The Juice Goose RX Series products are AC power conditioners that protect against AC line surges and line noise. These devices use an advanced, patented Hybrid Filter Technology which protects against high voltage electric power surges and disruptive, high frequency line noise on the hot, neutral and ground power leads.
GENERAL SAFE USE PROCEDURES
A. Use indoors only. Do not expose to moisture. B. Avoid dropping the unit. Do not use if any part of the product appears damaged. C. Only plug the RX product into a three pronged grounded outlet. This unit is not to be used with any type of ground “lift” or pin eliminator. The safety circuitry in the RX Series product prevents power from flowing if the unit is not properly grounded. D. Do not open the RX product. There are no user serviceable parts inside. Opening the unit will void your warra nty create a significant safety hazard.

APPLICATION DISCLAIMER
Juice Goose shall under no circumstances be held responsible for any losses, damage, or injury resulting directly or indirectly from the use of a RX Series device in a manner contrary with accepted, safe operating methods or any instructions contained in this document. The user should determine prior to use whether this product is adequate, suitable or safe for the application intended. Since individual applications can be subject to extreme variation, Juice Goose makes no representation or guarantee as to the suitability of a RX product for any generally described application.
CONNECTION AND OPERATION
1. Turn off and un-plug electronic equipment.
2. Plug the equipment into the RX unit.
3. Plug the RX unit into a grounded wall outlet.
4. Observe the monitoring LEDs on the RX device. POWER LED indicates the unit is plugged in and operational. PROTECTION LED confirms properly connected equipment is fully protected. FAULT LED indicates a fault with site wiring which needs to be inspected. This fault relates to the wiring connected to the wall output. Fault conditions that would be indicated include reverse hot and neutral leads, missing safety ground and voltage in excess of 165 volts for over 3 seconds.
Important: if the FAULT LED comes on the RX unit will not provide
power to connected equipment. Once the fault has been corrected the PROTECTION LED will come on and power will be applied to connected equipment. Do not attempt to repair faulty wiring.
Contact a licensed electrician.
SURGE PROTECTION
The RX50 includes components that absorb or divert hig h speed, high energy normal and common mode surges that can cause immediate or eventual damage to electronic components. Energy impulses as great as 6,000 volts are reduced to no more than 10 volts between hot and neutral and only 0.5 volts between neutral and ground.
While ground line surges and disturbances don’t typically cause catastrophic damage, they can result in operating failures and im proper performance of digital processing equipment. For that reason RX Series ground line interference pas through is limited to a very low level.
