Setup Procedure
Warning – either mute th e mixer channel, lower th e volume all the way, or turn o the speaker syste m before making con nections.
1. Connec t a fairly short b alanced XLR cable (<30 feet) f rom the micropho ne to the input of your Mi c Booster. Note that pha ntom power
cannot be p assed to condense r mics, and theref ore they shouldn't b e used along with a mi c booster unit.
2. Connect the o utput of the Mic Boo ster to a mixer, preamp, or int erface via balan ced XLR cable. Long c able runs can be use d for
this conne ction if neces sary, but high quali ty XLR cables wit h low capacitanc e are recommended t o avoid high frequen cy degradatio n.
3. Engage phantom power on the mixer or other receiving equipment.
4. Check the gain s etting on the rec eiving channel of yo ur mixer or interf ace since the signal wi ll be much greater tha n typical mic leve ls.
