Proper use
The safety magnet lock is intended for locking drawers and doors of small furniture (min. door thickness 12,7 mm). It is not for securing house doors or other heavy doors. It is not intended for use in commercial or industrial areas
Safety instructions
Do not store the magnetic parts of
the magnet lock near credit cards, video cassettes or audio cassettes. This leads to irreparable damaging of the magnetic strips and tape!
This magnet lock cannot guarantee
100% safety. Never leave your children unsupervised for long! Observe whether your children are capable of opening the magnet lock.
Assembly
Note: Do not drill through the letters
in the installation template
q
, always drill through the marking (X). Please note that when installing the safety magnet lock in drawers, a free space of 4 x 6 cm is required.
For surface-mounted doors / drawers
1a. Remove the narrow sticker
from the installation template
q
and stick it onto an appropriate place on the cabinet inside wall (see Fig. 1). When installing the lock in drawers, place the installati­on template
q
on the upper insi­de drawer wall at the height of the grip or knob.
1b. Fold the installation template
q
around the corner at the fold line
and mark the two screw holes
(X) for the lock plate rwith a sharp object (such as a nail). Pull off the back of the sticker
.
2. Press the door or drawer hard against the sticker
. When the
door / drawer is opened, the instal­lation template
q
will have been transferred to the correct location for further installation.
3. Smooth out the installation tem­plate
q
and mark four of the six
screw holes
(X) (two above and
two below) for the lock
w
(see Fig. 2). Continue with Step 4.
For inset doors / drawers
1a. Measure the door thickness
(depth) / thickness of the drawer front. Draw the new markings for the screw holes of the lock plate

onto the installation template q: To do this, move the markings along the dotted arrow line by the measured door thickness, starting from the screw holes

Make certain that the new markings are situated parallel to the
screw holes
(X).
Remove the narrow sticker
from the installation template
q
and stick it with the fold line
onto an appropriate place on the cabinet inside wall (see Fig. 1). When installing the lock in dra­wers, place the installation templa­te
q
on the upper inside drawer wall at the height of the grip or knob.
1b. Mark the two new
screw holes for
the lock plate
r
with a sharp object (such as a nail). While closing the door, mark the position of the instal­lation template
q
on the narrow part of the inside of the door using a pencil. Carefully remove the installa­tion template
q
from the inside ca-
binet wall.
2.
Pull off the back of the sticker . Stick the installation template
q
onto the previously marked position, flush against the inside edge of the door using the sticker
(see Fig. 2).
3. Smooth out the installation tem­plate
q
and mark four of the six
screw holes
(X) (two above and
two below) for the lock

4. Slide the drilling depth limiter
u
onto the 7 mm drill bit based on the door thickness so that the drilled hole will reach to 3 mm from the front of the door / drawer (Fig. 3). Check the drilling depth on the ou­ter edge of the door.
5.
Set the drill against the inside of the door / drawer on the marking
(X)
7 mm on the installation template

(see Fig. 3) and drill the hole until the drilling depth limiter
u
rests against
the inside of the door /
.
Do not drill through the door / drawer! The drilling depth limiter
u
must not be allowed to slide while drilling!
6. Remove the drilling dust from the hole. Check whether the magnet connector of the lock wfits perfectly into the hole with the T-insert
o
(see Fig. 4). For thinner
doors, leave out the T-insert
o
.
7.
Screw the lock plate rinto the cabinet inside wall at the previously marked lo­cation using the enclosed screws
i
(Fig. 5). For drawer installation, it is re­commended to take the drawer out of the cabinet first. This offers you more space to work.
8. Screw the lock wonto the inside of the door / drawer at the marked loca­tion (see Fig. 5) (for thick doors / drawers, use the T-insert
o
and if
necessary the extension insert
y
(Fig. 4)). Check the function of the lock from the outside of the door. Close the door and check the lock. If necessary, correct the position of the lock plate
r
by slightly loosening
the screws and sliding the lock plate
r
using the long holes.
For double doors without a middle board
Mount the magnet lock on the top or bottom of the cabinet.
Tip:
Place a marking sticker
a
on the out­side of the door to find the correct place to use the magnet key
e
more
quickly. Always place the maget key
e
at an agreed location near the se­cured door / drawer. Do not keep the mag-net key
e
in a clothing pocket and never inside the cabinet being secured.
Unlocking bar
If you do not wish to use the lock, you can permanently unlock the lock with the unlocking bar
t
.
Press the unlocking bar
t
over the
lock
w
so that the pins snap into the holes first on one side, then on the other side. The writing "UNLOCK" must face forward. Press the lock latch closed and turn the unlocking bar
t
forward until
reaching the stop (see Fig. 6).
To lock the door, make certain that the unlocking bar
t
is turned back
(see Fig. 7).
Disposal
Do not throw the magnet lock into normal household waste.
Dispose of the magnet lock through an approved waste disposal company or your community disposal facility. Observe the currently applicable regu­lations. In case of doubt, please contact your waste disposal centre.

This product comes with a 3-year warranty as of the date of purchase. Please keep your receipt as proof of purchase. Please contact your local service centre regarding warranty issues.
