For your safety, this product must be installed in accordance with local Building Regulations.

Fix the metal bracket to the ceiling, ensuring there
is a joist at the point of fixing to support the weight
of the product. Mark in the ceiling the position of the bracket holes. Drill in these points ensuring any wire of the existing household wiring could be damaged. Insert the wall plugs, place the bracket over them and screw up the bolts.

who is registered with an electrical self-certification scheme. Further
information is available online or from your Local Authority.
To prevent electrocution, switch off at the mains supply before installing or
maintaining this fitting. Ensure other persons cannot restore the electricity
supply without your knowledge.
Always use the correct type and rated power bulb. Never exceed the rated power stated.
When changing a bulb, always switch off at the mains and allow the old bulb to cool down before handling. Dispose of used bulbs carefully.
The bulb and surrounding parts can become extremely hot during use.

Having identified the household wiring from your existing light fitting, connect to the connection block
inside. Ensure that :
You have correctly identified the house wires.
The connections are tight. No loose strands have been left out of the connection block.
Place the canopy over the metal bracket inserting and tightening the screws. provided.
Fit the shade using the shade retention ring.
Fit the bulb type/rated power as indicated on the luminaire. The rated power indicated must not be exceeded. Switch on the electricity supply at the fuse board.
