Installation Instructions

for the

ANTI-STATIC KIT

on the

Kodak X-Omat 480 RA PROCESSOR

Purpose: To reduce the static charge on film fed through the EXIT ROLLERS.

Installation Time: one hour

[2] De-energize the PROCESSOR.

• 8 bottom AIR TUBES

• 8 bottom ROLLERS

[5] Remove the 2 EXIT ROLLERS.
[6] Remove the SUPPORT BRACKET.

Caution

•Donot remove the HEX SCREW until Step 9.

• Be careful not to bend the GUIDE SHOE in the following steps.

[7] Remove and discard the SCREW, LOCK WASHER, and WASHER from the GUIDE SHOE.

[8] Install the new SCREW 852971 (#6-32 x 0.750.)

[9] Remove the HEX SCREW from the GUIDE SHOE.
[10] Place the ANTI-STATIC BRUSH assembly between the GUIDE SHOE and the ROLLER.
[11] Install the HEX SCREW.

[12] Install the following hardware on the new SCREW:

• FLAT WASHER 852614, large inner diameter (i.d.)

• FLAT WASHER 779051, small inner diameter (i.d.)

• LOCK WASHER 853093

• NUT 852620

Caution

• The ANTI-STATIC BRUSH assembly must be seated parallel to the GUIDE SHOE.

• The ANTI-STATIC BRUSH assembly must not make contact with the ROLLER.

• The BRUSH HAIRS must not be bent.

• To straighten bent BRUSH HAIRS, place your finger between the BRUSH assembly and the ROLLER.

Carefully, move your finger across the BRUSH HAIRS.
[13] Check that the ANTI-STATIC BRUSH assembly is installed correctly.
[14] Install the SUPPORT BRACKET.
[15] Install the 2 EXIT ROLLERS you removed in Step 5.

[16] Fasten the ground wire to the SCREW on the

ELECTRICAL BOX.

[17] Install the

• 8 ROLLERS

• 8 AIR TUBES

Warning

• Dangerous voltage.

• Moving parts.

[18] Connect the main power.
[19] Energize the PROCESSOR.

Caution

The ANTI-STATIC BRUSH must not interfere with
the correct operation of the PROCESSOR.

[20] Check that the PROCESSOR operates correctly

and that the films stack correctly.

[21] Disconnect the main power.
[22] De-energize the PROCESSOR.
[23] Install the

• RECEIVING END ACCESS PANEL

• DRYER PANEL

[24] Connect the main power.
[25] Energize the PROCESSOR.
