Image press technology

Passing through the bizhub PRO 1600P/2000P/2500P
on a short and straight paper path, prints are put
under considerably less strain, as the image press
technology liquefies the toner while it is transferred
to the paper. At the same time the system’s innovative
processing technology requires only a single fusing
process at low temperature, which again means
less wear on the prints. As a result, duplex printing
without loss of speed is possible not just for
paper grammages of up to 270 gsm but also
for an extensive range of special, embossed and
structured media.

One pass duplex technology

The bizhub PRO 1600P/2000P/2500P feature a
unique one pass duplex technology that provides a
previously unattainable performance. This singular
production technology is based on two engines
that simultaneously print on the front and the
reverse side of a sheet. Each engine works at the
system speed of up to 125 sheets per minute,
which combines to the bizhub PRO 2500P’s top
production speed of 250 images per minute (ipm).
With up to 200 ipm and up to 160 ipm respectively,
the performance of the bizhub PRO 2000P and
bizhub PRO 1600P is equally impressive.
