Safety Precautions

Bluetoot h devices make use of th e
same freq uency bandwi dth (2.4 GHz) as that of W i-Fi devices. Us ing this produc t near such device s may cause radi o wave interferen ce, and result in a dro p in communication speed or co nnection fail ure. In this case, turn o ff the power of dev ices that are not in u se.
Wirele ss LAN securi ty
An advanta ge of wireless LA N is that instea d of using a LAN cable , it transmit s information us ing radio waves , thus enabling a LA N connect ion to be establis hed within the area cover ed by the radio waves . However, as radi o waves penetrate through ob jects (such as wal ls) within the range that they cover, securit y issues, such as inte rception of transmis sion or illegal acce ss, may arise if se curity sett ings are not confi gured. Before yo u connect

to the netwo rk in a wireless LA N environment, read through the instruc tion manual for the w ireless LAN device i n use, and configu re the security settings accordingly. Failure to do so may i ncrease the risk of person al information su ch as user names, pas swords, and the con tent of your e-m ails being interce pted, or illegal acc ess to the network .

Waterpr oof Functio n
This camer a is equipped wit h a waterproof function. This camer a can make recordin gs in marine wate r and fresh water. We recommen d selecting [B lue (marine)]/ [Green (marin e)] in White Balance for underw ater scenes. The w aterproof functio n is tested in accorda nce with JVC test sta ndards and it does n ot assure dama ge-free or tro uble-free operatio n. (The waterp roof functio ns not evaluat ed by UL.)
The water proof func tion cannot b e guarant eed if the cam era is subjec t to impact.

• Always keep th e lens clean and wip e the water dro plets off the c amera with a sof t and dry cloth.
• Air-dry th e camera complet ely in a shaded area.

Checking the Accessories

Remove any dirt or moisture before attaching accessories.
Once attached, the fl exible mount cannot be removed.
The knob of the fl exible mount is attached to the base part
when purchased. Remove the knob before assembling the fl exible mount.

When you f ix the camera to a he lmet, etc., at tach the flexi ble mount to the t ripod mounting h ole of the camera .

Charging the Battery

times are 5 h ours (when connec ted to a PC) and 2.3 hours (wh en connected to the AC adapt er).
• Be sure to use an AC adapter m anufactured by JVC (AC-V17LU, sold separately).
• Do not use batte ries or AC adapter s made by other manufacturers.
The Access LE D turns off when charging i s complete. Remove the USB cabl e and close the cover fir mly.

Inserting an SD Card
• Insert a separately purchased SD card into th e SD slot firmly, until the ca rd is locked.
• To remove th e SD card, push the card in o nce, and pull it out stra ight.
• When using a new SD ca rd, format th e card in the menu screen.
Operat ion is confirme d with the followin g manufacture rs' SD cards. Class 4 or hig her SD/SDHC/SDXC cards (up to 128GB) When recording with 1080p60 (1080p50), Class 6 or higher is required.

Setting the Clock
1 Pre ss and hold Powe r for 2 seconds t o turn the powe r on. 2 Press MENU. 3 Pre ss < or > to selec t "Setup", and p ress SET. 4 Pre ss < or > to selec t "More", and pre ss SET. 5 Pre ss < or > to selec t "Time Sett ing", and pres s SET. 6 Pre ss < or > to adjust t he year, and pres s SET. 7 Re peat the prev ious step to adj ust the mont h, day, hour,

• If you connect a s eparately sold AC a dapter (AC-V17LU) and the connec tion mode is set to "AC", you can r ecord with the powe r supplie d through the miniUS B connector whil e the camera is charging . (The batter y is not charged wh ile the power is on.)

1 Download the appropriate application.
Downlo ad "ADIXXION sync ." (freeware) from Go ogle Play (for Android d evices) or App store (f or iOS devices) and ins tall.
2 Se t the Wi-Fi fun ction of the c amera to on.
~ Press MENU. Ÿ Pre ss < or > to selec t "Wi-Fi Me nu", and press SE T.
Press < or > to select "ON", and press SET.

Try to connec t again in a bet­ter reception environment. If you are fa r from the receiver, there is interference, or if there is a microwave o r another wireles s device nearby, the communic ation speed may slow down or the connection may not be es tablished.
The insid e of the camera has become ov erheated. Turn off the unit an d wait for a while until the ca mera cools down.
The powe r is automatically turned o ff to protect th e elec­trical ci rcuit if the AC adapter input exceeds 5V. Be sure to use a n AC adapter manufac tured by JVC V17LU, sold separately).
