60cm/90cm Cooker hood
Care and cleaning
Note: Switch off and unplug the cooker hood before carrying out any
cleaning or maintenance work.
Clean the interior and exterior casing using a cloth with water and mild
(neutral) detergent.
Do not use abrasive cleaning materials or scouring pads when cleaning the
cooker hood as this may damage the stainless steel nish.
Cleaning and replacing aluminium lters
This cooker hood is supplied with aluminium lters.
Aluminium lters are designed to absorb grease and dust during cooking.
They should be removed and cleaned once every two months, or more
often if you regularly fry food.
If all the indicators (see page 6) light up when the cooker hood is switched
off, this indicates that the aluminium lters require cleaning. Once the lters
have been cleaned, with the cooker hood switched off hold down the 10
Minute Timer button until the indicator lights go out.
To clean the aluminium lter:
1. Press the button to open the cooker hood.
2. Grip the front panel on the downdraft at both sides and pull. The panel
will open to allow access to the lters.
3. Remove the aluminium lter (A).
4. Wash the lter in warm soapy water or in a dishwasher.
5. Replace the aluminium lter in the downdraft.
6. Firmly close the front panel on the downdraft.
7. Press the button to close the cooker hood.
The lters may discolour after a few washes. This is normal and does not
mean that they have to be replaced.
Cleaning and replacing charcoal lters
Charcoal lters are designed to absorb grease, dust and unwanted odours
during cooking. They are only required when the cooker hood is used for
recirculating (i.e. when it is not ducted out).
If all the indicators (see page 6) light up when the cooker hood is switched
off, this indicates that the charcoal lters require cleaning. Once the lters
have been replaced, with the cooker hood switched off hold down the 10
Minute Timer button until the indicator lights go out.
Non-regenerable charcoal lters must be replaced at least every six months.
The charcoal lters (B) are tted behind the aluminium lters. To access the
charcoal lters, follow the instructions for removing the aluminium lters.
