SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
The JG 8 series products (JG 8) are designed to operate with 120VAC, 60 Hz. Operation with 220 or 240 volts will cause damage and possibly cause personal injury.
CAUTIONS
create a hazard.
2. There are no user serviceable parts inside. Do not attempt service yourself. Contact Juice Goose as directed in this manual if service is required.
3. Do not expose the JG 8 to moisture. Avoid severe physical impacts to the unit.
DISCLAIMER
Juice Goose shall under no circumstances be held responsible for any loss, damage or injury resulting from the use of the JG 8 in a manner inconsistent with any of the procedures outlined in this document. The user is responsible for determining whether this product is appropriate for the intended application.
Juice Goose is not responsible for any indirect, secondary or ancillary loss or damage, including personal injury, loss of or damage to property or loss of income resulting from the operation or failure of this unit.
FRONT PANEL Lighted Power On/Off Switch – This switch controls power to all 8 outlets on the back of the chassis.
Light Tubes (JG 8L, JG 8LED and JG 8LM) – The JG 8L, JG 8LED and JG 8LM feature two pull out dimmable lights that can be rotated to control the intensity and direction of the two light beams. After use, the lights slide inside the chassis to store conveniently away. The JG 8LED features long lasting and cool operating LED lights that should never need replacing. The 8L and 8LM use 7 Watt “night light” style bulbs which install from the front of each light tube assembly. To replace bulbs, unscrew front tube cap and rotate bulb counter clockwise.
Voltage Meter (JG 8LM) – The JG 8LM includes a 20 segment Voltage Meter that indicates levels of incoming AC voltage. This color coded meter displays safe (green), marginal (yellow) and dangerous (red) levels of incoming voltage. This meter can help diagnose problems that result from common AC power sags and swells.
REAR PANEL AC Outlets – These 8 outlets (NEMA 5-15R) are rated for current loads up to 15 amps per outlet at 120 volts.

Power Cord – The power cord has a third pin safety ground connector. Do not defeat this feature. Doing so could subject user to a hazardous condition.
INTERNAL PROTECTION COMPONENTS The JG 8 Series products have a basic level of AC power protection consisting of a fast acting metal oxide varistor between hot and neutral and a line capacitor between hot and neutral to reduce high frequency line noise and AC line surges.
TROUBLE SHOOTING The JG 8 is well designed and constructed. Every JG 8 is submitted to a full functional test before being shipped by Juice Goose. It requires neither maintenance nor adjustment. It is unlikely to malfunction. However, there are potential events to note:
The JG 8 will not come on or turns itself off. a. Check the status of the power supplied to the unit. Use a voltage meter and/
or polarity tester to examine the status of incoming power. b. Check that the circuit breaker is not tripped and that the current load on the unit does not exceed its rated capacity. If the breaker is tripped, turn off the power switch, remove sufficient current load to reduce the total to no more than the rated current capacity, wait approximately 30 seconds after the tripping. Reset the circuit breaker and turn the power switch back on.
One or more lights will not turn on.
The incandescent bulbs in the JG 8L and JG 8LM have a long but limited service life. Especially if only one of those lights does not function unplug the JG unit, unscrew the cap on the end of the light tube, examine the bulb and replace as necessary with a 7 watt candelabra based bulb. The lights on the JG 8LED should last for the service life of the JG unit. If one of those lights does not work contact Juice Goose for service assistance and possibly factory repair.
NOTE: If necessary, in order to turn off the JG 8, the power cord to the JG 8 can be unplugged from the wall or other power source.
If an observed problem can not be remedied, particularly if the problem seems severe or dangerous, discontinue use of the JG 8 and contact Juice Goose directly.
REPAIR Should your product need service contact Juice Goose for assistance and authorization to return the unit. PLEASE NOTE: a return authorization number is required in order for the service personnel to correctly and promptly identify, repair and return your unit.
You may obtain a Return Authorization Number by calling: 713-772-1404 or sending email to info@juicegoose.com.
