The KICKER Solo Classic subwoofers are built to bring you the best quality bass in a limited space, such as behind the seat of your truck or in the hatchback of your car, leaving you with plenty of storage space while offering high-performance and high-SPLs in smaller, sealed enclosures.
WIRING
Solo Classic subwoofers are available with dual 2 (ohm) or dual 4 voice coils. Both coils must be connected to a source of amplifi cation. The dual 2 woofer will generate a 1 load if the coils are wired in parallel (make certain that your amp is 1 stable) or a 4 load if wired in series. The dual 4 woofer will provide a 2 load when wired in parallel or an 8 load when wired in series. The terminals with the white dots are for the fi rst voice coil. The terminals with the solid-red and solid-black markings are for the second voice coil. See Figures 1 and 2.

SEALED ENCLOSURE APPLICATIONS
The Solo Classic is designed to be used solely with smaller, sealed enclosures and will generate more sound pressure than any competing subwoofer on the market. The outlined sealed enclosure designs give the smoothest response with increased energy at the lowest frequencies, 20 to 30Hz. These designs deliver large amounts of highly-accurate bass and can be driven with punishing levels of amplifi er power.
All the cubic feet (L) measurements in this manual include the displacement of the woofer. Do not make the airspace greater than the recommended enclosure volume, as damage may occur. If you prefer an ultra-smooth bass response, you should loosely fi ll your Solo Classic enclosure with poly-fi l stuffi ng. The use of poly-fi l will slightly decrease effi ciency, but will deepen and extend the low frequency output.
Use 3/4” (1.9cm) or thicker MDF (medium density fi berboard) and seal the joints with silicone. Use the “template” inside your Solo Classic’s shipping carton to mark the mounting hole, then cut directly on the line. These designs need internal bracing. Add triangular bracing between each of the larger unsupported panels, making certain to account for the added volume displacement. See Figure 3.

Les subwoofers (haut-parleurs de graves) Solo Classic KICKER sont conçus pour apporter la meilleure qualité de graves dans un espace confi né, comme derrière le siège d’un camion ou bien dans le haillon arrière d’une voiture, laissant un grand volume de rangement tout en proposant des hautes performances et des pressions acoustiques élevées dans des enceintes hermétiques de petit format.
CÂBLAGE
Les subwoofers Solo Classic sont disponibles avec deux bobines de 2 (ohms) ou deux bobines de 4 (ohms). Les deux bobines doivent être connectées à une source d’amplifi cation. Le woofer à 2 bobines de 2 génère une charge d’un si les bobines sont câblées en parallèle (s’assurer que l’ampli est stable à 1) ou une charge de 4 si elles sont câblées en série. Le subwoofer à deux bobines de 4 génère, lui, une charge de 2 avec un câble en parallèle ou une charge de 8 avec un câblage en série. Les bornes repérées ar des points blancs sont réservées à la première bobine. Les bornes repérées par des traits rouges et des traits noirs sont réservées à la seconde bobine.
