Noise reducing software technology lets you enjoy outstanding voice call quality. The Wireless Stereo Headset with Pendant Controller can be used in noisy environments and still deliver sharp voice quality and receive the best, clearest audio clarity.
Bluetooth Wireless Technology
Bluetooth wireless technology is a short-distance wireless communication technology. The range of operation between Bluetooth wireless technology enabled devices is about 10 meters (33 ft.). Bluetooth wireless technology enabled devices do not require line of sight and can transmit through walls and other non-metal obstacles. Thick or reinforced concrete can limit the range.

Using the toggle key
The toggle key controls the following functions:

Getting started
Remove all components from the package:

Charging the headset
This headset is equipped with the latest Li-Polymer battery which can be charged at any time without degrading the battery life, regardless of the amount of charge remaining.
The battery must be fully charged before initial use. It takes approximately 1 hour to charge the battery when fully discharged; less time if it has a partial charge.
A single charge will provide approximately 200 hours of stand-by time. You can call or listen to music continuously for up to five hours.
1. Ensure the headset is turned off.
2. Connect the pendant to your computer’s USB
port using the provided USB adapter.
Note: If using a charger other than the one
provided with your device, ensure that it is approved for use with this product.
3. While the pendant is charging the red LED is lit.
4. When the device is fully charged the red LED
blinks and then turns off.
Important: The rechargeable battery in the headset
must be disposed or recycled according to local ordinance regulations.
Checking the battery level
With the headset turned on, press the toggle
key
down - for approximately one and a half
seconds. The LED blinks in the following patterns (the more blinks, the fuller the battery):
5 consecutive blinks: fully charged/over 4.0V 4 consecutive blinks: 3.8V 3 consecutive blinks: 3.6V 2 consecutive blinks: 3.4V 1 blink: nearly dead/under 3.4V
Powering the headset on and off
Power on
Press the toggle key IN for approximately
one and a half seconds. The LED lights up, and if the earpiece is in place, you can hear the tones of the scale play from low to high.
Power off
Press the toggle key IN for four to five
seconds to power the pendant off. If the earpiece is in place, you can hear the tones of the scale play from high to low, and the LED turns off.
Pairing the headset to your mobile phone
Before you can use the headset to make calls, you must pair the headset with your phone. Pairing creates a secure link between your phone and the unique ID of the headset. You only have to pair devices once.

When the device is initially powered on, it is automatically in pairing mode. The LED blinks rapidly for approximately eight seconds and then stops. The LED will then continue blinking at five second intervals.
If you did not pair the headset with your mobile phone when you initially turned it on, you can do so at any time.
1. After power-on, press the toggle key up + or
down - for four to five seconds Note: The blue LED will blink rapidly indicating
that it is in pairing stand-by status.
2. Prepare your mobile phone for pairing according
to the instructions provided with the phone.
3. Begin pairing the headset and the phone
according to the instructions provided with the phone.
4. Select ED-8800. Note: The password is 0000.
5. Once the devices have been successfully
paired, the blue LED starts to blink twice at five-second intervals. When the Bluetooth icon
displays on the mobile phone LCD, the
registration is complete.
Note: If the LED blinks rapidly for several
seconds, the pairing was unsuccessful. In this case, power off both the phone and the headset and begin the paring process again.
6. The connection between the headset and
phone terminates when the distance exceeds 10M (33 ft.).
If this happens, press the toggle key to the
right >>| or left |<<, and the connection will be
recovered. The stereo profile is connected if you press the toggle key
IN or will automatically
reconnect after about four minutes.
Playing music
Make sure you are within 10M (33 ft.) of the music player. (This distance may vary depending the other device’s specifications.)
Note: Ensure that the headset is paired with the
mobile phone.
Adjusting the volume
While listening to music or making a call, press
the toggle key
up + or down -.
Controls
Press the toggle key IN to start the MP3
player. Press
IN again to stop the music.
While music is playing, a toggle to the or left |<< returns to the beginning of the
current song.

Making calls
Direct dial from phone
1. Dial the number on your mobile phone.
2. Touch toggle key slightly to the right >>|
or left |<<.
Note: If your mobile phone supports auto-
transfer and is set to do so, the call transfers to the headset automatically.
Redial
Press the toggle key briefly twice
towards the
right >>| or left |<< to redial the
last number.
Note: This only functions if you are not in music
play mode.
Voice activated call
Note: The phone must support hands-free and
voice recognition functions and voice dial must already be set up for this number.
1. Press the toggle key right >>| or left |<< for
approximately one and half seconds.
2. When the mobile phone tells you to speak the
name, you will hear a beep at which time you should say the name.
Receiving calls
When you receive the call, press the toggle key
briefly to the right >>| or left |<< to answer.
Rejecting calls
Press and hold the toggle key IN. Note: This function may not be supported on
all devices.
Call transfer
Using the mobile phone
To transfer a call from the mobile phone to the headset, press the transfer key on the mobile phone according to the device’s instructions. Repeat this process to transfer the call back to the mobile phone.
Using the headset pendant
To transfer a call from mobile phone to the headset, press and hold the toggle key
IN for
approximately one and a half seconds. Repeat this process to transfer the call back to the mobile phone.
Note: The call may be dropped if the transfer
process is mishandled.
Ending a call
To hang up the phone, press the toggle key IN. If the other party hangs up before you do, the call is
automatically ended.
Safety Information
Please do not connect the plug of the headset
charger with wet hands.
Please do not let children or pets bite or suck on
the headset.
Please ensure the headset is powered off when
entering construction or other areas that may be susceptible to explosions.
Please do not use the headset while driving
your car.

To protect your hearing, and prevent hearing loss, ensure volume is kept within reasonable levels.
Notes
Some features or functions may not be supported by your mobile phone. Please check with your service provider for specific feature information.
To ensure correct operation, please read the following safety information carefully.
Take care not to drop the headset. This may
shorten product life and void the warranty.
Do not disassemble the headset. This will void
the product support agreement.
If the headset has not been used for several
hours, charge it completely before its next use. This will help ensure proper operation.
Take care not to press the toggle key by
mistake. This may activate the redial function, and initiate a call.
To prevent possible disruptions or noise, please
do not use the headset near a microwave.
While charging the headset, please ensure the
power is off, and use the charger included with the kit. Using an incorrect charger may result in product failure.
Please do not leave your headset in high
temperature settings, such as a sauna or in the car during the summer.

Kyocera Wireless Corp. (“KYOCERA”) offers you a limited warranty that the enclosed product or products (the “Product”) will be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period that expires one year from the date of sale of the Product to you, provided that you are the original end-user purchaser of the Product and provided that your purchase was made from an authorized supplier. Transfer or resale of a Product will automatically terminate warranty coverage with respect to that Product. This limited warranty is not transferable to any third party, including but not limited to any subsequent purchaser or owner of the Product. This limited warranty is applicable only to end users in the United States and Canada.
KYOCERA shall, at its sole and absolute discretion, either repair or replace a Product (which unit may use refurbished parts of similar quality and functionality) if found by KYOCERA to be defective in material or workmanship, or if KYOCERA determines that it is unable to repair or replace such Product, KYOCERA shall refund the purchase price for such Product, provided that the subject Product (i) is returned, with transportation prepaid, to a KYOCERA authorized service center within the one year warranty period, and (ii) is accompanied by a proof of purchase in the form of a bill of sale or receipted invoice which evidences that the subject Product is within the one year warranty period (“Proof of Purchase”). After the one year warranty period, you must pay all shipping, parts and labor charges.
This limited warranty does not cover and is void with respect to the following: (i) any Product which has been improperly installed, repaired, maintained or modified; (ii) any Product which has been subjected to misuse (including any Product used in conjunction with hardware electrically or mechanically incompatible or used with accessories not approved by KYOCERA), abuse, accident, physical damage, abnormal operation, improper handling, neglect, exposure to fire, water or excessive moisture or dampness or extreme changes in climate or temperature; (iii) any Product operated outside published maximum ratings; (iv) cosmetic damage; (v) any Product on which warranty stickers or Product serial numbers have been removed, altered, or rendered illegible; (vi) cost of installation, removal or reinstallation; (vii) signal reception problems (unless caused by defects in material and workmanship); (viii) damage the result of fire, flood, acts of God or other acts which are not the fault of KYOCERA and which the Product is not specified to tolerate, including damage caused by mishandling, shipping and blown fuses; (ix) consumables (such as fuses); or (x) any Product which has been opened, repaired, modified or altered by anyone other than KYOCERA or a KYOCERA authorized service center.
USE ONLY KYOCERA APPROVED ACCESSORIES WITH KYOCERA PHONES. USE OF ANY UNAUTHORIZED ACCESSORIES MAY BE DANGEROUS AND WILL INVALIDATE THE PHONE WARRANTY IF SAID ACCESSORIES CAUSE DAMAGE OR A DEFECT TO THE PHONE.

KYOCERA SPECIFICALLY DISCLAIMS LIABILITY FOR ANY AND ALL DIRECT, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, GENERAL, PUNITIVE, EXEMPLARY, AGGRAVATED, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY THEREOF, WHETHER FORESEEABLE OR UNFORESEEABLE OF ANY KIND WHATSOEVER, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, UNANTICIPATED BENEFITS OR REVENUE, ANTICIPATED PROFITS ARISING OUT OF USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE ANY PRODUCT (FOR EXAMPLE, WASTED AIRTIME CHARGES DUE TO THE MALFUNCTION OF A PRODUCT) OR CONTRIBUTION OR INDEMNITY IN RESPECT OF ANY CLAIM RELATED TO A PRODUCT.
REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF A DEFECTIVE PRODUCT OR REFUND OF THE PURCHASE PRICE RELATING TO A DEFECTIVE PRODUCT, AS PROVIDED UNDER THIS WARRANTY, ARE YOUR SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDIES FOR BREACH OF THE LIMITED WARRANTY, AND SUBJECT TO THIS WARRANTY, THE PRODUCTS ARE APPROVED AND ACCEPTED BY YOU “AS IS”.
