Thank you for choosing a JL Audio Stealthbox® for your automotive sound system.
With proper installation, your new vehicle-specific enclosed subwoofer system
will deliver years of listening pleasure.
We strongly recommend that you have your new Stealthbox® installed by your authorized
JL Audio dealer. The installation professionals employed by your dealer have the necessary tools
and experience to disassemble and reassemble your vehicle properly. If you prefer to perform your
own installation, please read this installation guide completely before beginning the process.
If you choose to per form the installation yoursel f, it is abso lutely vital that
the Stealthbox® be properly mo unted to the vehicle according to these
instructions . Failure to mount the enclosure prop erly presents two problems:
1) The sub-bass per formance will suffer due to the movem ent of the enclosure
caused by the force exe rted by the woofer(s).
2) A loose enclosure presents a serious safety haza rd in the event of a collision
or sudden deceleration.

POWER RECOMMENDATION
JL Audio recommends hi gh quality ampliers such as the J L Audio HD750/1. The diagram b elow shows the recommended crossove r settings for the HD750/1. For a detailed description of t he amplier settings, consult th e
owner’s manual for the a mplier. If another amplier is being us ed, please reference this illustr ation and use similar settings on tha t amplier.
CONNECTIONS
Using quality powe r, signal, a nd speaker wire is essential in ensuring th e performance of your Stealthbox ®. JL Audio re commends using a 4 AWG power kit such as the XD -PCS4-1B for your Stealthbox® amplier. Other k its
are available should yo u be using more than one amplier. Signal wire s uch as the JL Audio Premium Audio Interconnec t Cables should be used that will p rovide signal for both channels of th e amplier. JL Audio
recommends using 12AWG speaker wire for su bwoofers such as our XC-BCS12-25.

STEP 4
Remove the bolt under each of the enclosure ports.
STEP 8
Remove the center nut to loosen the two metal brackets.
STEP 3
Carefully unclip the trim around each of the enclosure por ts
as shown.
STEP 7
Remove the lower carpeted panel as shown.
STEP 2
Fold down the rear seats to gain access to the fac tory
subwoofer enclosure.
STEP 6
Remove the two small carp eted panels, unbolt the enclosure
brackets, and remove the brackets from the vehicle.
STEP 1
Empty the back seat area.
STEP 5
Unplug and remove the enclosure from the vehicle.
