INSTALLATION
Precautions
1. Choose the mounting location where the unit will not interfere with the normal driving functions of the driver.
2. Avoid installing the unit where it would be subject to high temperature, such as from direct sunlight, or from hot air, from the heater, or where it would be subject to dust, dirt or excessive vibration.
3. For safe installation, use the mounting hardware provided by the manufacturer.

REMOVE THE UNIT FROM THE DASH BOARD
1. Insert the supplied key into the slot as shown, and slide the unit out of the dash board while holding the trim plate.
2. Remove the metal strap attached to the back of the unit.
3. Remove the key from the slot.
4. Disconnect all the wires of the unit and the antenna plug.

WIRING CONNECTION
1. All connections should be soldered and insulated with electrical tape.
2. Be sure to connect the red power input lead to + 12V power terminal after all the other leads have been properly connected.
3. Run all ground wires to a common ground.
ANTENNA RELAY WIRE
A blue wire has been provided for relay controlled antenna. The relay will automatically activate antenna upward when unit is turn on and retract when unit is turn off.
CAUTION: Do not hook up blue wire to motor wire or damage may occur to the unit.
WIRING CONNECTION
Note:
1. For 2-speakers system, green, violet, white/black and grey/black wire leads are unconnected and isolated.
2. For 2-speakers system, keep the fader rotation at center position to maintain the existing volume level.

GENERAL OPERATION
• ON/OFF
Rotate the inner knob (1) to turn on or off the unit and adjust the sound output level.
• BALANCE
Rotate the outer knob (2) to adjust sound balance between left channel and right channel.
• SELECT MODE
Press TUNER button (4) to switch to radio mode. When the compact disc is inserted in the disc slot, press CD button (10) to switch to CD mode.
• LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY
Exhibit current frequency and activating functions on the display (18).
Note: If the unit has FADER function, the operation of knobs (1), (2) and (3) have
some changes as below:
- ON/VOL push BAL
Rotate the inner knob (1) to turn on or off the unit and adjust the sound output level. Push inward and rotate the knob to adjust the sound balance between left and right speakers.
- FADER
Rotate the outer knob (2) to adjust the sound balance between front and rear speakers.
- BASS push TRE
Rotate the knob (3) to adjust the sound quality of low frequency level. Push inward and rotate the knob to adjust the sound quality of high frequency level.

RADIO OPERATION
• SELECT BAND
Press BAND button (5) to change bands as below:
• SELECT STATION
Press MANU/SKIP buttons (7) or (6) to tune the frequency downward or upward by step. Hold it for fast tuning.
• PRESET PROGRAMME MEMORY
In radio mode, press MANU/SKIP buttons (7) or (6) to seek the desired frequency in the current band, then press MEM button (8) and “MEMORY” is flashing on the display, and press PSET/RPT button (15) to choose the memory number and press MEM button (8) again to store up the chosen station.
• CALLING UP THE STORED STATION
In radio mode, press PSET/RPT button (15) to call up the first stored station in current
band. Repeatedly pressing to call up the stored stations in current band in
turn.
• TIME SETTING
Press DISPLAY button (9) to change the display and the clock is showing on the display. Press MEM button (8) in clock display and the hour is flashing, press MANU/SKIP buttons (7) or (6) to adjust the hour. Press MEM button (8) once more in clock display and the minute is flashing, press MANU/SKIP buttons (7) or (6) to adjust the minute. Finally press MEM button (8) to store up the setting.

CD OPERATION
• DISC PLAY
Push a compact disc with the label side facing up into the disc slot (11) and you will hear a click sound. If no sound heard, the CD should be incorrectly inserted into the disc slot. (As figure shows) When there have correspondingly showing on the display, press button (13) to start playing the first track of the disc. The display will indicate the track number and playing time. During the playing, press button (13) to temporarily stop the playing or press button (14) to stop the playing. Press (eject) button (12) to eject CD from the slot. The unit switches to radio operation.
• SELECT TRACKS
In CD operation, press MANU/SKIP buttons (7) or (6) to move to the previous track or the following track. Track number shows on display. In CD operation, hold MANU/SKIP buttons (7) or (6) to fast reverse or fast forward. CD play starts from when you release the button.
• PRESET THE MEMORY PLAY
In CD operation, press button (14) to stop playing, press MEM button (8), there have correspondingly showing and “MEMORY” “TRACK” are flashing on the display. Then press MANU/SKIP buttons (7) or (6) to select the track. Press MEM button (8) again to store up the chosen track and next preset is ready. When the preset is finished, press button (13) again to start to memory playing.
Note: If pressing button (14), all program memory is cleared.
• REPEAT
In CD operation, press PSET/RPT button (15) to continuously repeat the same disc. Press once more to continuously repeat the same track. Press it at the third time to release the mode.
• PLAY IN RANDOM ORDER
In CD operation, press RND button (16) to play all tracks on current CD in random order. Press it again to cancel the function.
• PREVIEW ALL TRACKS
In CD operation, press button (14) to stop playing and press INT button (17) to play first several seconds of each track on current CD. Press again to stop intro and recover normal playing.

TROUBLE SHOOTING
Before going through the check list, check wiring connection. If any of the problems persist after check list has been made, consult your nearest service dealer.
