Kambrook Recommends Safety First
IMPORTANT: Please retain your instruction book for future use.
At Kambrook, we believe that safe performance is the first priority in any consumer product, so that you, our valued customer can confidently use and trust our products. We ask that any electrical appliance that you use be operated in a sensible fashion with due care and attention placed on the following important operating instructions.
Important Safeguards For Your Kambrook Electric Teapot
• Carefully read all instructions before operating the Kambrook Electric Teapot for the first time and save for future reference.
• Remove and safely discard any packaging material and promotional labels before using the Kambrook Electric Teapot for the first time.
• To eliminate a choking hazard for young children, remove and safely discard the protective cover fitted to the power plug of this appliance.
• The Kambrook Electric Teapot has been designed specifically for the purpose of boiling drinking quality water only. Under no circumstances should this product be used to boil any other liquids or foodstuffs.
• Do not place the Kambrook Electric Teapot near the edge of a bench or table during operation. Ensure that the surface is level, clean and free of water and other substances.
• Do not operate the Kambrook Electric Teapot on a sink drain board.
• Do not place the Kambrook Electric Teapot on or near a hot gas burner, electric element or where it could touch a heated oven.
• Keep the Kambrook Electric Teapot clear of walls, curtains and other heat or steam sensitive materials. Minimum 20cm distance.
• Always ensure the Kambrook Electric Teapot is properly assembled before use. Follow the instructions provided in this book.
• The Kambrook Electric Teapot must be used only with the power base supplied.
• The Kambrook Electric Teapot is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote control system.
• Do not touch hot surfaces. Use the handle for lifting and carrying the Kambrook Electric Teapot.
• Do not place anything on top of the lid.
• Before cleaning and/or storing, ensure the ON/OFF switch is switched off. Turn the power off at the power outlet and remove the power plug from the power outlet before attempting to move the appliance.
• Use caution when pouring water from the Kambrook Electric Teapot, as boiling water and steam will scald. Do not pour the water too quickly.

• To protect against electric shock, do not immerse the Kambrook Electric Teapot base, power base, power cord or power plug in water or allow moisture to come in contact with these parts.
• Do not remove the Kambrook Electric Teapot from the power base during operation. Ensure the Teapot has switched off after the water has boiled before removing the Teapot from the power base. If the Teapot is removed from the power base during the boiling cycle the Teapot will automatically switch off.
• Do not move the Kambrook Electric Teapot while it is switched on.
• Do not open the lid during operation.
• Keep the Kambrook Electric Teapot
clean. Follow the Maintaining Your Kambrook Electric Teapot section provided in this book.
Important Safeguards For All Electrical Appliances
• Fully unwind the power cord before use.
• Do not let the power cord hang over the edge of a bench or table, touch hot surfaces or become knotted.
• To protect against electric shock do not immerse the power cord, power plug or appliance in water or any other liquid.
• The appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
• It is recommended to regularly inspect the appliance. To avoid a hazard do not use the appliance if power cord, power plug or appliance becomes damaged in any way. Return the entire appliance to the nearest authorised Kambrook Service Centre for examination and/or repair.
• Any maintenance other than cleaning should be performed at an authorised Kambrook Service Centre.
• This appliance is for household use only. Do not use this appliance for anything other than its intended use. Do not use in moving vehicles or boats. Do not use outdoors. Misuse may cause injury.
• The installation of a residual current device (safety switch) is recommended to provide additional safety protection when using electrical appliances. It is advisable that a safety switch with a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30mA be installed in the electrical circuit supplying the appliance. See your electrician for professional advice.
WARNING: Do not operate the teapot on an inclined surface. Do not move the teapot while it is switched on.

Quick Start Guide
1. Remove Kambrook Electric Teapot
from packaging and assemble. Be sure to place the basket inside the Kambrook Electric Teapot.
2. Plug the Kambrook Electric Teapot
into power point and switch on.
NOTE: Ensure that the Kambrook Electric Teapot switch is in the ‘OFF’ position.
3. Fill the Kambrook Electric Teapot
with 800ml of water and place onto base.
4. Place 1 tablespoon of tea leaves
into the basket and place lid secularly on top of the Teapot, switch on.
5. When the Teapot has boiled,
leave to settle for approximately 60 seconds.
6. Serve tea.
7. Reheat Kambrook Electric Teapot
if required by switching the switch to the ‘ON’ position.

Operating Instructions
Before First Use
Remove any packaging material and promotional labels before using your Kambrook Electric Teapot for the first time.
It is recommended that before first use, you fill the Kambrook Electric Teapot to the maximum level with cold tap water, bring to the boil and discard the water.
Your Kambrook Electric Teapot will only operate when positioned on the power base with the ON/OFF switch in the ‘ON’ position. Ensure the power plug is connected into a power point and switched on.
The Kambrook Electric Teapot will automatically switch ‘OFF’ once the water is boiled.
Operation of Your Kambrook Electric Teapot
1. To fill the Kambrook Electric
Teapot, remove it from the power base and open the lid by pulling up. (see Fig. 1)
NOTE: Do not fill above the MAX mark as boiling water may splash out from the Kambrook Electric Teapot.
2. Add the tea leaves to the basket
and place back inside the Teapot.
3. Ensure the lid is locked firmly into
the Teapot before placing the Kambrook Electric Teapot on the power base.
4. Place the Kambrook Electric
Teapot firmly onto the power base. Plug the power plug into 230V or 240V power outlet and switch ‘ON’.
5. Press the On/Off switch to the
‘ON’ position. The power ‘ON’ light will illuminate.
NOTE: Do not remove the Kambrook Electric Teapot from the power base during operation. Ensure the Teapot has switched off before removing the Teapot from the power base.

Fill with the desired amount of water. Never fill the Kambrook Electric Teapot above the ‘MAX’ mark, which is indicated by the ‘MAX’ mark on the internal wall.

6. The Kambrook Electric Teapot
will automatically switch ‘OFF’ once the water has boiled. Lift the Kambrook Electric Teapot from the power base and pour the water. Take care to hold the Kambrook Electric Teapot level, especially when filled to the maximum level. To re-boil it may be necessary to wait for a few seconds to allow the control to reset.
7. To refill tea, remove the lid from
the Teapot and ensure that the basket has cooled down before removing. We recommend that you use tongs or oven mitts when removing.

NOTE: The Kambrook Electric Teapot must only be used with the power base supplied. Use caution when pouring water from your Kambrook Electric Teapot, as boiling water will scald. Do not pour the water too quickly.
WARNING: This appliance is designed for boiling of drinking quality water only. Never use it to heat or boil any other liquids or foodstuffs.
WARNING: The lid should always be firmly in place in the closed position before use. Do not open the lid during and after operation. This may result in boiling water splashing from the kettle.
Pour out all the hot water from the kettle before opening the lid to refill.
Safety Boil Dry Protection
This Kambrook Electric Teapot is fitted with a safety device, which protects against overheating, should your appliance be operated with insufficient water. If this occurs the Kambrook Electric Teapot will stop heating and the switch will move to the ‘OFF’ position and the illuminated light will go out.
Should this occur, switch off at the power outlet and unplug. Allow the Kambrook Electric Teapot to cool down before refilling. Remove the teapot from the power base and add cold water. Return the Teapot to the power base. The safety device will automatically reset.
WARNING: Do not place the Kambrook Electric Teapot on a hot gas burner, electric element or heating plate.

Maintaining Your Kambrook Electric Teapot
Always switch appliance off at the power outlet and then unplug before cleaning.
Removable Basket
The teapot features a removable metal tea leave basket to remove tea leave residue from the teapot.
NOTE: Ensure the Kambrook Electric Teapot and water have cooled down before attempting to clean the removable metal tea leave basket.
Remove the lid from the Teapot and ensure that the basket has cooled down before removing. We recommend that you use tongs or oven mitts when removing the basket.
The basket can be cleaned by placing under warm running water and rubbing with a cleaning cloth or brush.
To replace basket, simply place the basket back in the teapot.
NOTE: Do not place a load on the top of the Kambrook Electric Teapot, knock against a hard surface or drop the Teapot. The ceramic will break. Always take care cleaning or filling the Teapot.
WARNING: To prevent damage to the appliance do not use alkaline cleaning agents when cleaning, use a soft cloth and mild detergent.
WARNING: Do not use chemicals, steel wool, or abrasive cleaners to clean the inside or outside of the Kambrook Electric Teapot.
NOTE: The basket could become damaged with time, please check regularly and replace if found damaged.
To Clean the Exterior
The outside of the Kambrook Electric Teapot may be wiped over with a damp cloth and polished with a soft, clean dry cloth.

immerse the Kambrook Electric Teapot base or power cord in water, or allow moisture to come in contact with these parts.

Mineral Deposits and Discolouration
The concealed element in the base of the is made from high quality stainless steel. Any brown stains appearing are the result of mineral deposits and are not rust.
To remove the discolouration follow the cleaning instructions “Removal of mineral deposits”.
Removal of Mineral Deposits
Mineral deposits in tap water may cause the Kambrook Electric Teapot interior to discolour over time. This may be removed by using a kettle cleaner or descaler which is available from most leading supermarkets, department and hardware stores.
Alternatively:

Storage
Ensure that the Kambrook Electric Teapot is switched off, cleaned and dried before storing. Ensure that the lid is closed and locked firmly into place. Wrap the power cord around the cord storage under the power base.
Stand the Kambrook Electric Teapot upright on the power base. Do not store anything on top.

Cooking with the KCT110
Minty Iced Green Tea
Serves 4
1 tablespoon green tea leaves 4 tablespoons caster sugar 16 mint leaves 16 ice cubes
1. Fill the Electric Teapot with water to
the Max level.
2. Place the green tea leaves into the
metal tea basket and insert into the teapot and switch on.
3. Place 1 tablespoon of sugar and 4
mint leaves into 4 glasses and fill with green tea.
4. Stir until sugar is dissolved and allow to
stand until cooled.
5. Top each with 4 ice cubes and serve.
Chai Preserved Lemons
Serves 6
1 tablespoon chai tea leaves 6 lemons 12 tablespoons sea salt 4 bay leaves
1. Fill the Electric Teapot with water to
the internal Max level.
2. Place the chai tea leaves into the
metal tea basket and insert into the teapot and switch on.
3. Cut the lemons into quarters,
lengthways keeping the stem ends attached. Place 2 tablespoons of salt into the centre of each lemon.
4. Place lemons and bay leaves into a
preserving jar and top up with chai tea.
5. Seal and use after 2 weeks.

Baked Berry Apples
Apple Sparkle
Serves 6
1 tablespoon berry flavoured tea leaves ¼ cup dried fruit ¼ cup brown sugar 1 teaspoon cinnamon 30g butter 6 small green apples, peeled and cored
1. Preheat oven to 180ºC.
2. Fill the Electric Teapot with water to
the Max level.
3. Place the berry flavoured tea leaves
into the metal tea basket and insert into the teapot and switch on.
4. Mix together the dried fruits, brown
sugar, cinnamon and butter. Fill the centre of each apple with the mixture.
5. Place apples into a heatproof
oven dish.
6. Pour the tea into the heat proof oven
dish. Cover bowl with foil and secure. Place into a preheated oven for 40 minutes.
7. Serve with ice cream or fresh cream.
Serves 4
1 tablespoon apple flavoured tea leaves 1 cup apple juice 2 tablespoons lemon juice 1 cup mineral water 16 iced cubes
1. Fill the Electric Teapot with water to
the Max level.
2. Place the apple flavoured tea leaves
into the metal tea basket and insert into the teapot and switch on.
3. Fill 4 glasses with ½ a cup of tea and
allow to cool.
4. Add ¼ cup of apple juice, ½
tablespoon of lemon juice and ¼ cup of mineral water to each cooled tea.
5. Top each with 4 ice cubes and serve.

In Australia, this Kambrook Replacement Warranty does not affect the mandatory statutory rights implied under the Trade Practices Act 1974 and other similar State and Territory legislation relating to the appliance. It applies in addition to the conditions and warranties implied by that legislation.
In New Zealand, this Kambrook Replacement Warranty does not affect your mandatory statutory rights implied under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 in relation to the appliance. It applies in addition to the conditions and guarantees implied by that legislation.
This Kambrook Replacement Warranty is valid only in the country of purchase, but other statutory warranties may still apply.
This Warranty card and the purchase receipt for this product are to be retained as proof of purchase and must be presented if making a claim under the Kambrook Replacement Warranty. Please note that under any applicable statutory warranty you are not required to produce these documents, but may be required to provide a proof of purchase.
Kambrook warrants the purchaser against defects in workmanship and material for a period of 12 months domestic use from the date of purchase (or 3 months commercial use).
The Kambrook Replacement Warranty does not apply to any defect, deterioration, loss, injury or damage occasioned by, or as a result of, misuse or abuse, negligent handling or if the product has been used other than in accordance with the instructions. The Kambrook Replacement Warranty excludes breakables such as glass and ceramic items, consumable items and normal wear and tear.
This Kambrook Replacement Warranty is void if there is evidence of the product being tampered with by unauthorised persons.
If the product includes one or a number of accessories only the defective accessory or product will be replaced. Subject to your statutory rights, in the event of Kambrook choosing to replace the appliance, the Kambrook Replacement Warranty will expire at the original date, i.e. 12 months from the original date of purchase.
