IHPORTANT: Before you call for service, check the list of problems and solutions below:
I. Sparkling Beverage Haker does
not work:
You might be out of C02; replace your
C02 Carbonator by exchanging it for a
full SodaStream 60 L C02 Carbonator.
Check that the carbonating bottle has
been filled up with water to the fill line.
Ensure that the Sparkling Beverage Maker
is always in the upright position.
" CO2 Carbonator may be loose. Do
not use tools. Detach the bottle, open
the rear cover, and retighten the CO2
Carbonator. Apply firm pressure but do not over tighten. If the CO2 Carbonator is already firmly in place, it may be empty. Replace with a full 60 L SodaStream CO_
Carbonator.
_WARN|NG: Use caution when removing carbonator as it may be very cold.
2. Cannot pull bottle loader tab:
Make sure carbonation lever is in its fully upward position.
Pull bottle loader tab firmly towards you.
3. Cannot install the carbonating bottle:
Make sure the carbonation lever is in its
fully upward position.
Pull the bottle loader tab toward you until it clicks.
Insert bottle into Snap-Lock
Push bottle up and back until it locks.
4. You hear CO2 escaping from the bottle during carbonation:
Bottle may not be properly attached.
Allow the Sparkling Beverage Maker
to finish the carbonation process and then you can detach the bottle and
reconnect it following the instructions in the "Making sparkling water" section.
It is normal to hear a small amount
of CO2 discharge at the end of the carbonating process.
5. You want to re-carbonate a drink that was already carbonated:
_WARNING: Never carbonate again
after you have added the flavor. You may recarbonate only unflavored sparkling water.
6. If your Sparkling Beverage Haker
continues to release CO2 after
carbonation is finished:
_WARNING: Do not remove the cylinder
or the bottle. Leave the Sparkling Beverage Maker in an upright position. Do not touch it until you no longer hear CO2 escaping.
When the Sparkling Beverage Maker is
no longer releasing CO2, remove the carbonating bottle, and call for service. See "Warranty" section for more
information.
16
7. You hear C02 escaping from the Carbonator:
There may be a pressure leak between the CO_ Carbonator holder and the valve.
Screw the CO2 Carbonator tighter into its fitting. Do not use tools.
8. If you experience poor carbonation:
If you have not yet added flavor, try to carbonate to a higher carbonation level.
Check the CO_ Carbonator. You might be out of CO2.
Make sure that you are carbonating chilled water.
9. Water overflows from the carbonating
bottle during carbonation:
* Check that the carbonating bottle is filled
just to the fill line.
o Verify that the carbonating bottle is firmly
installed in the Snap-Lock. Check by gently pulling the bottom of the bottle. [f it feels
loose, then remove and reinsert.
I 0. If your sparkling drink is not
flavorful enough:
Just add more flavor to taste.
Do not re-carbonate after adding
the flavor.
I Small pieces of ice appear in the
water during carbonation:
This might happen when carbonating very cold water. If this happens, shorten the time of each press until the ice stops appearing or it can affect the carbonation. Any ice created will simply melt.
Ice can form and restrict the flow of
CO2 into the bottle during repeated heavy carbonation. Allow a few minutes between carbonating several bottles to
maintain normal carbonation time.
_,WARNING: If you suspect your Sparkling Beverage Maker is damaged, stop using it immediately and call for service. See "Warranty" section for more
information.
12. The gauge is not working: You may need to replace the batteries as
shown in the "Care and Cleaning'" section.
