Notes on Handling
* When shipping the DVD player, the original shipping
carton and packing materials come in handy. For
maximum protection, repack the unit as it was
originally packed at the factory.
* Do not use volatile liquids, such as insect spray,
near the DVD player. Do not leave rubber or plastic
products in contact with the DVD player for a long
time.
* The top and rear panel of the DVD player may
become warm after a long period of use. This is not
a malfunction.
* When the DVD player is not in use, be sure to
remove the disc and turn off the power.
* If you do not use the DVD player for a long period,
the unit may not function properly in the future. Maintain it by turning the unit on periodically.
Notes on Position
* When you place this DVD player near a TV, radio,
or VCR, the playback picture may become poor and
the sound may be distorted . In this case, place
the DVD player away from the TV, radio, or VCR.
Notes on Cleaning
Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning.

* For stubborn dirt, soak the cloth in a mild
detergent solution, wring well and wipe. Use a dry
cloth to wipe it dry.
* Do not use any type of solvent, such as thinner
or benzine, as they may damage the surface of
the DVD player. If you use a chemical saturated
cloth to clean the unit, follow that product s
instructions.
To Obtain a Clear Picture
The DVD player is a high technology, precision
device. If the optical pick-up lens and disc drive
parts are dirty or worn down, the picture quality
becomes poor. To obtain a clear picture, we
recommend regular inspection and maintenance
(cleaning or parts replacement)every 1,000 hours
of use depending on the operating environment.

Notes on Moisture Condensation
Moisture condensation damages the DVD player. please read the following carefully.
Moisture condensation occurs, for example, when
you pour a cold drink into a glass on a warm day.
Drops of water form on the outside of the glass. In
the same way, moisture may condense on the
optical pick-up lens inside this unit, one of the most
most crucial internal parts of the DVD PLAYER.
Moisture condensation occurs during the following
cases:

*When you bring the DVD player directly from a cold
place to a warm place.
*When you use the DVD player in a room where
you just turned on the heater, or a place where the
cold wind from the air conditioner directly hits the
unit.
*In summer, when you use the DVD player in a hot
and humid place just after you move the unit from
an air conditioned room.
*When you use the DVD player in a humid place.
Do not use the DVD player when moisture
condensation may occur:
*If you use the DVD player in such a situation, it may
damage discs and internal parts. Remove the disc,
connect the power cord of the player to the wall
outlet, turn on the DVD player, and leave it for two
or three hours. After two or three hours, the DVD
player will have warmed up and evaporated any
moisture. Keep the DVD player connected to the
wall outlet and moisture condensation will seldom
occur.

Attention
Warning: Do not expose the equipment to the rain or put it at the humid place
in order to avoid any fire or electric shock. Do not open the enclosure since there is high-pressure fittings and laser inside. If the equipment requires maintaining, turn to some professionals for help.
Warning: As the DVD player is a high-grade household electrical appliance,
there is large-scale integration and precise laser device. Thus, to prolong the lifespan of the player, the interval of continuous switching shall not be less than ten seconds. Besides, for personal safety, the power supply will be switched off before connecting.
Precautions for Maintenance:
* Do not put the equipment at or
near the following locations: Any place exposed to direct sunlight or close to the heat radiation appliances(e.g. Heater)
The top of other objects with heat radiating function.
Do not put the unit in any place with easy vibration, unsteady standing, heavy humidity and exposure to rain.
* Do not place the equipment near or at the same platform as high-power speakers
so as to prevent vibration to affect the normal operation of the equipment.
* When the ambient temperature gets an extreme change (e.g. move from a cold
place to a warm one), the optical head may gain dewing, where the equipment can not work normally. With the disc taken out, the equipment can recover a
normal operation after be powered on for one to two hours.
* In case the optical head has some dust due to an overuse or an application in a
poor outer environment, the optical head can be cleaned with the laser cleaning kit. refer to the operation instruction of your purchased cleaning kit for detailed operation.
* The surfaces of the equipment and controller can be cleaned with a soft cotten
cloth with some neutral solution. Do not apply abrasive paper, spirit or gasoline to cleaning.
* Do not use a dirty or damaged disks as this may damage the main component
of the unit.

Precautions for Use of Power Supply:
* Choose an appropriate power supply
with the voltage specified in the operation instruction manual.
* When pulling out or inserting the plug,
do not pull the power cable, but grasp the plug to pull out or insert.
* Make it sure that all connections and power cords are appropriately
connected before the equipment is powered on.
* Before the equipment is powered on, the volume of the power amplifier
shall be adjusted to the minimum. The amplifier can be toned up after playing the music so as to avoid damaging the amplifier or the loudspeaker.
* If you don't use the equipment for a long time, keep the unit unplugged.

3. Preparation before Playing

3.2 Battery Installation for Remote Control
Open the battery compartment lid and insert a pair of AAA batteries with correct polarity as indicated. Please point at the remote sensor on the player while using the remote control.
3.3 System Connection
Turn off the power before connection. Turn on the power after finishing connection.
Wires must be properly connected. All the plugs shall be fully inserted .

Connect with TV
Normal Connection
Connect the player and the appropriate port of TV set with video/audio wire, as indicated in the right picture:
Connect with S-video Terminal
Connect one end of the S-video wire with S-video output socket on DVD back-panel and another with the S-video input socket of the TV, and then connect audio wire with the TV.
Connect with YUV (Y Pb/Cb Pr/Cr) Terminal
Connect the Y, Pb/Cb, Pr/Cr jacks on the disc player and the corresponding jacks on the TV with audio cord. After that, connect disc player to TV with audio cord.
For a Progressive Scanning TV set, press the PS key on the remote control after DVD has read the disc. Then, the DVD player will shift to the progressive output mode and there may be no picture on the TV screen. You can recover the picture by shifting the video mode of the TV set to the progressive scanning one.

Connect with AV Power Amplifier
Connect with the dual-channel power amplifier.
The specific connection is indicated as follows.
Connect AV power amplifier with
5.1 channels and surrounding audio input.
Connect with digital audio optical fiber or coaxial terminal.
Directly connect the optical fiber cord or the coaxial cord of the AV amplifier with the optical fiber or coaxial terminal of this equipment. Then,connect the video terminal of this equipment with the video terminal of the TV set. Please refer to for the detailed5.3 Audio Setup Page Setting method of optical fiber or coaxial cord.
3.4 Setup of Output System
If pictures are not full screen or edge of the pictures have been covered or TV white-black phenomen on exit , please coordinate the output system of the equipment with that of TV set by pressing the N/P button on the remote control.
The DVD disc can support pictures of different proportions. On the TV set, pictures may not be in full screen or part of the picture could be covered.

4. Function Buttons
4.1 Function Buttons on the DVD Player
(the same as the function of the corresponding buttons on the remote control)
POWER
Press the button to switch the unit ON/OFF.
OPEN/CLOSE
Press this button and the disc tray will open. After the disc is put into the tray, press this button again to close the tray.
PLAY
Press this button to play the disc.
STOP
Press this button once and the player will be in memory stop. Press this button twice and the player will be in complete stop.
PREVIOUS/NEXT
Press the button to play the previous or next track or the previous or next film segment.
4.2 Function Buttons on the Remote Controller
MUTE
Press this button once to turn off sound and press it again to turn on sound.
OSD
Press this button to display the information of playing disc.
BOOKMARK
Press this button to mark the memory playing point according to your requires.
(This function requires the support from the disc.)

PAUSE
In playing state, press this button once, the player will be in pause state; press it twice, the player will play disc information frame by frame; Press PLAY button, the player will resume normal playing state.
ANGLE
Press this button to enjoy pictures shot from different angles.( Disc support is required)
ZOOM
Go on pressing the button to get different zoomed picture.
This function may differ for different types of discs.
TITLE
Press this button to enter the appointed title. (Requires the support from discs)
REPEAT
When playing DVD discs, continuously press this key to repeat playing current chapter, title and the entitle disc. In the playing mode of Super VCD, VCD or CD, continuously press this key to repeat playing current track or the entitle disc.
MENU
For the DVD disc, press this button to enter into the designated menu(requiring the support from the disc.)
For the Super VCD and VCD 2.0 disc, press this button to shift between the PBC ON and PBC OFF states. For VCD 1.1 and CD disc, this button is void.
D-PLAY
For the DVD disc, press this button to skip the advertisement, warning sentence, and main menu, directly playing the film.
NAVIGATION
Press this button to enter the navigation state.(refer to 4.3
PS(PROGRESSIVE SCAN)
With the connection with the progressive scanning TV set, press this button to choose or output of the player.

POWER(STANDBY)
Press the button for the first time and the player will be in standby state and reduce the power consumption. Press the button again and the player will recover operation.

When you input the numbers, you can press button to cancel the numbers inputted.
SEARCH
For DVD disc, press this button to choose the desired title and chapter, search the desired title time and chapter time. For Super VCD, VCD, CD, MPEG4 disc, press this button to search the desired disc time and track time, choose the desired track.
AUDIO(L/R)
Press this button to choose different dubbing, left and right channel outputs(DVD has 8 languages and Super VCD has 4 languages. This function requires the
support from disc.)
FAST FORWARD/FAST REVERSE
In play state, press or button and perform the fast forward or reverse function at different speed. Press button and the player will directly enter the normal play status. For DVD disc, this function may get up to 128 times speed.

4.3 Navigation
Press button on the remote control and the screen will display a

In the play state, press the button on the remote control and a multimedia interface will appear as indicated in the below picture. You can make a desired change with the arrow keys and numeric keys on the remote control and then confirm by pressing the button.

Connect with Microphone
Connect microphones to jacks. You may connect two microphones to enjoy the Karaoke function.

4.6 How To Use KARAOKE Grade Function
* In the complete stop state or the no disc state, press button to select
different KARAOKE SCORE LEVEL.

4.7 HOW TO ENJOY MP3/WMA/MPEG4 DISCS
The MP3/WMA/MPEG4 disc has such a directory structure as shown in the below picture. In the play mode, press arrow keys to choose the root directory and

then press button to enter into the sub directory. Press arrow keys to choose the desired track and then press or button to enjoy the music or movie. If you want to return to the upper menu, press arrow keys to choose the icon or press button. Press button to switch between the file list mode and the sequential play mode.
Filelist: Sequentially display the tracks in the entile disc. Folder: Display the folder in the whole disc by the directory structure. Choose and play the desired tracks with numeric keys and arrow keys.

MP3/WMA
MPEG4 INTRODUCTION:
The MPEG-4 is an ISO/IEC standard developed by MPEG (Moving Picture Express Group), it is the fourth edition of MPEG, use a images reconstruction technique to compress and transfer the image date, and use WAM or MP3 format to compress and transfer the Audio data, a standard CD-ROM disc can record several movies with VCD image quality, or a standard DVD-ROM disc can record four movies with DVD image quality.
This player is not compatible with all the MPEG4 discs. Some functions are invalid for MPEG4 discs such as MENU SUBTITLE ect.

The Picture CD disc has such a directory structure as shown in the below picture. In the directory play mode, press arrow keys to choose the root directory and then enter the sub directory. Choose the desired picture and a small picture will appear as shown in the picture for your choice. Press or button to confirm and then enjoy the picture. If you want to return to the upper menu, press arrow keys to choose the
icon.

6. Intelligent Screensaver and Standby Function
With the same function of screen protection and stand-by function as computer, it will automatically enter into screen protection after three minutes in stop or no disc state, so as to protect your TV screen. After the screen protection state lasts for 20 minutes, it will automatically enter the stand-by state, then the DVD display doesn't light, no video output, and the power consumption is greatly lowered, thus service life of the player can be prolonged. In stand-by state, pressing key on the remote controller can activate the player back to normal working state.

No sound:
* Ensure that the player is connected
