1. This product must be connected to the public switched telephone network
through a modular telephone outlet or jack.
2. Upon the request of the local telephone service provider, the user of this product
must provide the following information:
• The “line” to which this telephone equipment will be connected (telephone
number)
• The telephone equipment’s FCC registration number and ringer equivalence
number. This information is printed on the back or bottom of the unit.
3. If it is determined that this equipment is malfunctioning, the FCC requires that it
not be used and that it must be unplugged from the modular outlet until the
problem has been corrected.
4. If the product causes harm to the telephone network, the telephone company
may temporarily discontinue telephone service. Whenever possible, the

GETTING STARTED
Thank you for purchasing the JT-P770 Caller ID Speaker Phone. Please read and
follow the instructions in this manual carefully to ensure that your product operates
correctly.
General Features
• Supports FSK and DTMF system
• Caller ID and call waiting features
• Speaker phone system
• 16-digit liquid crystal display (LCD)
• Stores Caller ID information for up to 90 calls
• Digital phonebook store up to 25 telephone numbers
1. Choose a desired location for the unit (mounted or on a flat, level surface).
2. Adjust the removable tab located above the speaker on the base of the phone.
• The tab slides for easy removal.
• For flat, level placement, the side of the tab with
the lip should be situated toward the bottom of the
base to allow smooth removal of the handset from
the base.
3. Plug one end of the coiled telephone cord into the jack on the handset, and the
other into the matching jack on the left side of the unit’s base.
LIP
• For wall mounted units, the side of the tab with
the lip must be situated toward the top of the
base to allow the handset to hang on the base
without falling. The lip fits into the opening under
the earpiece on the handset.

4. Plug one end of the flat telephone cord into the jack in the rear of the unit’s base
(marked TEL-LINE), and the other end into the wall jack which supplies
telephone service.
Connecting the Stand for Wall Mounting
When using the JT-P770 on a flat surface, it is
recommended that you use the included stand.
1. Remove the stand from the plastic wrapper.
2. Turn the phone upside down with the battery
compartment closest to you.
The stand attaches above where the battery
compartment is located.
3. There are five (5) slots. The top two (2) slots
are situated closer together and are on the
bottom surface of the unit. The bottom three (3) slots are situated further apart
and are located in indented rectangular sections which are cut into the bottom
surface.
4. Line up the top two lips on the stand with the top two (2) slots on the bottom of
the unit and place the lips into the slots.

5. Using your thumbs, gently press the stand just above the bottom two (2) lips
until the stand clicks into position.
6. Return the phone to the upright position.
Mounting the Phone on the Wall
1. Choose a desired wall location for the phone.
2. Align nails or picture hooks with the wall-
mount hanger located on the bottom
surface of the base.
3. Hammer nails or hangers into the wall so
the phone can hang flush with the wall.
4. Set the removable receiver tab with lip
toward the top of the base.
5. Hang phone on nails or picture hangers making certain that the phone is flush
with the wall.

Installing the Batteries
The JT-P770 requires three (3) AA batteries, which are used to operate the
speakerphone, the LCD display, and to retain Caller ID data and any settings
programmed into the phone.
1. Remove the battery compartment cover at the
bottom of the unit.

Notes:
•Whether installing batteries for the first time or replacing them, do not mix old
and new batteries, nor should alkaline, standard (zinc-carbon), or rechargeable
(nickel-cadmium) batteries be used together.
•When not using the phone for a long period of time, remove the batteries to
prevent possible leakage and corrosion.
•If the batteries are not connected, the JT-P770 will still be able to place and
receive calls, but the speakerphone, the ability to store Caller ID data, and the
LCD display functions will not operate.
•Batteries should be replaced when the display dims.

Basic Setup
Note: Please be sure the telephone lines are connected well and batteries are
installed before starting setting. In normal operation, press [SET/STORE] button to
enter the setting mode which includes following menus “Select Language, Set Area
Code, Long Dist Access, Set Date/Time, Contrast Adjust, Baby Call, Ring
Melody, Phonebook Input, Phonebook Edit”.
1. Select Language
• Press [SET/STORE] button to enter setup mode. To change factory default
language to different language, then choose “Select Language” option by
pressing [UP] button and press [SET/STORE] to confirm.
• Press [UP] or [DOWN] button to select from following language option:
ENGLISH (English), DANMARK (Danish), TURKISH (Turkish),
DEUTSCH (German), ITALIANO (Italian), ESPANOL (Spanish) and
FRANCAIS (French).
• Press [SET/STORE] button again to confirm and set the language chosen.
2. Set Area Code
zWhen “SET AREA CODE” displays on the LCD, press [SET/STORE]
button to enter.
zLCD will display “- - - - - -“ and blinking first digit, press [UP] or [DOWN]
button to select the first digit.
zPress [SET/STORE] button again to confirm. It will skip to second digit and
blink.
zRepeat this procedure for each digit.
3. Long Distance Access
• When “LONG DIST ACCESS” displays on the LCD, press [SET/STORE]
button to enter.
• LCD will display “- - - - - -“ and blinking first digit, press [UP] or [DOWN]
button to select the first digit.
• Press [SET/STORE] button again to confirm. It will skip to second digit and
blink.
•Repeat this procedure for each digit.
4. Set Date/Time
• When “DATE/TIME” displays on the LCD, press [SET/STORE] button to
enter.
• The year will blink, press [UP] or [DOWN] button to select the year.
• Press [SET/STORE] button again to confirm.
• Use the same method to set hour, minute, date and month respectively.
5. LCD Contrast
• When “CONTRAST ADJUST” displays on the LCD, press [SET/STORE]
button to enter.
• Press [UP] or [DOWN] buttonto select the contrast level from 1 to 5.
• Press [SET/STORE] button again to confirm.

6. Baby Call
• When “BABY CALL” displays on the LCD, press [SET/STORE] button to
enter.
• Press [UP] or [DOWN] button to select “ON” or “OFF”.
• Press [SET/STORE] button again to confirm.
• If you set the baby call to ‘ON’, then input the number for baby call.
• Press [SET/STORE] button again to confirm.
7. Ring Melody
• When ‘RING MELODY’ displays on the LCD, press [SET/STORE] button to
enter.
• Press [UP] or [DOWN] button to select the desire melody. Choose from
eight ringer melodies.
• Press [SET/STORE] button again to confirm.
8. Phonebook Input
• When “PHONEBOOK INPUT” displays on the LCD, press [SET/STORE]
button to enter.
•When the LCD displays “INPUT NUMBER”, enter the desired number to
phonebook.
• Press [SET/STORE] button again to confirm and skip to next line.
• Use the number buttons to input the name ( for example: To input letter “C”,
continuously press [2] button until letter “C’ appears on the display ), It will
take approximately two (2) seconds to skip to next letter position
•To revise the input letter, use [DEL] button to delete (support maximum of
16 letters )
• Press [SET/STORE] button again to confirm the name and move to next
setting.
•Once name and number are confirmed, press [DEL] button to exit setting.
9. Phonebook Edit
• When “PHONEBOOK EDIT” displays on the LCD, press [SET/STORE]
button to enter setting.
• When “INPUT PREFIX” displays on LCD, input the name using number
buttons and press [SET/STORE] button to confirm.
•Once in memory, the name telephone number will display on LCD. Press [SET/STORE] and press [▲] or [
contacts.
•To edit the number and name, scroll through the phone book and choose
the entry for edit.
• Press [SET/STORE] button again confirm.
• Press [DEL] buttonto exit.
Note: If there are no contacts stored in the phonebook, the LCD will display ‘NO
ITEM IN BOOK’ when entering phonebook edit mode.

10. Tone/Pulse Settings
To choose the Tone or Pulse dialing option, use [T • P] switch to select the “T”

•Note: Under the pulse mode, press ‘*’ button will provisional change to
tone mode during pick up the handset or speakerphone mode.
11. Ringer Volume Control (HI/LO/OFF)
Slide [RINGER] switch to ‘HI’ , ‘LO’ or ‘OFF’ position to select sound level (high, low,
no sound)
•If the ringer select to off position without ringer sound, but ringer indicator
will flash when calls are received by the unit.
12. Speakerphone Volume Control (Min to Max)
•To adjust the speakerphone sound level, use “SPEAKER” volume on right
side of JT-P770.
13. Receiver Volume Control (Min to Max)
zTo adjust the receiver (handset speaker) sound level, use “RECEIVER”
volume located on the left side of the unit.
14. One-Touch Memory
z With the phone in off-hook mode, enter the desired telephone number.
z Once done, press [SET/STORE] button, the LCD will display “STORE”.
z Press one of the One-Touch memory keys (M1-M3). If a phone number is
already associated with the selected memory key, it will be overwritten with
the new number.
Using the Phone System
Note: Make sure the phone line is securely connected to both JT-P770 and Wall
Phone Jack.
Make sure JT-P770 has a valid dial tone before operating.
1. Making a Call
z Lift the handset or press speakerphone button to dial out.
z Enter the telephone number using number button.
2. Last Outgoing Number Redial
• Lift the handset or press speakerphone button to dial out.
• Press [RD/BACK] button to redial the last number dialed out.
3. One-Touch Dialing
On off-hook state, press the one-touch memory key (M1-M3), the number will
appear on the LCD display and the telephone will dial the number immediately.
4. Review, Delete, Dial Back Incoming Calls
•When the handset is placed on the base unit (on-hook mode), press [UP] or
[DOWN] button to review the all calls that came.
•To call back on missed call, press [RD/BACK] button while the number is
highlighted on the display to dial out the number.

• To add a long distance digit to current number shown on the display, press
[RD/BACK] button two times.
•To delete the stored incoming calls, press [DEL] button to delete the record.
Press and hold for more than 4 seconds on [DEL] button will clear all
incoming records stored on the phone.
5. Review, Dial Back, Delete The Outgoing Calls
• In on-hook mode, press [DIALED] button to review the last outgoing calls.
• Press & hold for more than 4 seconds on the [DIALED] button will initiate
quick search.
•To call the stored outgoing number, press [RD/BACK] button when the
number is shown on the display to dial out the number.
•To delete the current displayed number, press [DEL] button to delete the
record. Press and hold [DEL] button for 4 seconds will delete all outgoing
records.
6. Pre-Dialing Function
• Under On-hook mode, input the goal telephone number first.
• Lift the handset or press the [SPEAKER] or [RD/BACK] button, the input
number will be dialed out automatically.
Note: You can use [DEL] button to edit or delete the input number.
7. Flash Function
•During connect (off-hook) mode, press [FLASH] button once, will
disconnect the line *600ms, and re-connect the line for transfer function.
8. Baby Call Function
•If the baby call function has activated (already with baby call number
preset), pick up the handset or press any button (except the [SET/STORE]
button) to dial out the preset baby call number automatically.
Note: To deactivate Baby Calls, please press [SET/STORE] button to enter Baby
Calls setting and turn off the baby calls to resume normal operation.
9. Music on Hold
•During conversation, press [HOLD] button once will automatically activate
waiting music.
•This will mute the microphone and playback music to person on hold, even
when handset is picked up or in speakerphone mode.
• Press [HOLD] button once again to release the hold to resume phone call.
10. Call Waiting
•When during a call if with new coming call, you will hear a short tone and
caller information show on the LCD display, then press the [FLASH] button
the current call will on hold and connect to new coming caller.
•If need resume current call press [FLASH] button again.
Note: Above function is based on your telephone service provider features.

11. Incoming Call Indicator
The ringer indicator will light up, when calls are incoming to the phone.
12. Conversation Time Indication
During the conversation the LCD will display and call time until the call is
disconnect.
Press [DEL] again to erase the entire caller ID list.

Troubleshooting
No Dial tone
• Please check your Phone cables to see if they are securely connected.
• Make sure you have valid Telephone service.
No Display
• Please make sure batteries (Not Included) are good installed.
• If unit still does not work, please call jWIN Customer Support for further
information.
No Ringer Sound
•Please make sure your ringer setting is not set to “Off” position. Please
check the Ringer Volume switch.
Can Not Hear Anything through Speakerphone
• Make sure the batteries are good installed.
• Adjust the Speakerphone volume located on the right side of the unit
Can not Hear Through Handset
• Make sure to adjust the receiver volume located on the left side of the unit.
