your coffee maker.
.,
..,
DECALCIFYING
Although your KRUPS coffee
maker has the most advanced
,water healing
and pumping
, system. it will periodically need
cleaning with a decalcifying
agent.
. Thisis due to the calcium
, ' (limestone)foundindrinking
,wOlter,
,. In some areas where the water
is hard, you will need to decal-
cify more frequently than in
areas with soft water.
. It willalsodepend upon how
often you use your coffee ma-
ker.
WHENTO DECALCIFY
Youwill know when such a clean-
ing is necessary by an obvious
slowdown in the brewing time of
your coffee, This extended time
indicates that there is a calcium'
deposit in your coffee maker, We
recommend using KRUPSoriginal
decalcifying agent for cleaning
your KHUPScoffee maker. Ifused
in accordance with the following
Instructions, it will prolong the
life of your coffee maker.
HOW TO DECALCIFY
. Dis$Olvecontentsof one
package of Better Brew into
two cups of cold tap water, Pour
solution into the water tank,
then put the empty carafe and
filter basket in place, and run
the coffeemaker until half the
solution has flowed into the
glass camfe.Thenturn the cof-
feemaker "OFP' and let stand
for 10minutes. After the ten,'
minute cooling period is over,
turn the coffeemaker back
"ON" and let the rest of the
solution flow into the carafe.
