Installation
Purpose
If chemistry drains slowly from the bottles, because the PIERCER in Kodak AUTOMIXER II or
AUTOMIXER II Plus does not pierce the cap and seal completely, you will need to install the
following parts:

Installing the new PIERCER Parts to an AUTOMIXER II Plus
Important
These parts improve piercing of the cap and seal of the chemistry bottles, do NOT remove the existing
PIERCERS.
Warning
Dangerous Voltage
1. De-energize and disconnect the main power from the AUTOMIXER.

2. Open the TOP COVERS and remove any empty BOTTLES, that may be inserted into the MIXER.

2. Install INSERT onto the PIERCER used for BOTTLE “A” for DEVELOPER and FIXER, making
sure to align the opening over the moveable blade. Make sure tabs on INSERT lock underneath the
PIERCER
2. Close the TOP COVERS.
3. Energize the AUTOMIXER and check for correct operation.

Installing the new PIERCER Parts to an AUTOMIXER II
Important
These parts improve piercing of the cap and seal of the chemistry bottles, do NOT remove the existing
PIERCERS.
Warning

1. De-energize and disconnect the main power from the AUTOMIXER.
2. Open the TOP COVERS and remove any empty BOTTLES, that may be inserted into the MIXER.
Caution
New blades have sharp points, use extreme caution when handling and installing!
3. Install the 2 interlocking new blades over the existing PIERCERS used for BOTTLE “A” for
DEVELOPER and FIXER.

4. Close the TOP COVERS.
5. Energize the AUTOMIXER and check for correct operation.
