Your Kohler Furniture

Your furniture, countertops, and lavatories are designed to be functional and attractive as well as adaptive to your room and wall space. Your furniture components can be arranged into almost endless combinations to complement your style. Some example conﬁgurations are illustrated above. Your furniture components consist of one or more of the following:

•

Mirrored Cabinet - may house a fountain-action Laminar faucet that projects a ﬂume of water into a lavatory. Cabinets are available with slide-out shelving, swinging front doors, stationary faucet component access doors, electrical outlets, and/or adjustable shelving, and may be joined together in the combination that best suits your needs.

•

Wall-Mounted Cabinet and Vanity - undercounter or stand-alone cabinets and vanities are designed to hang suspended above the ﬂoor. Cabinets and vanities are made of hardwood veneers and come equipped with storage drawers on high-quality slides.

Lavastone Countertop - made of natural volcanic lava, the natural gray surface features natural variations, markings, and quartz deposits. Countertops are bracketed to the wall and/or rest on wall-mounted cabinets and vanities.

•

Above-Counter Lavatory - available as wet surface or wading basin with an optional open- or closed-bottom porcelain hand basin. Fireclay or marble lavatories may be positioned on wall-mounted brackets or a lavastone countertop.

Care and Cleaning

Lavastone Countertops

•

Your lavastone countertop consists of a natural material more porous than granite or marble. A stone sealer has been applied to this surface to aid in its stain resistance.

•

Use cleaners and detergents with a soft cloth or a soft brush to clean the surface.

•

Do not use steel wool, course scouring pads, or sandpaper as they will dull the surface.

•

Clean up spills immediately.

•

In the event of a stain, use acetone to aid in its removal. Immediately follow with an application of stone sealant.

•

This product requires annual applications of a stone sealer. Contact a marble or stone specialty shop or Kohler Company for recommended sealers.

Brass

•

Like anything of lasting quality, Kohler brass ﬁttings require a certain amount of periodic care to preserve their lustrous ﬁnish. Clean your new Kohler brass ﬁttings with a mild soap, rinse thoroughly with warm water and dry with a clean, soft cloth. The ideal cleaning technique is to always blot dry any water from metal surfaces. Allowing water to evaporate on metal will form water deposits. It is important to use a dabbing action to dry metal, not an abrasive or rubbing action.

•

Never use cleaners containing abrasive cleansers, ammonia, bleach, acids, or chemicals that can damage the ﬁnish. By taking the time to dry your ﬁttings often, soap and water deposits can be prevented.

If your chrome or Vibrant dirty, consider using the following cleaners: Windex

Fantastik

All Purpose, Spic and Span Pine Liquid, or Mr. Clean

color/ﬁnish ﬁttings get excessively

Springtime Fresh Scent. For solid color ﬁttings, consider using these cleaners: Fantastik

All Purpose, Spic and Span Pine Liquid,

or Mr. Clean Springtime Fresh Scent.

•

Failure to comply with these cleaning instructions may void Kohler’s warranty obligations.

Vitreous China and Fireclay

•

Clean the outside surface of your vitreous china or ﬁreclay product with mild soap and warm water. Wipe the entire surface completely dry with a clean, soft cloth. You may use soft abrasive cleaners when necessary to clean your ﬁxture. Do not use strong abrasive cleaners, as they will scratch and dull the surface.

•

If the surface becomes excessively dirty, use a general purpose cleaner such as: Fantastik Tile Cleaner, Soft Scrub Bathroom Cleaner, Clorox Clean-Up Comet

Liquid Bathroom Cleaner, Scrubbing Bubbles®Bathroom

Cleaner, Bar Keeper’s Friend

All Purpose, Lysol®Basin, Tub and

Multi Purpose, Scrub Free®Disinfectant

, or Bon Ami®.

, Spic and Span Liquid,

Marble

NOTE: Application of a stone sealer will help make natural stone surfaces less porous and more resistant to stains (stone sealer will not make the surface stain proof).

•

Marble is a natural stone, thus its color and pattern can vary greatly. Each marble surface has its own distinct characteristics. This individuality makes each marble ﬁxture a unique and original addition to your home.

•

If a marble surface is given the proper care, it will retain its beauty and durability. Without regular cleaning, dust particles can settle on marble and can be ground into the surface and cause damage. Wash marble regularly with fresh warm water and a clean non-abrasive cloth. Add a neutral (ph balanced) cleaner to help remove dirt and grime.

•

Avoid detergents that can be abrasive and contain chemicals high in acid or alkaline. Petroleum (or oils such as animal fat) can darken natural stone and leave a residue which, over time, can build up and turn yellow. This buildup is difficult to remove.

Give marble the same attention you give to ﬁne wood. Use coasters under all drink containers. Wipe up stains immediately. Do not allow heated items to come into contact with the marble surface. To protect against scratches, use felt, leather, or cork under all items placed on the marble surface.

Stainless Steel

•

Rinse your stainless steel ﬁxture thoroughly after each use, and use a dabbing action to dry with a clean, soft cloth. Clean stainless steel once a week.

•

Always apply stainless steel cleaner/polish with a nonabrasive cloth or sponge, working with, not across the grain. Do not use steel wool, wire brushes or abrasive pads to clean your ﬁxture.

•

If you use cleaners containing chlorides, be sure to rinse the surface immediately after you clean it to avoid corrosion. Do not allow cleaners to remain in contact with the stainless steel surface for long periods of time.

•

If the surface becomes excessively dirty, consider using baking soda, or a general purpose cleaner such as: Top Job with Ammonia, Spic and Span Liquid; Fantastik 409

All Purpose, or Lysol®Anti-Bacterial Kitchen CleanerTM.

•

To clean stainless steel colored ﬁnishes, rinse the surface

All Purpose, Formula

thoroughly after each use, and use a dabbing action to dry with a clean, soft cloth. Do not use an abrasive or rubbing action, as that may scratch or dull the ﬁnish. If your stainless steel colored ﬁnish becomes excessively dirty, consider cleaning with Dow Scrubbing Bubbles

Liquid or Bleach Free Soft Scrub®. Never use cleaners

containing abrasive cleansers, ammonia, acids, waxes, alcohol, or solvents on this surface, as they may damage the ﬁnish.

Wood Furniture

•

One of the advantages of wood furniture is the ease of cleaning. As with any smooth surface, avoid using abrasive cleaners as they will scratch the surface. Wipe the wood surface regularly to prevent buildup of soap and scum.

•

To protect against scratches, use felt, leather, or cork under all items placed on the marble surface. Do not expose wood furniture to direct sunlight, drying heat sources, or dampness.

•

Dust frequently with a soft cloth in the direction of the grain. Use only products speciﬁcally made for cleaning wood. Avoid using oily polishes or waxes, or products containing silicone. Blot spills immediately with a soft, damp cloth.

Every six months remove soil buildup by rubbing with a soft cloth dampened in a 50/50 solution of warm water and an ammonia-free detergent. Wipe clean with a cloth dampened in warm water and then wipe dry.

•

Consider the following cleaners for cleaning your wood furniture: Orange Glo

TM Wood Cleaner and Polish, and Scott’s Liquid GoldTM

Wood Cleaner and Preservative.

Glass and Mirror Surfaces

•

Do not use bristle brushes or abrasive sponges on glass or mirror surfaces.

•

Never use abrasive cleaners.

•

Products to consider for use when cleaning your glass or mirror surface include: Formula 409 Glass Plus

, and Windex®Original.

One-Year Limited Warranty — USA and Canada

KOHLER®plumbing ﬁxtures, faucets and ﬁttings are warranted to be free of defects in material and workmanship for one year from date of installation.

Kohler Co. will, at its election, repair, replace or make appropriate adjustment where Kohler Co. inspection discloses any such defects occurring in normal usage within one year after installation. Kohler Co. is not responsible for removal or installation costs.

Implied warranties including that of merchantability and ﬁtness for a particular purpose are expressly limited in duration to the duration of this warranty, Kohler Co. disclaims any liability for special, incidental or consequential damages. Some states/provinces do not

allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, or the exclusion or limitation of special, incidental or consequential damages so these limitations and exclusions may not apply to you. This warranty gives you speciﬁc legal rights. You may also have other rights which vary from state/province to state/province.

One-Year Warranty — Mexico

KOHLER CO. It is recommended that at the time of purchase, you verify that all

accessories and components are complete in this package. This Kohler product is warranted to be free of defects in material and

workmanship for one (1) year from the date of purchase as shown on the invoice or receipt.

1. Kohler Co. will only service its commercialized products through its authorized distributors.

2. To obtain warranty service, please present the invoice and corresponding warranty.

3. Through its authorized distributors, Kohler Co. promises to repair the defective product or provide a new replacement or an equivalent model (in those cases that the model has been discontinued) when the product is beyond repair, without any charge to the consumer.

4. The time of repair will not exceed six (6) weeks commencing on the date the product is received.

5. It is recommended that the consumer save the invoice or receipt as additional protection, as it may substitute the warranty in the case that there is a discrepancy in the validity of the warranty.

EXCEPTIONS AND RESTRICTIONS The Warranty will not be valid in the following cases:

1. When the product is not operated in accordance with the instructions concerning use and operation set forth in the owner’s manual or installation instructions, and when the recommendations and warnings included are not observed.

2. When the product has been modiﬁed or dismantled partially or totally; or has been used in a negligent fashion and as a consequence has suffered damages attributable to the consumer, individual, or
