Using Your Kambrook Drip Coffee Machine
Before First Use
Remove any packaging material and promotional labels before using your drip coffee machine for the first time. It is recommended before using the drip coffee machine for the first time to clean it thoroughly.
Swing open the filter holder to access the filter basket. Remove the filter basket by pulling upwards and away from the holder. Wash in warm soapy water, then rinse and dry thoroughly. Replace filter back into the filter holder.
Fill the water tank up to the MAX (10) level mark with cold tap water and slide into position in the drip coffee machine. Position the empty carafe on the hotplate and switch the coffee machine 'ON'. Once all the water has dripped through and the glass carafe has cooled, remove the carafe from the hotplate and wash in hot soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
The drip coffee machine is now ready for use.
Operating Your Drip Coffee Machine
1. To fill the water tank, lift the lid and use the handle to remove the water tank from the back of the drip coffee machine. Fill the water tank to the desired level with cold tap water. Do not exceed the MAX (10) level mark. Slide the water tank back into the drip coffee machine and put the lid back on (see Fig.1).
TIP: The water tank is removable and can be taken to the sink to be filled. Alternatively, you can fill the empty glass carafe with water and pour into the water tank.
Swing open the filter holder to access the filter basket (see Fig. 2).
WARNING: Only use cold water in the water tank. Do not use de-mineralised water, mineral water, distilled water or any other liquid. Ensure correct water level is used. Never use the drip coffee machine without water in the water tank.

Care, Cleaning and Storage
Before cleaning, always switch the drip coffee machine in the ‘OFF’ position and switch off at the power outlet. Unplug the power cord and allow the coffee machine to cool.
Use the handle to push the filter holder to the left so it swings open. Remove and empty the mesh filter basket. The filter basket and carafe can be washed in hot soapy water, then rinsed and dried thoroughly.

2. Ensure the filter holder is firmly positioned into place with the empty mesh filter basket inside.
3. Position the empty carafe on the hotplate and switch the coffee machine on. Allow the vinegar mixture to drip through the machine until the cycle is complete. Switch the machine off and empty the carafe.
4. Refill the water tank with tap water. Switch the coffee machine on and allow the fresh water to drip through. Switch the machine off and empty the carafe.
5. Once cooled, wash the carafe in hot soapy water , rinse and dry thoroughly.
Mineral deposits will have been removed from the water tank and internal pipes.
WARNING: Before starting the decalcifying process (or de-scale feature), ensure the carafe is empty and inserted correctly in position.
