1.1 Host system requirements for
DN32-USB interface expansion card

Check kla rkteknik.com f or updates of DN32-USB  rmware or

1.2 The KLARK TEKNIK DN32-USB
High-Performance 32-Channel
24-Bit USB Audio Interface

The DN32-USB opti on card provides MIDA S M32 consoles with
32 channel, bi- directiona l audio I/O and MIDI via USB 2.0 ser ial bus
for Mac or Wi ndows-based app lications. The sim ultaneous 32-in,
32-out audio c hannels enable for ex tremely power ful studio and
live applic ations. You can run vir tual live sound che cks or 32-track
high-q uality studio r ecordings, whilea t the same time remot e
operati ng your DAW via HUI/Mackie Contr ol emulation. The hig h
speed 24-b it signal transmis sion and ultra-lo w latency ASIO
drivers a nd CoreAudio compat ibility even allow in serting audio
plugins on y our PC to perfor m advanced outbo ard processing.

1.3 Con guring the DN32-USB option
card for use in the console

The consol e will automatical ly detect the DN32-USB op tion card
during th e regular boot cyc le, and it will display th e card’s
presence i n several instances .

The green s quare in front of “C: USB ” indicates that the c ard is
install ed and working pro perly.

2. Installing a KLARK TEKNIK
InterfaceCard

Before y ou install an I/O card t o the expansion slo t of the console,
you must ch eck the KLARK TEKNIK we bsite to verify wh ether the
console su pports that c ard.

CAUTION: Before inst alling optional I/O c ards into the conso le,
you must make s ure that the console ’s power switc h is turned o .
Malfunc tions or elec trical shock may o ccur otherwis e.

To install an interface I/O card:

1. Make sure that t he mixer’s power is turne d o .

2. Loosen th e screws that fas ten the slot, then remove t he slot
cover and keep i t in a safe place.

3. Before r emoving the DN32-USB card f rom its protec tive bag,
it is recom mended to touch the g rounded metal ch assis of
the conso le to prevent elect rostatic discharges a ecting the
sensiti ve electronic co mponents. It is ge nerally a good idea
to hold the c ard either by the fac e plate or by the two small
handles, bu t never touching the co mponents on the ci rcuit
board dir ectly.

4. Align both e dges of the card wi th the guide rails ins ide the
slot and car efully inser t the card into the slo t. Push the card
all the way int o the slot to ensure that t he contacts of t he
card are co rrectly inse rted into the conn ector inside.

5. Fasten the ca rd using the include d screws. Be aware t hat
damage or mal functions may o ccur if the card is
not fast ened.

3. Con guring the PC to Interface
with the DN32-USB Option Card

Driver Control Panels

Once the dr iver is installed, yo u can open the contro l panel by
double- clicking on the sm all tray icon. These s creens will allow
con guring the DN32-USB exp ansion card in the M32 as a n audio
interf ace for your comput er.
