PRO DIRECT DRIVE TURNTABLE
r Installation of counter weight
• Slide counter weight onto the rear of the tone arm.
• Twist the counter weight counter-clockwise and it will
screw onto the rear of the tone arm.
Adjustments of horizontal zero (0) balance & stylus pressure
• If your cartridge has a detachable stylus protector,
remove it and be careful not to touch the stylus tip.
• Release the arm clamp and lift the tone arm from the
arm rest.
• Turn the counterweight clockwise or counter-clockwise
until the tone arm is balanced horizontally as floating
freely. During adjusting the horizontal zero (0) balance, be
careful that the stylus tip does not contact the turntable
mat or turntable base.
• After the tone arm is horizontally zero (0) balanced
temporarily, place the tone arm on the arm rest and lock
it with the arm clamp.
• While rotating the stylus-pressure ring, hold the
counterweight steady with one hand until "0" on the ring
aligns with center line on the tone arm rear shaft. Now
the adjustment of the horizontal zero (0) balance should
be complete.
• After adjusting the horizontal zero (0) balance, turn the
balanced counterweight counter-clockwise to get the
proper stylus pressure as the cartridge manufacturer’s
recommendation when it meets center line on the tone
arm rear shaft.
Adjustment of anti-skating control
Set the anti-skating control knob to the same value as the
stylus pressure.
Adjustment of tone arm height
The tone arm height can be adjusted between 0 and 6 mm.
The height scale can help you have an accurate setting.
• Turn the arm lock knob away from the lock position to
unlock the tone arm.
• Turn the arm height adjustment ring until the indicating
line on the ring is at the correct scale reading.
• Lock the tone arm by turning the arm lock knob clockwise
until it is at the lock position.
Example. If the cartridge height is 17.5 mm, the reference
line of arm height adjustment ring should be positioned
between 2 and 3 on the scale.
PLACEMENT
• Place the turntable on a flat surface.
• Locate the turntable as far away from the speakers as
possible and isolate the unit from sound radiation from them.
• Do not expose the turntable to direct sun, dust, moisture
or heat.
• Keep the turntable in a place with good ventilation.
• The interference may happen when a radio is placed too
close to the turntable and both radio and turntable
are playing.
CONNECTIONS
Connect the AC power plug to a proper outlet.
HOW TO OPERATE
• Place a record on the turntable mat.
• Depress the 33 or 45 speed select button to choose the
desired speed. Press both 33 and 45 speed select
buttons at the same time for 78 RPM.
• Turn the power switch to the "ON" position, where the
strobe illuminator will light up.
• Remove the stylus protector if your cartridge has one
attached.
• Release the arm clamp.
• Push the start / stop button and then the turntable will
begin rotating.
• Set the cueing lever to the up position.
• Position the tone arm over the desired position on the
record and push down the cueing lever. Then the tone
arm will slowly lower onto the record and play will start.
• When play is over, raise the tone arm, move it to the arm
rest and lock it with the arm clamp.
How to suspend play
Setting the cueing lever to the up position will lift the tone
arm and then the play stops.
When you play a 45-RPM record with a large center hole
Place the 45-RPM adapter on the center spindle and
depress the 45 speed selector button.
t Target light
• Push the target light switch firmly to raise the light and
illuminate the stylus tip.
• Push down the target light to lower it.
• The target light should be kept in the lower position when
not being used.
Remote control of Start / Stop
It allows the function of start / stop to be remote-controlled
by a separate switch such as a fader start.
* Note: If starting / stopping of the turntable is operated by
both methods of pressing the button on the unit and remote
control, malfunctions may happen.
ADJUSTMENTS
y Pitch adjustment
• When the Quartz lock is on, the LED lights green, and the
speed will be 33 1/3, 45 or 78 rpm. It depends on which
speed has been selected. And then pitch adjustment
automatically disengages.
• You can adjust the pitch when the quartz lock is off. The
pitch can vary +/- 10, 20 or 30% based on selected
button when the pitch control is moved off center.
• When the pitch adjustment is positioned off center,
pressing the quartz lock button can bring the speed back
to 33 1/3, 45 or 78 rpm. To bring the speed back to the
initial setting, inactive the quartz lock.
• When the platter is spinning, the strobe light illuminates
the strobe RPM indicator strip. When the pitch is –3.3%,
the bottom row of dots will seem to be steady. When the
speed is 33 1/3, 45 or 78 rpm, the second row of dots
from the bottom will seem to be steady. The third row of
dots from the bottom will seem to be steady when the
pitch is +3.3%. The top row of dots will seem to be
steady when the pitch is +7.2%.
u Pitch bend
You can temporarily raise or lower the pitch without
changing the slide setting by pressing the pitch bend
buttons. Release the button to return the pitch to the slide
setting.
i Reverse
To reverse the rotation of the platter, press the reverse
button. The reverse LED will light when the function is on. To
return to normal play, press the reverse button again.
o Adjustment of arm-lift height
If the pre-adjusted distance that the cueing lever raises the
stylus off the record surface is not enough, it can be
adjusted by turning the arm-lift height adjustment screw.
Decrease the distance by clockwise rotating the screw and
increase the distance by counter-clockwise rotating the
screw.
1) Brake control
The brake slide allows you to adjust the length of slowing
down by sliding left or right.
