Location Requirements
Style 1 - Top Mount Sinks
■ The sink installation must comply with the national and local
plumbing codes and ordinances.
■ As with all metal objects, follow proper handling techniques to
avoid product damage.
■ This sink should be examined for damage prior to installation.
Do not install a damaged sink. Return the sink to the dealer
from whom you purchased it. Failure to do so will void the
warranty.
Plumbing Requirements
Sink should be plumbed to local plumbing codes.
All plumbing connections should be made by licensed, qualified
plumbers.
Countertop Requirements
The thickness of the countertop must not be more than 1¹⁄₂" thick
at the sink rim.
Solid surface countertop installations must be performed by a
qualified fabricator/installer with appropriate tools.
Location Requirements
Style 2 - Undermount Sinks
■ The sink installation must comply with the national and local
plumbing codes and ordinances.
■ As with all metal objects, follow proper handling techniques to
avoid product damage.
■ This sink should be examined for damage prior to enclosure/
installation. Do not install a damaged sink. Return the sink to
the dealer from whom you purchased it. Failure to do so will
void the warranty.
■ Installation of this undermount sink is based on “sandwiching”
the rim of the sink between the sink clamps and countertop.
■ Aesthetics are essential to presentation of the installed sink.
Ensure that the exposed silicone joint is kept to a minimum,
the sink is properly aligned to the cutout, and the excess
silicone is cleaned from the sink.
INSTALLATION
INSTRUCTIONS
Style 1 - Top Mount Sinks
Cutout Countertop:
1. Locate template in sink package.
NOTE: If no template is provided, contact KitchenAid™. See
“Assistance or Service” section.
2. Cut template out for desired top mount installation.
■ Tape template in desired position on the underside of
countertop surface.
■ Trace around the template for sink cutout and drill holes.
3. Use drill bit size according to hardware manufacturer's
mounting requirements to drill holes for screws (not provided).
4. Remove the template.
5. Drill a ³⁄₈" pilot hole on the inside edge of the line that was
traced onto the countertop. Set jigsaw blade into the pilot hole
and cut along the outline traced on the countertop.
Prepare the Sink:
1. Remove any film, plastic bag and/or tape from the sink.
Check Sink Fit/Adjust:
