for temperatures below - 20°F / -28.8°C).
TROUBLESHOOTING:

 If the Atomic Alarm Clock does not display the outdoor temperature after 3

minutes, remove the a/c power adapter and all batteries from both units and start
the setup process again.

 If the outdoor temperature does not show up after a second attempt, please slide

open the battery cover of the outdoor transmitter to reveal the TX button. Push
down on the TX button for 3 seconds to send a wireless signal to the Atomic
Alarm Clock.

 Hold the CH button 3-5 seconds, and the Atomic Alarm Clock will search for the

transmitter.

 For optimal 433 MHz signal reception, the outdoor transmitter should be placed

within 200 feet (60 meters) from the indoor Atomic Alarm Clock.

POSITIONING THE WIRELESS OUTDOOR TEMP/HUMIDITY TRANSMITTER

Once the Atomic Alarm Clock displays the outdoor temperature, place it and the
transmitter in the desired locations and wait approximately 1-hour before
permanently mounting the transmitter to ensure that there is proper reception. The
transmitter should be mounted vertically, in a shaded, protected area, at least 6 feet
from the ground to avoid damage and ensure accurate readings. The transmitter is
water resistant, not waterproof and should not be placed anywhere it will become
submerged in water or subject to standing water or snow.

WALL MOUNT

 Choose a shaded location (under an overhang) for the transmitter that

is within the confirmed wireless reception range of the Atomic Alarm
Clock for accuracy.

 Install one mounting screw (not included) into a wall leaving

approximately ½ of an inch (12.7mm) extended.

 Place the hanging hole (on the back of the transmitter) onto the

mounting screw and gently slide the transmitter down to secure it.

IMPORTANT: For true temperature and humidity readings, mount the transmitter
out of direct sunlight on a North-facing wall or in any other well shaded area like
under an eave or deck rail. The maximum transmitting range in open air is over 200­feet (60 meters). Obstacles such as walls, windows, stucco, concrete, and large
metal objects can reduce the range.

WWVB RADIO CONTROLLED TIME

The NIST radio station, WWVB, is located in Ft. Collins, Colorado and transmits the
exact time signal continuously throughout the United States at 60 kHz. The signal
can be received up to 2,000 miles away through the internal antenna in the Atomic
Alarm Clock. However, due to the nature of the Earth’s Ionosphere, reception is
very limited during daylight hours. The Atomic Alarm Clock will search for a signal
every night when reception is best.

WWVB RECEPTION ICON with full signal strength will appear on screen if
the reception of atomic time is successful.

 The tower icon will show solid when the Atomic Alarm Clock has received the

WWVB signal.

 No tower icon; the Atomic Alarm Clock was unable to receive a signal at this time.
 Reposition the Atomic Alarm Clock for better signal reception or try at bedtime.
 The Atomic Alarm Clock will start searching at UTC: 07:00 and if no reception on

the first attempt they will try again at 08:00, 09:00 and 10:00. Each attempt will
be at least 2 minutes and the most will be 10 minutes.

 If there is no signal or too much interference the receiver will only be on for 2

minutes.

 If the signal is good it may catch a signal in ABOUT 2-3 minutes.
 If the signal is marginal it will try to catch a signal for up to 10 minutes.
 IMPORTANT: When operating on a/c power, to avoid interference, the backlight

and USB charge port will turn off while the Atomic Alarm Clock searches for the
WWVB signal. The backlight and USB charge port resume after a 2-10 minute

search which occurs during the late night or early morning hours.
Note: In case the Atomic Alarm Clock is not able to detect the WWVB-signal
(disturbances, transmitting distance, etc.); the time may be manually set.

PROGRAM MENU: The SET button will move through the program menu. To
change a value use the +/RCC or -/°C/°F buttons.
 WWVB ON/OFF: Hold the SET button 5 seconds and WWVB and the word ON

will flash. Press and release the +/RCC or -/°C/°F button to turn this to OFF if you

do not wish WWVB reception. Confirm with the SET button and move to the next

item.
 TIME ZONE: EST will flash. Press and release the +/RCC or -/°C/°F button to

select a different Time Zone: AST=Atlantic, EST= Eastern, CST= Central, MST=

Mountain, PST= Pacific, AKT= Alaska, HAT=Hawaiian time zone. Confirm with the
SET button and move to the next item.

 DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME: DST will flash and the word ON. Press and release

the +/RCC or -/°C/°F button to turn this to OFF if you do not observe DST.
Confirm with the SET button and move to the next item.

 12/24 HOUR TIME: 12H will flash. Press and release the +/RCC or -/°C/°F button

to select 24H. Confirm with the SET button and move to the next item.

 HOUR: The hour will flash. Press and release the +/RCC or -/°C/°F button to

select the correct hour. Confirm with the SET button and move to the next item.

 MINUTES: The minutes will flash. Press and release the +/RCC or -/°C/°F button

to select the correct minutes. Confirm with the SET button and move to the next
item.

 YEAR: The year will flash. Press and release the +/RCC or -/°C/°F button to

select the correct year. Confirm with the SET button and move to the next item.

 MONTH: The month will flash. Press and release the +/RCC or -/°C/°F button to

select the correct month. Confirm with the SET button and move to the next item.

 DATE: The date will flash. Press and release the +/RCC or -/°C/°F button to select

the correct date. Confirm with the SET button and exit the program menu.

 Note: The Day of the Week will set automatically when the year, month and date

are set.

FARENHEIT/CELSIUS: Press and release the -/°C/°F button once to switch from
Fahrenheit to Celsius readings on the Atomic Alarm Clock.

AUTO (channel scroll) - AUTO will appear in the outdoor temperature/humidity
area when multiple transmitters are received and the Atomic Alarm Clock is set to
scroll through the channels automatically.
 Press and release the CH button repeatedly until the word AUTO appears. The

Atomic Alarm Clock will rotate through all available channels.

 Press and release the CH button once to show only one channel continually.
The Atomic Alarm Clock can receive up to 3 outdoor transmitters. Extra TX14TH

transmitters may be found online or at your retailer to monitor remote temperature
and humidity of up to 3 locations within a 200 Ft wireless range of the Atomic Alarm
Clock.

Note: When only one transmitter is connected, you cannot see other channels.

BACKLIGHT:
A/C adapter: The backlight is on continuously when operating the Atomic Alarm
Clock with the 5-volt a/c adapter.

 HIGH: The backlight is defaulted to HI when the Adapter is in use.
 LO: Press and release the LIGHT HI/LO button to dim the backlight. Press and

release again to return to full strength.

 Note: When the Adapter is NOT in use, the High/Lo light feature is not available.
 OFF: Hold the HOLD ON/OFF button for 5 seconds, until the clock beeps, to turn

the backlight off, to sleep.

 ON: Hold the HOLD ON/OFF button again until the clock beeps, to turn the

backlight on.

 Note: When the backlight is off, press any button to activate the backlight for 8

seconds

LIGHT/SNOOZE

Battery power: Press and release the SNOOZE/LIGHT button and the backlight
will show for 8 seconds, when operating on batteries only.

ALARM SET:
 ALARM HOUR: Press and hold ALARM button to enter alarm time setting mode.

The Alarm Hour will flash. Use the +/RCC or -/°C/°F button to set the Hour. Press
and release the ALARM button.

 ALARM MINUTE: The Alarm Minutes will flash. Use the +/RCC or -/°C/°F button

to set the Minutes. Press and release the ALARM button to exit.

ALARM ACTIVATION:

 Press and release the ALARM button once to show Alarm Time.
 Press and release the ALARM button repeatedly to activate or deactivate the

Alarm. The alarm icon appears when alarm is activated.

SNOOZE:

 When the alarm sounds, press the SNOOZE button to trigger snooze alarm for 10

minutes. The snooze icon Zz will flash when the snooze feature is active.

 To stop alarm for one day, press ALARM button, while in snooze mode. The alarm

icon will remain solid.
Note: When the alarm sounds, it continues for 2 minutes and then shuts off
completely.

USB CHARGE PORT:

The integrated USB charging port (on back) will charge devices when the Atomic
Alarm Clock is plugged into a power outlet.

Note: This is a power output (charging) port only. This port will
not supply power to the Atomic Alarm Clock.
 Connect your existing USB charging cord for your external

device to the USB charging port on the back of the Atomic
Alarm Clock to begin to charge. Charging times will vary.

 Note: Check that your device will charge with the USB

cord it came with. Many USB cords are for data transfer

only, and cannot be used for charging.

 Output: 1A maximum current USB.
 Do NOT overload USB port.

 IMPORTANT: When operating on a/c power, to avoid interference, the backlight

and USB charge port will turn off while the Atomic Alarm Clock searches for the

WWVB signal. The backlight and USB charge port resume after a 2-10 minute

search which occurs during the late night or early morning hours.
MIN/MAX TEMPERATURE/HUMIDITY DATA: The Atomic Alarm Clock shows daily

minimum and maximum temperatures each day starting at midnight (12:00 AM).
The clock automatically resets the min/max temperatures at midnight (12:00 AM).

 View MAX data: Press and release the MIN/MAX button once to view maximum

temperature and humidity values for indoor and outdoor data.

 View MIN data: Press and release the MIN/MAX button twice to view minimum

temperature and humidity values for indoor or outdoor data.

 Reset MIN/MAX data: Hold the MIN/MAX button for 5 seconds to reset all

min/max values.

HEAT INDEX: Heat Index combines the effects of heat and humidity. It is the
apparent temperature of how hot it feels to a human being.

Note: Heat index will be the same number as the
outdoor temperature until that temperature is above
80 degrees ° F (26.7° C).

View Heat Index: From a normal display press the HEAT/DEW button once and
Heat Index will show instead of the ambient temperature.

DEW POINT: Dew point is the saturation point of the air, or the temperature to

which the air has to be cooled in order to create
condensation.

Note: Dew Point generally is lower than the
temperature.

View Dew Point: From a normal display press the HEAT/DEW button twice and
Dew Point will show instead of the ambient temperature.

LOW BATTERY:

 When this icon

appears in the indoor (IN) reading section, replace the batteries

in the Atomic Alarm Clock .

 When this icon

appears in the outdoor (OUT) readings section, replace the

batteries in the outdoor transmitter.

WEATHER FORECAST ICONS:

The Atomic Alarm Clock predicts weather condition of the next 12-hours based on
the change of atmospheric pressure with 70-75% accuracy.
Note: As weather conditions cannot be 100% correctly forecasted we are not
responsible for any loss caused by an incorrect forecast.

THIS STATION LEARNS!
Please allow 3-4 weeks for barometer calibration to generate an accurate
forecast.

IMPORTANT: As the atomic alarm clock builds memory, it will compare the current

average pressure to the past forty day average pressure for increased accuracy.
The longer the atomic alarm clock operates in one location the more accurate the
forecast icons will be.

scouring agents.

 The Atomic Alarm Clock is not a toy. Keep it out of reach of children.

problem determination and service procedures. Warranty service can only be performed by
