between10°Cand40°Cbeforechargingit.

Foron-deckcharging,usethecNODEbattery
chargeronly .

Neverchargethebatteryunattended.

Context

AlwaysconnectthecNODEbatterychargerto
thecNODEMiniSbeforeconnectingthecNODE
batterychargertothemains(110or220VAC).

Thebatterymustbefullychargedbeforelong
termstorageanditisrecommendedtorecharge
thebatteryevery6monthstomakesurethe
batterydoesnotdischargeovertime.

Requiredbatterystatefortransportationis
30%orlessremainingcapacitytocomplywith
regulations.

Procedure

1Switchoffthetransponder.

2Lettheunitwarmuporcooldowntoan

ambienttemperatureof10°Cto40°C
beforecharging.

3ConnectthecNODEbatterychargerplug

(B)totheconnectoronthecNODEMiniS
markedCHARGE(C).

4ConnectthecNODEbatterycharger(A)to

mains(110or220V AC).

5Removethepowercordaftercharging,

beforeremovingtheconnectorfromthe
cNODEMiniS.

Result

TheLEDindicatoronthechargerashesgreen
whencharging.Itnormallytakesabout30
secondsbeforethechargingstartsandtheLED
indicatorstartsashinggreenafterconnectingthe
cNODEbatterychargertothemains.Thebattery
willbechargedwithin1hour.TheLEDindicator
willstaygreenwhenfullycharged.

Thetransponderisthenreadyforuse.

TurningonthecNODEMiniS

Thetransponderisdesignedforoperationin
wateronly.Thetranspondermaybeoperatedin
airfortestpurposesoverashortperiodoftime.

2Tightenthelockingsleevetotheendcap

connector.

Result

Abuzzcanbeheardwithin25secondsasa
conrmationthatthetransponderisactivated.

Itisrecommendedtotestthetransponderwith
theTestandCongurationunit(TTC)tomake
surethetransponderisworkingproperlybefore
operation.

Prerequisites

Thetranspondermustbechargedbeforeuse.

Procedure

1Usethecablewithpartnumber402462from

Kongsberg.

2Connectwire6and8inthepigtail(the

ON/OFFfunction).

When6-8arelinked,thetransponderisON.

Withnoconnectionbetween6-8,the
transponderisOFF.

3Makesurethattheexternalpowersupply24

VDCisbetween20and28VDC.

4Checktherespondertriggersignal.

5SwitchONtheunitbyinsertingtheexternal

power/respondercable.
