Overview
General description
Smile 11RA/B/C are reset buttons intended for use in a safety circuit. Smile 11RA is a universal model compatible
with standard PLCs using a NO-contact. Smile 11RB is designed for use with Pluto safety PLC, reducing the
number of terminals needed by one. Smile 11RC is designed for Tina Duo.

Installation and maintenance
Installation precautions
First mount Smile to the surface with two M5 bolts, then attach the M12 connector.
Warning! The complete unsafe area protected by the safety devices must be observable from the position of the
reset button. The safety circuit must never be reset unless it can be confirmed that the unsafe area is unoccupied.
Incorrect installation:
Warning! The reset button must not be mounted where it can be reached from an unsafe position (e.g. by
reaching an arm around a corner or a finger through a mesh).
Maintenance
Caution! In case of breakdown or damage to the product, contact the nearest ABB/Jokab Safety Service Office or
reseller. Do not try to repair the product yourself since it may accidentally cause permanent damage to the product.
