More specific safeguards are located before the operating instructions of each attachment. When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed including the following:
Read all instructions. To protect against risk of electric shock do not put the Power Unit in water or other liquid. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children. Unplug from outlet when not in use before putting on or taking off parts and before cleaning. Avoid contacting moving parts. Keep hands, hair, clothing, as well as spatulas and other utensils away from the beaters during operation to reduce the risk of injury to persons/and or damage to the mixer. Do not operate any appliances with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions or is dropped or damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the nearest authorised service facility for examination, repair or electrical or mechanical adjustment. Remove beaters from mixer before washing. The use of attachments not recommended or sold by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock or injury. Do not use more than one attachment at a time. Do not use outdoors. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter. Never leave your Food Preparation Machine unattended while it is operating. This appliance is for household use only.

Do not allow the bowl to be exposed to direct heat (ie do not dry over a stove or in the oven). Do not use the bowl in the microwave.

Switch off and unplug before fitting or removing tools/attachments, after use and before cleaning. Keep your fingers away from moving parts and fitted attachments. Never leave the machine on unattended and keep children away from it. Never use a damaged machine. Get it checked or repaired: see ‘service’, page
