Rear Interior Storage Shelf Kit No. 5235000
Operation
The Rear Interior Storage Shelf placed in the glove box main chamber maximizes usable space by adding 240 square inches of storage space or an additional 25%. Bin organizers can be added and hang from the slots on the rear shelf kit. Not all the shelves need be used, the user may choose how many shelves are installed. Follow the installation procedure below to assemble the rear shelf kit.
Installation Procedure
1. The Rear Interior Storage Shelf Kit consists of the rear slotted back panel, right and left
uprights, two shelves, and one bottom shelf. The shelf kit can be assembled inside the main chamber of the glove box by bringing all the components through the transfer chamber. Alternatively, the front view window may be temporarily removed to insert the fully assembled shelf kit.
2. Identify the two uprights, both left and right, along with the rear slotted back shelf and
screws. Remove the protective paper film from all the stainless steel parts. Assemble the rear slotted shelf on to the two uprights by pushing the shelf with the left and right side tabs oriented downwards, through the upper slots in the two uprights. Push the shelf downwards to lock in place. Install a screw on both sides to secure.
3. Next, assemble the lower and middle shelves as needed by pushing the shelf through the
slots in the uprights and push down to lock in place. Install screw on both sides to secure. A minimum of two shelves are required and you may omit shelves to store taller items or use hanging bins.
4. Place the shelf kit in the rear of the glove box interior with the lower front ledge resting on
the black work surface and the back ledge resting on the glove box liner.
5. Installation is now complete.
