De-Scaling Your Brewer
Mineral conten t in water varies from place to plac e. Depending on the miner al content of the water in yo ur area, calcium deposits o r scale may build up in your Brewer. Scale is non-toxi c, but left unattende d, it can hinder Brewer per formance. De-sc aling your Brewer helps m aintain the heating sys tem and other internal par ts of the Brewer t hat come in contac t with water.
The Brewer should be de-scaled ever y three to six months to ensure optimal performance. It is po ssible for calcium deposit s to build up faster, making it necess ary
to de-sc ale more often.
The de-scale pro cess requires the Brewer to stand for at least 4 hour s. During this period, the Brewer should not be used to b rew beverages.
Prepare
Step 1 To begin, you will need:
• At least 48 o unces of undiluted white vin egar
• A large ceramic mug, at le ast 10 oz. (do not use a paper cup)
Step 2 Empty the water in t he Water Reservoir. Step 3 Disable “Auto Of f” mode (refer to pag es 15).
Fill & Clean

Step 3 Repeat t he process until “Ple ase Add Water” is indicat ed. Step 4 L et the Brewer stand for at le ast 4 hours while still on. Step 5 Discard the remainin g vinegar from the Water Rese rvoir and rinse the Re servoir
thoroughly. Remov e the empty Vue™ pack from the Br ewer.
Rinse
Step 1 Ensure the Wate r Reservoir is f illed with fresh water. Step 2 Place a large mug on the Dr ip Tray Plate and r un a cleansing brew. Pour the
