Gerätebeschreibung

Der DUOMAT®ist eine leistungsfähige Saug-/
Spülpumpe und eignet sich insbesondere für
den Einsatz bei laparoskopischen Operationen,
kann jedoch auch in Verbindung mit
KARL STORZ Fiberskopen angewandt werden.
Spülung und Absaugung erfolgen mit vorgege­benen, konstanten Werten und erfordern deshalb
geringstmöglichen Bedienungsaufwand. Zur
Regelung von Spülung und Absaugung bei
laparoskopischen Anwendungen können Saug-/
Spülrohre mit Ventilen verwendet werden.

Device description

The DUOMAT®is an efficient suction/irrigation
pump and, while particularly suitable for use in
laparoscopic operations, it can also be employed
in conjunction with KARL STORZ fiberscopes.
Irrigation and suction are performed at preset
constant values, thus requiring minimal operating
effort. Suction/irrigation tubes with valves can be
used to regulate irrigation and suction in
laparoscopic applications.

de grandes prestaciones, especialmente
adecuada para su utilización durante interven­ciones laparoscópicas. Asimismo, puede ser
utilizada en combinación con los fibroscopios
de KARL STORZ. La aspiración y la irrigación
se realizan en base a valores preseleccionados
y constantes, por lo que su aplicación requiere
un mínimo esfuerzo. Para regular las funciones
de irrigación y succión en aplicaciones laparos­cópicas pueden utilizarse tubos de succión/irri­gación con válvulas.

Verbindung mit Fiberskopen.

Die Verwendung des Gerätes anders als oben
bestimmt ist aus Sicherheitsgründen nicht zu­lässig.

The DUOMAT®is a suction/irrigation pump for
suction and irrigation in endoscopic interventions.

It is applied either via special suction/irrigation

Sicherheitsmaßnahmen am
Aufstellort

Das Gerät darf nur in medizinisch genutzten
Räumen benutzt werden, deren elektrische
Anlagen nach den national gültigen Vorschriften
installiert sind.

Das Gerät ist mit einer Steckvorrichtung für den
Potentialausgleich ausgerüstet. Diese sollte nach
Maßgabe der national gültigen Vorschriften
angeschlossen werden.

Das Gerät ist nicht für den Betrieb in explosions­gefährdeten Bereichen bestimmt. Dies bedeutet
u.a.:
Bei Verwendung von leicht brennbaren und
explosionsfähigen Inhalations-Anästhesiemitteln
und deren Gemischen darf das Gerät nicht in
der dargestellten Gefahrenzone betrieben wer­den. Dieses gilt auch für leicht brennbare und

The unit may only be used in medical rooms in
which the electrical equipment has been
installed in accordance with applicable national
regulations.

The unit is equipped with a connector for
attaching a ground line. It should be connected
up in accordance with national regulations.

The unit is not intended for use in hazardous
zones. This means, for example, that when using
easily combustible and explosive inhalation
anesthetics or mixtures thereof, the unit must not
be operated inside the hazard zone shown in the
diagram. This also applies to highly combustible
and potentially explosive chemicals, e.g. skin
disinfectants and fast-acting surface disinfectants.

también para productos químicos fácilmente in­flamables y explosivos tales como, p. ej., pro­ductos para desinfección de la piel y desinfec­tantes rápidos para superficies.

Safety precautions when operating

It is the user’s responsibility to make sure the
unit is safe and operates properly before using
the unit.

During treatment with the DUOMAT

®

must be treated and kept under observation with
the usual medical care. This includes keeping a
check on the progress of treatment, as well as
monitoring the vital levels and the anesthetic.

Any treatment may only be performed if there is
visual observation of the action of the instrument.
