SPECIFIC SERVICE INSTRUCTIONS

DISASSEMBLE PROCEDURE
Refer to EXPLODE VIEW in PARTS LIST (page 43 and 44) .
BOTTOM BACK COVER
Be sur e t o di scon nect th e p ow er p lug.
1. Remove sixt een scr e ws [N o. 40] fr o m t he bo ttom b ack c over [N o. 9]
2. Be caref ul of the power p lug t o remove the b otto m b ack co ver .
FRONT PANEL
Be car ef ul n ot t o damag e t he front pane l.
1. R em ove thr ee scr ews f rom the p ede stal [N o. 15] a nd tak e it d own.
2. Remove the screws on the speaker g rill and take it down.
SPEAKER
1. R em ove fo ur scr ews us ed f or the sp eak er s fi xing .
2. R em ove th e sp eake rs want ed an d the con nect ed wire fr om th e b ac k of t he s pe aker.
3. T ake th e sp eake rs do wn.
PWB
1. R em ove th e scr ew s f ixe d PW B and t he hold er [No .11].
2. Se para te al l of t he con nec ted wire s fr om t he fixed l e ad clamp er s.
3. D r ag t he m ain ch assi s PW B backwa rd s slowly.
4. Se t it u p wh en drag gi ng the main ch assi s PW B outwar d s.
5. Be sure that all of the ready connected wires can be checked when ON-OFF switch is on. In o rder to set t he PWB up ea si l y, if ne c ess ary, so m e con cerne d con nect ed wir es are allow e d t o dis con nec t t em po raril y, th en rev i ve t hei r
con nec tion.
The sta bil ity would be not good wh en the PW B is set up. B e c areful not to let it d own.
Be for e th e p ow er is on , m ak e sure t hat each c onnect ed wire are read y ,an d pr e vent t he PW B f ro m th e ou tside o bj ects so a s t o av o id the
short circuit.
PRT (PROJECTION TUB E)
Take care of the surface of lens
1. Remove the b ack c over [N o. 1].
Disassemble method for 43” top back cover
Dis assem bl e 13 scr ews [ No.40 ] on th e to p bac k co ver [No. 1] a nd pu ll out the c o v er an d tak e i t d own.
Disassemble method for 50” top frame [N o. 7] Dis assem bl e 16 scr ews [No. 40] on the top b ack c o ver [N o. 1] and fou r scr ew s fi xed on th e hol d er fo r t he front fram e , the n t ake it down.
Never take the top b ack cover [No .1] down. " Plea se prot ect the fron t frame fr om pu l lin g o ut when r em oving th e scr ew s of t he back c ove r.)
4. Removal of CPT bo ard [ F] and t he eart h of PRT .
5. Ree lin gly pu ll thr ee of an ode wi r es o ut of FBT.
6. Loose n the fast enin g scr e ws on VM MA GNET to ta ke d own VM MAGNET.
7. L oose n th e fast enin g scr e w on D Y to take DY d ow n .
8. L oose n th e l ead clam per s th at nee d s epa ra ting , s o th at t he an ode w i re s ar e ou t of bi n di n g.
9. Dis assem bl e 4 scr ews of PRT [No. 24] or [N o. 25] , [N o.2 6] ne ed ed to ta ke ou t an d l i ft u p t he m et al boa rd with P TV sl o wly, th en pull out the PRT toge th er with the ano de w ire.
10.R emove 4 screws from lens [No. 21] or [No. 22] , [No .23 ] con nected with P RT, and ta ke do wn the lens. Also the step can be carried out prior to the removal of PRT.
MIRR OR
1. R em ov e fi ft een scr ews fr om the mi rro r s upp or t [No. 3] or [N o. 4], [N o. 5] on the mi rro r.
2. Take Down t he mirror.
In the proc ess o f remova l, pro tect th e m irror f rom crack ing.
After f inishing maintenance, the parts disassembled should be returned to the original state.

SERVICE ADJUSTMENTS

ADJUSTMENT PREPARATION
1. You can make the necessary adjustments for this unit with either the Remote c ontrol unit or with the adjustment tools and parts as given below.
2. Adjustment with the Remote control unit is made on the ba sis of the initial setting values, however, the new setting values whic h se t th e sc ree n to i ts o p ti mu m c ondit ion m ay di ffer from the init ial set ti ngs .
3. M ak e sur e t hat AC p ower is tu r ned on c orrec tly.

5. Unless otherwise specified, prepare the most suitable reception or input signal for adjustment.
