SAFETY WARNINGS
-These instructions are very important. Please read this instructions manual carefully before using the appliance and keep it at hand to refer to it at any time.
-JOCCA declines any responsibility for the improper use of the product, or any other use that is not described in this manual.
-Before using the product for the first time, unpack the product and check that it is in perfect conditions. If not, do not use the appliance and contact JOCCA, as the guarantee covers any damage from origin or manufacturing defects.
-This product is only indicated for domestic use. Do not use the appliance outdoors. Never leave the appliance exposed to climatic agents such as rain, snow, sun, etc.…
-Do not immerse the appliance or any part of it in water or any other liquid.
-Use the appliance on a flat and horizontal surface. Do not place on rugs, carpets, etc.
-Do not knock or drop the scales.
-Do not get onto the scale with wet feet, you may slip.
-Remove the battery from the compartment if you are not going to use the scales fora long period of time.
-Change the battery when it run out.
-Only use batteries of the same model or equivalent to those recommended.
-The battery must be fitted in agreement with the correct polarity indicated.
-Never place the battery compartment close to a fire or heat source.
-Do not throw the batteries into the fire or place the control unit in direct sunlight.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
-Before of use the device, place the batteries in the emplacement. Before putting them, please make sure that the voltage of the batteries is the correct.
-Open the lid of the batteries at the back of the scale, and place the batteries according to the marked polarity.
-The scale will then switch itself on automatically.
-To switch it off, push the On/Off/Tare button for a few seconds and the scale will switch itself off.
-If you wish to place a recipient on top of the base to weight some type of liquid, or add several ingredients by measurement, press the On/Off/Tare selector, the scale will return automatically to 0, and then you can add various different ingredients.
-This scale can weigh in grammes, ounces, Kilos or Pounds. By default the scale will read the weight in the last unit selected, but if you wish to change the weighing unit, press the (UNIT) weighing selector, and this will change automatically in the following order: g-oz-kg-lb.
- This scale will automatically switch itself off when no movement isdetected for a few seconds.
ERROR MESSAGES
-When the screen shows "EEEE", this means that the product being weighed exceeds the maximum weight allowed by the scale. (3Kg.)
- When LO appears, this means that the battery is flat or is nearly flat, and should be changed as soon as ever possible.
CLEANING AND STORAGE
-Do not use abrasive detergents or products that may damage the appliance.
-NEVER IMMERSE THE APPLIANCE IN WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID.
-Use a damp cloth or sponge to clean the appliance.
-Do not place vertically, even when not in use.
-A storage temperature of between 10 ºC - 55 ºC is recommended.
