The Juice Goose RX Series products are AC power conditioners that protect against AC line surges and line noise.
These devices use an advanced, patented hybrid AC filter
technology which protects against high voltage electric
power surges and disruptive, high frequency line noise on
the hot, neutral and ground power leads.
GENERAL SAFE USE PROCEDURES
> Use indoors only.
> Avoid dropping the unit.
> Only plug the RX product into a three pronged
grounded outlet. This unit is not to be used with any type
of ground “lift” or pin eliminator.
> Do not open the RX product. There are no user
serviceable parts inside. Opening the unit will void your
warranty.
DISCLAIMER
Juice Goose shall under no circumstances be held responsible for any losses, damage, or injury resulting directly
or indirectly from the use of a RX Series device in a
manner contrary with accepted, safe operating methods
or any instructions contained in this document. The user

CONNECTION AND OPERATION
1. Turn off and un-plug electronic equipment.
2. Plug the equipment into the RX unit.
3. Plug the RX unit into a grounded wall outlet.
4. Observe the monitoring lights on the RX device. The

fully protected. The RED light indicates faulty site wiring
which needs to be inspected. This fault relates to the wiring connected to the wall output. Fault conditions that
would be indicated by the RED light include reverse hot
and neutral leads, missing safety ground and voltage in
excess of 165 volts for over 3 seconds.
Important: if the RED light comes on, for protection purposes, the RX unit will not provide power to connected
equipment. Once the fault has been corrected the GREEN
light will come on and power will be applied to connected
equipment.
Do not attempt to repair faulty wiring. Contact a licensed
electrician.
Some RX Series products are equipped with RJ style connectors that can provide protection for telephone/modem
lines or ethernet data network lines.
5. Plug any source telephone/modem cables into the combination RJ11/RJ45 connector marked “LINE”. Plug the device to be protected into the connector marked ”DEVICE”.
6. Use standard CAT5 cable when using the Network protected RJ45 circuit.
