Maintenance Instructions
INSPECTION
When the equipment is received, all items should be carefully checked against the bill of lading
to insure all crates and cartons have been received. All units should be inspected for concealed
damage by uncrating the units immediately. If any damage is found, it should be reported to the
carrier at once, and a claim should be filed with the carrier. This equipment has been inspected
and tested in the manufacturing facility and has been crated in accordance with transportation
rules and guidelines. Manufacturer is not responsible for freight loss or damage.
INSTALLATION
GENERAL
Remove the unit crate and base. For the Reach-In and Pass-Thru models, locate the casters or
legs found in the interior of the cabinet. (Not applicable for Roll-In models). Attach the casters or
legs to the unit base by screwing them into the same threaded fittings that were used to secure
the crate base to the cabinet. Insure that the casters or legs are screwed all the way into the
base.
Once the cabinet is placed in its permanent location, the cabinet should be leveled from side to
side and front to back. If necessary, to level Reach-In and Pass-Thru models with casters,
washers can be placed on the threaded fitting before attaching the caster to the cabinet.
Loosening a caster, so that it is not screwed tightly to the base, should not be used as a means
to level the cabinet. For those models with legs, an adjustable style leg is used for leveling
purposes. There are no provisions for easily leveling the Roll-In models except by the use of
shims. Only minimal shimming is allowable. After a Roll-In model is leveled, it is required by
NSF that the cabinet be sealed to the floor with an approved sealant such as Dow Corning #732
silicone to prevent any contaminants from collecting under the unit.
If the doors are out of alignment on the cabinet, the doors can be adjusted. Opening the door(s)
and loosening the screws that hold both the top and bottom hinges to the cabinet can
accomplish this. After adjusting the door so that it is aligned correctly, tighten the screws to
securely hold the hinges in place.

ELECTRICAL
Check the proposed outlet to be used to insure that the voltage, phase, and current carrying
capacity of the circuit from the electrical panel correspond to the requirements of the cabinet, as
shown on the serial tag. NEVER use an extension cord to wire any unit. On permanently
connected units, those not furnished with a plug-in service cord, all inter-wiring between the
electrical panel and the unit must be done in accordance with the National Electric Code and all
state and local codes. Refer to the Serial Tag for all pertinent electrical information.
Observe all Warning Labels. Disconnect power supply to eliminate injury from electrical
shock or moving parts when servicing equipment.
GENERAL OPERATION
The Heated Reach-In, Pass-Thru, and Roll-In cabinets employ electrically operated heaters and
a programmable controller to control the temperature. The controller, which is located on the
facade of the unit, is factory set. Please see the default settings sheet and separate instructions
that are included on the operation of this controller. The heating element is located in the interior
ducting. The air ducts provide forced air distribution that maintains temperature uniformity
throughout the cabinet. These cabinets are designed to operate at 180° to 200°F. The
programmable controller is factory set with a maximum set point of 201°F. The temperature
control system is designed to cutout at 230°F to prevent the cabinet from exceeding its design
limitations.
GENERAL MAINTENANCE
PERIODIC CLEANING
Beginning with the initial installation, the interior surfaces of the cabinet should be
periodically wiped down with a solution of warm water and baking soda. This solution
will remove any odors from spillage that has occurred. The exterior of the cabinet
should also be cleaned frequently with a commercial grade of glass cleaner.
All moving parts have been permanently lubricated and will generally require no
maintenance.
SERVICE
Any correspondence pertaining to these cabinets should be directed to the Service
Department. Be sure to include the cabinet model number and serial number with
any correspondence.

INSPECCIÓN
Al llegar el equipo, se debe controlar cuidadosamente todos los elementos que se
consignan en el Conocimiento de embarque para constatar que se han recibido todos
los cajones y cajas. Todas las unidades deben ser inspeccionadas para comprobar que
no existan daños no evidentes. Para ello, las unidades deben ser desembaladas de
inmediato. Si se encuentra algún daño, éste debe ser informado al transportista de
inmediato, y al mismo tiempo presentarle el reclamo correspondiente. Este equipo ha
sido inspeccionado y probado en las instalaciones de y ha sido embalado conforme a
las reglas y lineamientos de transporte pertinentes. El fabricante no es responsable por
pérdida de o daño a la carga.
INSTALACIÓN
GENERAL
Quite el cajón y la base de la unidad. Para los modelos Reach- in (Todo Accesible) y
Pass-Thru (Acceso Adelante y Atrás), ubique las ruedecillas o patas que se encuentran
en el interior del gabinete. (Esto no se aplica a los modelos Roll-In (Rodantes ). Sujete
las ruedas o patas a la base de la unidad, atornillándolas a los mismos adaptadores
roscados que se usaron para asegurar la base del cajón al gabinete. Asegúrese que las
ruedecillas o patas estén atornilladas firmemente en la base.
Cuando el gabinete esté ubicado en su lugar permanente, debe ser nivelado de lado a
lado y de adelante hacia atrás. Si es necesario, para nivelar con las ruedecillas, en los
modelos Reach-In (Todo Accesible) y Pass-Thru (Acceso Adelante y Atrás), se deben
colocar las arandelas en los adaptadores roscados, antes de unir la ruedecilla al
gabinete. Dejar una ruedecilla floja de modo que no quede atornillada ajustadamente a
la base, no debe ser una forma de nivelar el gabinete. En los modelos con patas, se
usa una pata ajustable adecuada para nivelar. No hay ninguna previsión especial para
los modelos Roll-In (Rodantes) de fácil nivelado, excepto en lo que hace al uso de
calces. Se puede usar tan solo un calce mínimo. Luego de haber nivelado un modelo
Roll-In (Rodante), las NSF requieren que el gabinete quede sellado al piso con un
sellador aprobado, como por ejemplo la silicona Dow Corning #732 para evitar que se
acumule cualquier contaminante debajo de la unidad.
Si las puertas están fuera de alineación en el gabinete, éstas pueden ajustarse. Esto se
puede lograr abriendo las puertas y aflojando los tornillos que mantienen juntas las

bisagras de la parte superior e inferior del gabinete. Después de fijar la puerta y que
ésta quede correctamente alineada, ajuste los tornillos para que sujeten firmemente las
bisagras en su lugar.
ELÉCTRICO
Controle el tomacorriente que está destinado para ser usado en esta unidad a fin de
asegurarse que el voltaje, la fase y la capacidad de transporte de corriente del circuito
desde el panel eléctrico, satisface los requerimientos del gabinete tal como se muestra
en el rótulo de serie. NUNCA use un cable de extensión para conectar ninguna unidad.
En las unidades permanentemente conectadas, que no vienen ya provistas con
enchufe y cable de servicio, todo el inter-cableado entre el panel eléctrico y la unidad
debe hacerse conforme al Código nacional de electricidad y a todos los códigos
estatales y locales. Consulte la Tabla 2 y el Rótulo de serie para todo lo referente a
información sobre electricidad.
Observe los rótulos de advertencia. Al hacer el servicio del equipo, desconecte el
suministro de energía eléctrica para eliminar el riesgo de lesiones por descarga
eléctrica o por partes móviles.
OPERACIÓN GENERAL
Los gabinetes de Heated, Reach-In (Todo Accesible), Pass-Thru (Acceso Adelante y
Atrás), y Roll-In (Rodante) emplean calentadores eléctricos y un controlador
programable para administrar la temperatura. El controlador, que está ubicado en la
parte delantera de la unidad, se ajusta en fábrica. Vea la hoja de los parámetros
predeterminados y las instrucciones separadas que están incluidas para el
funcionamiento de este controlador. El elemento calentador está colocado en el
conducto interior. Los conductos de aire producen una distribución forzada de aire que
mantiene la uniformidad de la temperatura en todo el gabinete. Estos gabinetes están
diseñados para operar desde 82.2°C (180°F) hasta 93.3°C (200°F). El controlador
programable se ajusta en fábrica con un máximo punto de ajuste de 93.9°C (201ºF). El
sistema de control de temperatura está diseñado para desconectar a 110°C (230ºF)
para evitar que el gabinete exceda los límites de su diseño.
MAINTENIMIENTO GENERAL
LIMPIEZA PERIÓDICA
Comenzando con la instalación inicial, las superficies interiores del gabinete deben ser
limpiadas con una solución de agua tibia y bicarbonato de sodio. Esta solución quitará
cualquier olor de derrames que se hayan producido. El exterior del gabinete también
debe ser limpiado frecuentemente con un limpiavidrios de uso comercial.
Todas las partes móviles están ya lubricadas para duración permanente y en general
no necesitarán mantenimiento.
SERVICIO
Cualquier correspondencia referente a estos gabinetes debe ser dirigida al Service
Department. Asegúrese de incluir en cualquier correspondencia el número del modelo
de gabinete y el número de serie.
