aptX is a special method to handle audio over Bluetooth that enables higher quality audio than available on standard Bluetooth connections. aptX allows a lossless audio transfer from a device to a speaker that is enabled with aptX.
To use aptX your source device must have aptX; then you simply pair the devices as you do with any Bluetooth devices and the two devices will automatically determine that they both have aptX and if so will transfer audio via the aptX codec. It is important to note that aptX needs to be supported on both sides of the Bluetooth connection. To determine if a Bluetoothenabled device supports aptX, just look for the aptX logo on the product or its packaging, or you may fi nd it listed under the device’s Bluetooth settings.
