Before First Use
1. Place Deep Fryeron a dry,level,stable, heat-resistantsurfacesuch
as a countertoportable.Keepawayfrom countertopedge.
IMPORTANT: The magnetic cord was designed to detach easily from
the fryer. As a result, if it is bumped or touched during use it coutd possibly
detach causing the unit to stop heating. Avoid contact with cord during
operation. If contact occurs, verify that the cord is st I properly connected.
NOTE: Do not allow the cord to run underneath or around the unit. The
magnetic cord may not detach easily if the cord is positioned in this way_
2. Close supervision is necessary when fryer is used around children.
Hot oit can cause serious and painful burns.
3. Remove all packing materiat and disassemble unit for cleaning. Take the frying
baskets out of the unit. Remove the cord assembly from the basket and set aside.
Lift the control assembfy out of the unit. Wipe the control assembly (controt unit
with heating element) with a damp cloth. Never immerse the control assembly,
cord, or p_ug inwater.
4. Lift out the removable pan from the base and wash the pan, frying baskets, and
fryer cover in the dishwasher or in warm, sudsy water. Rinse and dry thorough}y.
Before Each Use
!_ CAUTION: To avoid the risk of electrocution or severe disfiguring
electrical burns, do not let children handle or put electricai cords or p_ugs
in their mouths.

The fry baskets are shipped without the
handles attached. The hand grip on the
handle for the larger basket has a key
slot for connecting to the tab on the hand
grip on the handle of the smaller basket,
Be sure to use the correct handle for
each basket (see Fig. 2).

forward into the basket and squeeze the
handle bars together to tit the pegs into
loops inside basket (see Fig, 3), Putt

CAUTION: To avoid accidental burning or other inju_, insure that handles

4.Attachcontrotassemblytothebasebyaligningthetwotabsoncontrolassembly
withoutertwo slots on fryer base (see Fig. 4), SIide control assembly down
as far as it wii! go, making sure that both tabs are in the slots, and heating
element is in bottom of pan. NOTE: The fryer will only operate when both tabs
are fully in place in the slots.

IMPORTANT: The magnetic cord was designed to detach easily from
the fryer. As a result, if it isbumped or touched during use it could possibly
detach, causing the unit to stop heating. Avoid contact with cord during
operation. If contact occurs, verify that 1he cord is still properly connected.
Unit will need to be reprogrammed,

Plug cord into a 120-volt wall outlet. Always make sure fryer and cord are out of
reach of children.
8.
When the cord is ptugged in, the green LCD window lights up and the unit beeps
for about 2 seconds. The default setting of 375 ° shows. (If you do nothing the
green LCD window goes out after about 30 seconds,) To set temperature, press
the "Set Tamp" button. When the button is pressed, the temperature goes to
275°F and changes by 25° each time you press (see Fig. 6). The recommended
setting for most frying is375°E

9. When you select the desired temperature setting, press the "Start/Cancel" button
on the control panel to start the oil heating. (The unit beeps once each time the
"Start!Cancel" button is pressed). A green light will flash to show the unit is heating•
Preheat time is about 15to 17 minutes.
10. Place cover on top of fryer while heating oil.
1t. While the oil is preheating:
a. Prepare food for frying, making sure to remove excess moisture from
•food by blotting with paper toweling. Moist foods can cause excess
foaming, spattering, and overflow of oil.
b, Assemble basket handle(s) for frying. See numbers ! and 2 above.
c. Set basket(s) on countertop and fill up to 2/3 full with food. Always use
the large basket, even when you plan only to fill smaller basket with food,
When using the smaller basket, insert it into the large one, and interlock
the handles together so the two handles act as one. (see Fig. 2, page 6).
12.When the fryer reaches the selected temperature, il beeps 5 times and the
green light stays lit. The unit is now ready to cook.
13. Set the timer to seleCt the cook time. Do this by pressing the ^ and v buttons.
The timer can be set for 1 to 30 minutes.

16, Start the timer by pressing the' k._ "button on the control panel. Tr_e display
will begin to count down the amount of cook time left.
17. Keeping cover over basket(s), lift up slightly on basket handle(s) to disengage
basket drain hook (see Fig. 8) from pan and slowly lower basket(s) down into
oii untiI the bottom of the basket(s) rests on top of the heating element. The
cover ensures that hot oil does not splatter up out of fryer.

WARNING: To prevent the risk of severe personal injury or property
damage, use caution when cooking with hot oil.

CAUTION: It is normal for steam to escape from cover vents during
frying. To prevent steam burns, keep hands and face away from the vents,
t8. For French fries or other high moisture foods, immediately remove cover after
{owering basket(s) into oil. For crisper foods, fry without the cover.
19, Food shouid be golden brown, if cover is on, look through the viewing window
in the cover. If additional cooking time is needed, set the timer for additional time.
20. When food is done, lift basket handle(s) along with fryer cover and hook basket
onto the fryer rim to allow excess eli to drain from food. Remove cover.
21. Empty food onto absorbent paper. Season to taste.
22. If frying additional food, repeat steps 11c through 2I.
23, When all frying is completed, press and hold the "StardCancel" button for 2 to 3
seconds to turn off the unit, and unplug the cord from boththe wall outlet and
the deep fryer. Allow oil to cool completely before removing control assembiy
and before cleaning.
WARNING: ALWAYS press the "Start/Cancer' Button to turn unit OFF
before unplugging the unit from walt outlet. •
1. Never use the deep fryer without the removable enameled pan
inserted into the base.
2, Never use the deep fryer without sufficient oil. Also, never exceed the maximum
firi ;eveL The minimum and maximum fill levels are embossed inside the
removable pan.
3. Use only good quality cooking oi_in the deep fryer. Using olive oil is not
recommended because it has a fewer smoking temperature.
4. Do not use solid fat (shortening, butter, margarine or lard). Solid fat will not melt
uniformly and wit! cause severe smoking. In addition, solid fat will re-solidity once
it has cooied, making it very difficult to remove or insert the centre{ assembly.
5. Before deep frying, remove ice crystals and excess moisture from food by
blotting with paper toweling. Do not add wet food to cooking oil. Even small
amounts of moisture on foods causes excess foaming and/or spattering and
could cause the oil to overflow.
6, When the fryer is used for the first time, a slight odor or light smoking may occur
as manufacturing residue evaporates. This is normat during initial use.
